“I had a dog, she was 14 who passed this summer. I moved to Naugatuck in 2019 and drove an hour to my vet in Milford I was familiar with because I was worried to change and find a vet I liked as much as the one I was use to.Fast forward to my two new puppies I was determined to find a vet that was closer to home that I trusted and loved as much as my last vet.Country Companions did not disappoint. They are attentive and caring. You don’t feel like a factory line of dogs in and out. It feels like personalized attention. The puppies were happy and comfortable. They were stars of the office and got all the loving from the people there !One other thing I love that most vets I found don’t have or offer is an after hours emergency number. Not for after hours service but if you have questions or unsure if it requires an emergency room visit there is someone on call. I can’t tell you how many times I wonder or worry when it’s after hours on the right thing to do ! So it’s added peace of mind.Front desk ladies are also great and friendly. They shouldn’t be forgotten in this ! They make the experience from every phone call to payment at the end.“

“I can only start this review in one way: They saved my cat. My cat has been a sick baby since she was born. After being to a couple of places, where we were told that our cat was not going to make it or where the vets didn't even bother that much because "she was a lost case", we found Dr. Arcuri. She was so kind, so knowledgeable and did everything to improve my cat's life. She really did the impossible. Now, our cat is a very healthy and playful animal, that happens to have EPI - completely under control. If it wasn't for them, I do not think she would be with us today. I am very thankful for having found this place. Thanks Dr. Arcuri, Jen, Danielle and all the staff members for always looking out for her (and even for us).“

Dr Weill formulated a regimen of medications and diet for my dog , and followed her progress closely, with guidance along the way. “Lobby is beautiful, it’s a very nice place! The doctor was attentive and listened to all my comments and concerns for my pup. She was very knowledgeable. The tech was extremely kind and you can tell she loved the doggy attention. Love the staff! Just for an appointment it is almost $100 ($96) it’s outrageous. It really makes a difference to the bill. Pet health is just so expensive that I understand why one can barely afford just to bring their pet in. I mentioned a smell on my girl and the doctor checked her glands. I didn’t know they charged that much to express glands which is $40.95!!! Had I known it would be that much, I would have said forget it! The groomers can do the expressing for $5. They should really let owners know about that pricing before they go ahead and perform it on their own. Im glad they didn’t charge for all the treats that were given to my girl. Other than the crazy prices, the place is nice..“
“Unfortunately my17 year old cat passed at home, and I took her to Mill Pond for cremation. Kimmy was the girl who tended to me and I couldn't say enough about her! She was not only very sweet, but warm hearted, and empathetic at a time I needed it the most. I would recommend this veterinary hospital for to àny and everyone!!“

“This staff is truly WONDERFUL! They care very deeply about the animals in their care and each of them are dedicated to helping animals to the highest degree. Now this is a EMERGENCY Hospital and 24hours so it's not cheap and you should be prepared for the expense that comes w emergency care in order to save your animals life or better it in the way most needed. But I wouldn't have changed a thing about choosing VCA as they saved my amazingly wonderful cat who is like my child. My wife and I LOVE VCA and it's whole Staff! Thank you VCA for being Amazing!!!“
