3250 E 6th Ave, Denver“DYU is a deep look into everything Yoga is and is not. This program will change the way you look at things in life for the better. I originally came to the YTT because I wanted to teach yoga, but then I learned that teaching is one very small part of yoga. Either way, I feel equipped to be a competitive teacher on the job market because of this program. I was pushed to look at the importance of being intentional when representing yoga. I am very grateful for Derik and Beth who lead this transformation.“
6AM - 9PM
2590 Welton St, Denver“Fantastic place that can change your life if you give it the right amount of commitment and effort.“
7AM - 9:30PM
1308 N Pearl St, Denver“Black Swan is and will continue to be my go to studio- I have been practicing here for almost four years (I have a teaching license and 10 years of experience practicing yoga). I continue to enjoy classes here because of its low class cost (it says donation based but requires minimum $15 online to book in advance, still the best price in the city), my ability to walk here and for some specific teachers that just knock it out of the park.
Every instructor is very very different. Some ‘flow’ classes feel more grounded while others feel closer to a power class and some lacking structure. Some are more traditional and others less so. If you are strong, experienced and looking to be pushed I cannot recommend Lindsey and John enough. Their approach to teaching is respectful to tradition, with inspiring and intuitive transitions that attract wonderful yogis from all over the city. I take class with them as much as I possibly can. For flows, Devon, Erica and Rebekah- take their classes when you can (Devon’s breathwork is particularly wonderful, meditative and grounding). The ‘slow flow’ classes here are inconsistent (some are just flows and others lean towards yin) but I’d recommend GK for more of a challenge and Mackenzie for something closer to yin.
Overall this has become my yoga home since moving to Denver. My particular complaints are towards their well intended community building- I understand encouraging students to speak to one another is friendly in theory, (teachers often tell their classes to turn to the people next to them and discuss a certain topic) but as someone who uses yoga therapeutically, it doesn’t feel trauma informed and isolates students who may not want to interact with a stranger in a vulnerable space for whatever reason + folks that attend classes consistently always wind up speaking to eachother in their own time- secondly, just inconsistency with what you can expect from each class type = flow or power could mean traditional vinyasa or more modern hybrid classes and third, seeing classes filmed by instructors feels invasive and uncomfortable, the physical practice of yoga is foremost meant to be safe and sacred, and I don’t believe people forfeit that by entering a class.
Be prepared to be packed in! Especially in January. Just completed my second January challenge and had many sweaty nights in here. It’s typically pretty easy to stay within your space / be comfortable (most teachers aren’t cuing poses that take you outside of your mat when there is 30+ people in there, but you can never guarantee someone else will respect your personal space).
I’m moving away soon so I thought id share my experience. I will forever be grateful for the places the instructors I’ve named above have taken me in my practice. Try a few different people! You might find your spot too.“

950-c, Jersey St, Denver“I was attending classes at a couple of Rec Centers (parking was difficult and the class size was undesirable). Fortunately, I discovered Refresh Studios. I have been taking classes in this neighborhood gem for over 4 years. Not only is the studio beautiful, there is a variety of classes taught by amazing instructors and the individuals who attend are so very warm and welcoming. The first class is free….if you live in the neighborhood, I encourage you to explore the Studio’s offerings and experience the lovely environment.“

As someone completely new to Lagree, I was a little nervous walking in, but movements were explained clearly, offered helpful corrections, and created a supportive, non-intimidating environment. The class was challenging without feeling overwhelming, and I always felt encouraged to push myself safely. The studio atmosphere is clean, motivating, and positive, which makes a huge difference.“

4055 Inca St Suite 100, Denver“I moved to Colorado from Atlanta, probably have over 500-classes under my belt prior to relocating. River Yoga (especially the Sunnyside location) is special, and trust me, I tried all of the studios in Denver. The classes are holistic, all unique with a wide range of variety, with open-air options. All of the instructors are light and sunny. The owner, Danielle, is a delightful -- try to take one of her classes. This studio was so healing after my move. Thank you, thank you, thank you!“

1409 N Ogden St, Denver“One of the best yoga studios in Cap Hill! It's open and airy with a wood floor, natural light, and greenery throughout. They feature experienced teachers to help you relax and recharge. I appreciate and recommend the divine beauty Rumi, the energetic sweetheart Brittany, the magical chill pill Maggie, or the vinyasa queen Holly. They're apart of a wellness collective and massage and spa services are also available. While they're located on the second floor, you'll find a cafe with vegan options, a real apothecary, and a tiny but mighty sauna in the same building. Check out their yoga/sauna options it's literally one of the best deals in Denver. There's nowhere else like Rooted Heart!! ?“

She shares herself and pays careful attention to the energy around us and the energy we want to create. I've worked with Courtney several times, 1:1, in a small group, and in a large group for Sound Baths and tarot readings and I'm in awe of her skills and can't wait for our next time together. Make time for her services and she will help you live more fully in this time and space.“

9AM - 8PM
2525 15th St, Denver“Do yourself a favor and book an appointment with Randi. After 10 days of a high anxiety and high tension work trip, my body and mind were in rough shape. I booked a 90 minute deep tissue massage with her and a 15 minute foot, hand, and scalp add on. She spent a few minutes talking with me first about my reason for booking so she could tailor the massage to my specific needs and it ended up being the best massage I've ever had by a very wide margin. Extremely relaxing, perfect pressure applied from start to finish, and I came out of it feeling like a whole new person.“
“As a newbie to Yoga, I've found this to be a supportive community. Sydney is the best with her encouragement during class and even offered me individual guidance after a recent session. Thanks Sydney !!!“
