203 Southgate Ave, Daly City“Great yoga studio! The schedule is abundant (there are lots of classes throughout the day during the entire week, much better than most other studios I've been to). The instructors are very good and the owner is very nice and reasonable. The showers/changing area is a bit tight; this could be remedied by having a row of open showers (as opposed to thick wall dividers in between) and knocking down the wall between the sinks and the changing cubes, making for a more open layout.“

635 8th St, San Francisco“I love taking classes with Jay he works at both studios. He explains every exercise in detail making it easier to do them and not missing out on any moves. This makes the class more enjoyable for me. The girls at the front get 5 stars too!“

248 Sutter St, San Francisco“I love Hot 8 Yoga. They are definitely superb to all the other Hot Yoga studios around. I recently went to core power in Berkeley and I just cannot deal with the fact that the heat is not hot enough and if you are a regular hot hot eight, you know what I'm talking about and I've been a regular too hot for a long time but right now I live in the East Bay so it's hard for me to get into the city as often but I will get back to hot eight otherwise please bring hot eight to Walnut Creek or the East Bay. I promise you you will be so successful on this side but anyway kudos to you guys for running a great business. Oh by the way, the classes are great and the rooms are always super clean and the instructors are great. I've been a member with them for like almost 5 years or more. I recently moved back up from the the LA area in the Woodland Hills location is superb just as much so super good studio. I can't wait to get back into it maybe in the new year and also when I had to pause my My Account account they were so helpful. Thank you so much to whoever is running the show over there. You guys are the best.“

1615 Oceana Blvd, Pacifica“This is my favorite yoga studio. I have been going here since before Covid-19, and the studio still has maintained the same relaxing and healing atmosphere. Fatima and Jen are my go-to instructors, but any class you take will give you the workout you didn't know you needed. Love it here and will always keep coming back for more yoga sessions!“

1863 El Camino Real, Burlingame“After nearly a year of attending multiple classes per week with many of the instructors, I have only positive things to say. I found myself wanting to return to the studio daily.
The format of the classes, the energy of the instructors, the sense of community, and the convenient logistics all contribute to creating a virtuous cycle for fitness.
Here are some specific observations:
1. Each instructor brings a unique perspective, and in my experience, they complement each other remarkably well.
2. For Pilates: I've had the opportunity to attend several classes with Samara and Akiko. They run sessions that are accessible for newcomers yet challenging for more experienced participants. Their sequencing, modifications, and ability to read and manage the group's energy make them exceptional instructors.
3. For Yoga: The classes I took followed the Bikram sequence, which is fairly consistent. However, each instructor has their own distinctive style, so you're bound to find one who feels just right for you.
4. Logistics: The studio setup is highly convenient, from parking to restrooms, changing rooms, and lockers. With a wide variety of classes at all hours, finding a convenient session is rarely an issue. The only reason not to attend would be if you simply didn't feel like it--not because of availability or scheduling.
5. The community is outstanding. Both the owners, Samara and Sandy, and fellow students are incredibly supportive and always ready to lend a hand.
6. Pricing is also very reasonable, and the cold towels at the end of classes are a fan favorite!
At one point, I sustained an injury (unrelated to ELC). When I spoke with Sam and Sandy, they encouraged me to come in if I felt up to it, which I did. For several weeks, Sam personally assisted me with weights, mats, and towels (I couldn't carry anything myself), while other students helped with my crutches and kept me connected to my practice. I am deeply grateful--and perhaps a bit biased!“

“Phenomenal yoga studio. I can’t recommend it enough. I would give it 6 stars if I could. Has changed my life.I started yoga 3 months ago for the first time and attended regularly. In my first few weeks Steve and Gary went the extra mile to help me learn the poses and the breathing. I wasn’t able to do the basic poses. My head was full of thoughts and I was distracted and uncomfortable. In just 3 months Steve and Gary took me from 0 to doing the full Ashtanga primary series while relaxed and focused. Besides all of the poses I can now do (lotus, handstand, headstand, and a lot more), I leave each class feeling amazing. My body and mind feel dramatically better all throughout the day. This dramatic improvement would have been impossible without their dedicated guidance and effort.I don’t think I could have asked for a better experience. The music and vibe of the place is also amazing. Thanks so much Gary and Steve!“
“Beautiful place! You can really feel in every detail the authenticity and how much the teachers genuinely care“

3315 20th St, San Francisco“The Noe Folk yoga studio is a cozy space with welcoming teachers. They have a variety of classes from Power Yoga to Restorative to Sound Bath. All the props are brand new and clean. I like that you don't have to pay $$ to rent mats etc. If you live in the Castro like me, it is definitely worth the hike up the Castro Street hill!“

1250 Folsom St 2nd Floor, San Francisco“I came to Mukunda Studio for a community yoga class. This place is well appointed with the bolsters, blocks and other props used in Iyengar yoga. It's an easy ride for me on the Folsom St bike lane, and the 12 Folsom and other Muni lines are a good option, too.“
9AM - 6PM
1694 Union St, San Francisco“The Pad is a great studio! I like it because it is close to my house, parking is relatively easy and they offer many different classes everyday. I feel like post-covid, many yoga studios only offer a couple of classes a day and I appreciate having more options. It is a very calm and relaxing environment and folks of all levels are welcomed and challenged. The teachers range from very good to really freakin' awesome - there are a couple who clearly know their stuff and have a lot of experience to share.“
7AM - 8PM
425 Mission St Suite 212, San Francisco“Gym is very clean, although a bit smaller than some of the other gyms like Soma. Environment isn't quite as serious as others, but still good for a quick lift.“

245 Columbus Ave, San Francisco“Sisters in Motion has completely changed my life.
This isn’t just a dance studio, it’s a space where I’ve reconnected with my body, built real strength, and found a supportive, inspiring community of women. I was initially nervous to try something new, but from the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed, encouraged, and completely free to show up exactly as I am.
The classes are an amazing mix of movement, music, and empowerment. Whether it’s sensual flow, strength-based conditioning, or something more expressive and emotional, every class offers something unique. You get a real workout, but more than that, you leave feeling grounded, energized, and more connected to yourself.
The instructors are phenomenal, skilled, kind, and genuinely invested in your growth. They create a space that’s inclusive, non-judgmental, and FUN. I’ve seen huge shifts in both my physical strength and my confidence since starting here.
If you’re looking for a place to move, heal, grow, and be in community with other powerful women, I can’t recommend Sisters in Motion enough. It’s become a vital part of my life and well-being.“

“I love love love this studio! It is truly my escape that I use to destress after work and is full of amazing instructors that are both knowledgeable and helpful. They also offer morning workout classes that get me energized for the day. I also love that they provide all of the equipment you could ask for like the basics of mats and blocks to the more extra things like straps, blankets, mat cleaner, etc. It really feels like a community at this studio and I highly recommend!!“
