I was being treated by a dermatologist for over 3 years, getting needles in my head once a month for scared alopecia. I started looking for someone to address my hair loss because hair was thinning quickly and it was getting harder to cover the thinning spots. I stumbled upon Lavette Allen and within 2 mths, I saw new hair growth and hair was thicker. She has a beautiful spirit and no one is a stranger in her salon. She is knowledgeable about her craft and the products she uses have made a difference with my hair. It has been over 5 mths and the thinning spots i had are filled in with hair, hair is thicker and hair length is cut every 2-3 wks because it is growing out so fast. I have 4C hair and I had a perm at the time but I entrusted her to care for my 2 young daughters natural hair as well (when being natural wasnt popular). I have been going to get my haircut by Cara for years. She is the only one I trust to cut my hair, as I usually have long very curly hair. I need to get as many haircuts as I can before she retires which hopefully will not be anytime soon. She is very accommodating and listens to what I want to try with my hair. I went to see James with my daughter to get matching tattoos, and it was such a great experience from start to finish. This was my daughter’s first tattoo, so she was understandably a little nervous, but James immediately made her feel comfortable, relaxed, and confident. He took the time to make sure we were both comfortable and did an amazing job with our fine-line tattoos. They came out exactly how we envisioned them!
His pricing was very reasonable, and he went above and beyond by touching up another tattoo of mine that he had done a while back—for free!

I have been in the medical field for around 20 years as an EMT/Paramedic and never thought much of chiropractic medicine until I was at a standstill with my back, neck and chronic headaches. I saw many practitioners from several different medical specialties and had more medications thrown at me than one can imagine, as well as surgery suggested more than once. I figured it was time to give chiropractic medicine a go as I was out of options. I wish I hadn't been so narrow minded and wish I had found Dr. Katey sooner! I haven't had a headache in weeks, I can walk and move so much better and haven't had to take any pain medications or muscle relaxers since Dr. Katey started treating me. Just like any medical profession there are good practitioners and bad ones who ruin it for the rest. Dr. Katey is so far beyond excellent in my opinion and is clearly passionate about her profession. Sarah, Dr. Katey's office manager is pretty awesome too and both are super friendly. Don't hesitate... your search has ended... call her!

I first came here for prenatal yoga during my pregnancy (until literally my due date!) and later returned for the Baby & Me class after my little one was born. Margot, Jamie, and Don are incredibly skilled at creating a space that is both grounding and inclusive, giving options for growing and recovering bodies. Having a community of other parents was incredibly meaningful and supportive during such transformative stages of life—I can’t imagine this year (physically or emotionally) without this group!
The Well was recommended to me by several members of my care team during pregnancy; when I was told by my OB that they’d want to induce me if I didn’t go into labor by my due date, I booked a prenatal massage with Kelly. I asked for her to hit the induction acupressure points during my very relaxing and soothing massage (the best one I had during my pregnancy!) and 12 hours after my appointment, I went into labor. I’ve recommended The Well to many people since then and look forward to my next massage. Thrilled to have such an incredible resource for women on the Shoreline!
