“I have been to many gyms in my life and have had 3 other personal trainers, and 9Round with Dave and Ovi is hands-down the best I have ever been to! I usually have a hard time motivating myself to go to the gym but I look forward to my 9Round workouts every week. When you enter, everyone greets you warmly. While you work out, trainers and other gym-goers cheer you on and motivate you. When you leave, you're congratulated on a great workout and walk out of the door with a smile on your face. It truly is a wonderful experience from start to finish. Be ready to work, though! 9Round provides a high intensity, full body workout. They also offer body mapping and consultation, which has helped me orient my workout and weight loss goals. Dave also provides me with tons of nutrition tips and challenges that have made a huge difference for me! I truly cannot say enough good things about this gym, so sign up already!“

For example, during my consultation session I was intro’d to another woman by name who was there for the first time.Highly recommend Julian as a Personal Trainer!!! He is thorough, compassionate and understands the body (he has a degree in kinesthesiology). He properly warms up his clients and talks them through the right way to do the exercises. He varies up the sessions so your body will get a good workout. Plus, he can talk and keep count - ha!Love the people and vibe here and highly recommend Strong Island Fitness for Personal Training as well as group classes.“

“Dr. Lin's semiprivate Muay Thai classes are a great experience. The studio is very well-maintained and clean, and he brings a great energy to instruction. What I mean by that is there's very little of the macho or overbearing energy that drove me away from martial arts after studying tae kwon do for 10 years when I was younger. The classes include a wide range of experience levels, and while he definitely challenges people to push their limits, it's never done in a demeaning or toxic way. Because of his additional knowledge in physical therapy, he's also very cognizant of limitations and dangers on the client's end and is accommodating to them. Lastly, he's great at communicating around scheduling and billing issues!“

“I love Custom Fit and working out with Moe. She has helped me regain strength and stability after a TKR. She is very supportive but also encourages me to move out of my comfort zone when it's appropriate. She's designed at home workouts for me as well. The studio is modern, clean and inclusive. “James Coca at CustomFit has been my trainer for the past year, and it's been life-changing! I'm a pretty sedentary person my nature, and combined with a busy work schedule and a young child, I haven't been able to really exercise consistently...ever? So I was pretty skeptical how much of a difference personal training could make (I've done it before elsewhere and just felt bad the whole time - too exhausted from tough workouts and judged by the trainer for being flabby)...but James is soooo different. He's got incredibly welcoming energy, and is so good at ramping up to a pace that feels achievable, yet also pushes your limits. I immediately saw results without feeling beat up at the end of a workout. James also always shares with me the science and physiology behind what we're doing. He's helped me understand and recognize what muscle groups are working for each exercise, and that has made me infinitely more aware of my own body. We started with weight training because it actually burns more fat than pure cardio. And it was incredible to pretty quickly be able to lift my school-age son like it was nothing! Whenever I felt like I was plateauing because it was so hard to make time for exercise, James would brainstorm with me different approaches of incorporating activity with my schedule. By creating micro-goals that felt achievable, I'm now someone who is working out in some capacity - swimming, running, dance classes, etc - several times a week (and actually look forward to it!). I can't recommend James and CustomFit enough - working with him there has transformed not just my body, but my whole attitude towards physicality!“

I saw my confidence and overall fitness soar over just five months of regular attendance. Kudos to the Flagship team for building such a fun, friendly, and inclusive space (their claim about having the friendliest coaches is true).It's also true that it's the most expensive fitness membership I've ever held, and Flagship's excellent coaches — Jon, Zach, Nikki, and Anaïs — and flexible memberships team have made it an *investment* worth every penny for me. Facilities are clean and well-maintained; personalized attention and safety has been central to every class I've attended.Dog-lovers would be well-advised to take Zach's morning classes, who also has impeccable class music selections :)“

“Anthony provides a friendly, non judgmental atmosphere to work out in and reach your personal fitness goals. He tailors the workout to your goals whatever they may be - weight loss, general fitness, gaining muscle, etc. Clientele includes a wide variety of ages and training experience from beginner to intermediate. Workouts are done in small batches of 3 people during each time slot - so no waiting for machines, and you get personalized attention from Anthony. Workouts are circuit style, and Anthony can also tailor them on the fly depending on your current needs. The session lasts between 30-45 mins. You feel accountable to Anthony and the peer group you train with, and everyone pushes and encourages everyone else to train hard. You will leave exhausted but happy. If you're having trouble committing to a regular gym schedule, this environment is very conducive to developing a good gym habit. The health, fitness and confidence you gain from this affects every aspect of your life, so the cost seems insignificant for the benefits you reap. Anthony offers a free workout session where you can try out 1 day, and it's a nice way to test if you like it. I can't recommend Anthony highly enough - this will change your life.“

“Jill Harris is an amazing trainer, and her development of FitSprings takes exercise -- any kind of technique! -- to the next level and beyond. As someone who has studied ballet since childhood and practices yoga, working out on FitSprings lets me strengthen without being tight and heavy, and builds flexibility and my quick-twitch muscles while keeping my joints and muscles happy, healthy, and well-stimulated. (Never strained -- ever.) There isn't another workout that compares. I just attended Jill's teacher training this weekend, and the possibilities with this equipment are truly endless. I can't praise or recommend Jill Harris and FitSprings enough.“
