2567 Shattuck Ave., Berkeley“Cator is an incredible practitioner with a deep knowledge of bodies and their subtleties. She helped me immeasurably after 2 concussions, and has been an incredible resource for my whole family. She's amazingly intuitive, supportive, curious, and healing. Very grateful!“
“I first started coming here because it was the only place locally that doesn't have any hot yoga and am glad that worked out haha. Ann and Claire are wonderful. I highly recommend Ann for vinyasa and Claire for more mindful, slow meditative work. I do not recommend Suzanne.“

933 Parker St 38, BAY 5, Berkeley“Vance is a seasoned and phenomenal teacher. He holds a chill mysore space with wiggle room while at the same time honoring the sacred energy of traditional ashtanga practice. Would recommend for both new and experienced ashtangis.“
“I had a wonderful prenatal class with saraswathi - so knowledgeable, so powerful and transformative. The space is large and full of light and all equipment is provided - she really took care of me with the right supports and blankets. A 2-hr class on a sat morning can seem long, but I really feel like this time is needed during prenatal time to open up and ease in and out of the practice. The time flew by! I’m leaving with lots that I can do at home as well to prepare for birth. I highly recommend for moms to be (if you are going between now and June I’ll see you there!).“

2800 Adeline St, Berkeley“The beautiful physical space and warmth of the people at the front desk make the studio inviting. I found a teacher who works well for me. She is extremely knowledgeable and tuned in to our individual issues“

2530 San Pablo Ave, Berkeley“Excellent teaching and facilities. The only yoga studio in the area that I know of that has a ropes wall -- for those who know, this is important. More generally, The Yoga Room had been in Berkeley for decades -- used to be on College. Many of the yoga teachers in the area and elsewhere trained here. They are seriously expert. But open to and caring of students at all levels. It's actually more important to have an expert teacher when you're a beginner, because yoga is not just a matter of copying poses. A good teacher can explain which muscles you use and how. Beginners need more instruction than experienced students. Highly recommended.“

2228 Sixth St, Berkeley“I've received traditional acupuncture sessions for 50+ years from a variety of acupuncture providers in Bay Area, and at last and none too soon, I discovered this superb and experienced acupuncturist! Her office is comfortable, clean and professional, scheduling with a receptionist in the office. Nancy herself is older and wiser than other acupuncturists-she just knows where to put needles after understanding what you need/want in a brief q and a health conversation. She "gets it" and gets to work! My primary reason for this review of Nancy's practice is Nancy-non-judgmental, very caring and experienced, she listens, providing the best possible outcome of presented issues. Also, she doesn't try to sell you herbs, teas, treatments that so many less experienced try to include. Just the basics with compassion, simply and powerfully, reasonably priced.“
“I am an active sports person who periodically needs a muscle fix or work over. I stumbled on Ren after looking around for a knowledgeable practitioner. I was impressed with the way she listened, approached my issues & suggested solutions. After a session & a few days later I realized that she nailed the muscle group and I was on the path of recovery. I continued with more sessions & later incorporated an overall body work-up. I definitely would not hesitate using her again.“
