6239 College Ave #201, Oakland“Symmetry has helped over 2 years, intermittently during the painful moments, where chiropractor adjustment is needed and Symmetry healthcare always is able to do a broad comprehensive healthcare that helps improve my mobility and reduces my pain so that I can get back to exercising. P.S. I'm glad that I can have run-on sentences in my review.“
9AM - 10:15PM
1694 Union St, San Francisco“I did a drop in class as I was traveling through the area. It was super easy to book a drop in, and they had towels and mats to rent. I took Nicole's vinyasa flow class and it was fantastic! Her cues were easy to follow but also allowed to challenge or modify to your abilities. I will definitely keep this studio in mind if I end up with some extra time in San Francisco again.“
“I first started coming here because it was the only place locally that doesn't have any hot yoga and am glad that worked out haha. Ann and Claire are wonderful. I highly recommend Ann for vinyasa and Claire for more mindful, slow meditative work. I do not recommend Suzanne.“
8AM - 7PM
4 Yosemite Ave, Oakland“I started taking yoga classes here 7 years ago, and it has literally changed my life. At that point, my health was very problematic. I couldn't balance with my eyes closed. I couldn't bend all the way over. But after what I've learned at Mountain Yoga, in my mid-70s I have gained flexibility and good balance, and I feel as good as I have in many years. All the teachers I've had have been great, and quite different from each other so there are a variety of approaches. The studio is very good about encouraging each student to find their own best way of practicing, and there are many resources available to make that happen -- different kinds of classes in person, online, and recorded, as well as workshops and retreats. I am an older woman who had no experience at all with yoga before I came here, and I feel like I've found my yoga community.“
6:30AM - 1:45PM
300 Pine St, San Francisco“Had my first class here at Barry's a few days ago. The staffers are informative and helpful, the space is clean and seemingly well-maintained; the class and the instructors were very clear with their coaching for the group class. The space felt very disorienting at first with low-light and loud sound, but once you get settled, it seems fine. My observation is around hygiene and cleanliness. During the class sessions, no one seems to be wiping down their equipments in between use, which seemed very gross especially during a sweat-inducing class. Perhaps there's more encouragement from the instructions to do so during the session?“
6:30 - 11:30AM
1642 Martin Luther King Jr Way, Berkeley“Lovely yoga studio. Great variety of classes and fantastic teachers (thank you!). The MLK studio is very bright and peaceful. They lend you yoga mats and other props you might need. I highly recommend, for all levels!“

8:30AM - 1PM
3976 Piedmont Ave, Oakland“Updated review:
I decided to try the studio again after the manager reached out to me and offered a class credit. The class was smooth and cheerful. I will go back.
The yoga instructor took 5 minutes of the class talking about politics, going far beyond the typical 'peace and justice for all' messages in yoga practices and kept reminding in the middle of the practice that injustice hurts which made it very stressful. For one thing, it's not inclusive to assume everyone agrees with their views. Secondly, this was my space to meditate and her tone and words really left me stressed out.“
9AM - 7PM
3535 Grand Ave #1, Oakland“Rebeca is incredible. She has healing powers and an incredible touch. She has adjusted to my needs from visit to visit. And I feel completely rejuvenated after seeing her.“
9:30AM - 10PM
301 8th St Unit 250, San Francisco“Such a disagreeable experience with the support. The website doesn’t give any information regarding the memberships they offer. I was very interested by their studio so I decided to text them and ask what is the price of their memberships and what do they include (amount of classes per month, other perks). I’ve been doing some back and forth with them for the last week because they won’t tell me this basic information and are asking me to pay $50 for their introductory package to tell me more.
Edit: thanks for taking the time to address this. I’m sure you are doing an incredible work inside the studio; and I hope that raising this issue will enable you to work out the pricing communication to potential clients better in the future.“

“I love this yoga studio
Awesome instructors
Friendly and encouraging
Amazing practice so helpful for health and spirit“
“I’ve been a member here for about 1.5 years and I really love this studio. I mainly take Yoga Bootcamp with Jane because her energy is so upbeat and genuine, and Meghan’s Sunday evening candlelight yoga is basically therapy — it’s become my ritual to close out the weekend. (As well as a lot of other students’ rituals so it almost always sells out! Book early!)
I’ve also taken some of the power vinyasa classes with Rose and she does really fun and creative sequencing.
I’ve tried Trilogy, Pilates, and Barre too and they wiped me out lol. Those seem to be higher-intensity classes than Bootcamp in my experience. (Or maybe I just take a lot of breaks in Bootcamp ?)
Katy, the owner, is great too. She’s created a really accessible, down-to-earth vibe at this studio and I’m really happy to support this business.
I think there’s a variety of classes for most ages and abilities here. The demo probably skews a little younger in the high-intensity classes (20s-30s) and a little older in the lower intensity classes, and I like that there’s a mix.
Highly recommend this studio!“

“The esthetics of the atmosphere and feeling that Martina and those who helped her have designed and co-created at Gaia Yoga lends itself to experiencing a rich and meditative immersion in the practice. My classes there are built into my weekly schedule. I have resonated with every teacher whose class I have attended, each one unique in their style of teaching and all highly experienced!“
