“Yoga for new movers” is the cutest class! The teacher is very thoughtful and uses the class to create a nice space for babies to practice crawling and walking. The parents that attended were all very kind. The studio is beautiful and provided mats at no cost, which was a nice touch.
I love the community at Lighthouse Yoga Center. What intrigues me the most is the amount of classes that are offered from Kundalini Yoga, Hatha Yoga, and Prenatal Yoga. There is also a variety of workshops at your fingertips to meet all of your spiritual and physical needs. In a recent class, someone expressed to me that it was so refreshing to find such an all inclusive yoga space in the DMV area. All of the teachers at Lighthouse have something beautiful to offer!
I have been coming to the studio for 7 years. I love that the studio offers almost daily opportunities to practice Kundalini yoga, especially in D.C. proper. And I have been a regular in the 2 Yin yoga classes offered with Machelle (love her over 25 yr knowledge of TCM), partner yoga studio of Lighthouse.Julie, the former studio owner, is the epitome of quality, community, diversity, inclusion, and social justice. And now, Rebecca, current owner, carries that torch. I also see these values amongst the attendees as well.I love the variety of instructors and workshops/retreats that I have had over the years.
