I had an amazing experience at 828 Beauty today - a facial and manicure. The facial was the best I’ve ever had, sooo relaxing, and my skin was glowing after! The manicure was great as well, complete with the traditional hand massage that sometimes gets skipped at other nail places these days. The entire experience felt extremely easy and professional, so much that I almost forgot they were students! The space is cute, the staff are lovely, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. Highly recommend!
I moved from Suffolk to Williamsburg November 2024. Finding a new hair stylist is always a challenge. I wanted someone who would style & color my thin, fine hair beautifully & precisely. Finding someone who used the same product line as my previous stylist would be a huge bonus too, as the product line is very gentle.
I found Illusions by Marcus that uses the same product line and gave them a call. I spoke with Marcus, the owner, and he scheduled an appointment with him. I was delighted. And I am still delighted! Marcus is very professional and friendly, as all his staff are. His salon is welcoming and comfortable. My hair has never looked better. Marcus colors & styles my hair with precision and care. I am so glad I found him!

I have super thick and course hair and it’s wavy and long so it can be hard to deal with. After having a bad haircut at a chain/franchise type place I was distraught. After my visit to Reflections my hair was not only fixed but looked amazing!! He also did not have to take too much more length off which I was very happy about. Definitely recommend Joshua! He’s absolutely amazing!!

I have persistent/chronic Lyme disease and am going to Iza for treatment. I've had one session with the PEMF, the Hocat and red light therapy. That day, I felt noticeably more grounded and the following day, less joint pain and swelling. I have been sleeping better as well. My next appt is in February. This New Year's Eve, I celebrated by 70th Birthday! We reserved a waterfront condo. Everyone was blow away by the facilities and the location! We had guests to come, as far away as ATL! The party was a blast! It's 4 days later and people are still calling to say Kingsmill did not disappoint and to let me know, my seafood Gumbo was the best they ever had!

Called them just for an estimate and they showed up after finishing a nearby job and quoted us with a holiday discount, when asked how soon they could the work they edged us in the gaps of their schedule which was only several days out. they kept in constant contact when teams would arrive and what they would accomplish each day. job took two days and followed the routine of many YouTube videos so I was able to monitor every stage of the work. John the co owner was on site the second day and ensured we were pleased with not only the work but the results. would recommend them to any one.
Review for Sword Hardwood Flooring. 3/3/26
For our home in Ford’s Colony, Williamsburg, VA
Last week, we had Sword Hardwood Flooring associates come in to refinish our white oak flooring. This flooring was put down when the house was built in 1998. A few of the boards were damaged and needed to be replaced. The rest were all old, discolored, and rough.
These three associates came and went to work on Monday morning. All of them were polite, professional, and personable. They explained exactly what they were about to do, answered our questions, and estimated how long the job would take for the living room, dining room, and long hallway.
They crushed it! The first day, they removed the floor moldings and any hardware. Rough-sanded all the areas FLAT. And I mean FLAT. The wood floor looked great. In the next three days, they replaced the 3 boards (in 20 minutes) fine-sanded all areas, stained the floor, applied the sealant, and applied 3 coats of protection. And throughout this work, each associate worked on our floors as if they were in their own home! The floors look AMAZING.
We have been renovating this house since we moved in three months ago. We have put a significant amount of money into it, but dollar-for-dollar, having the floors redone was the biggest bang for the buck! The work was excellent, they were done ahead of schedule, and we could not be happier with the result.

Williamsburg Flooring & Design did an absolutely fantastic job replacing a large section of damaged hardwood. They began by going over our various options, providing quotes for each, and discussing the pros and cons of different approaches. Once work began, they took the time to color-match the replaced section to the existing sections perfectly, and were extremely careful in their work. Overall, they went above and beyond all of our hopes. Additionally, they were upfront and transparent about pricing, extremely responsive, easy to work with, and highly efficient. They did a genuinely fantastic job, and I can't recommend their services enough.

Daniel ********* and his crew built a beautiful new retaining wall to replace our old crumbling wall. He included a custom-designed bench that is beautiful and functional and makes the area more visible so that vehicles don't get too close. He worked with us throughout the project and invited our input when he had to make some choices along the way, He also fixed a drainage issue in the driveway. His crew is busy and it may take him a wile to get to your project, but the quality of the work is worth the wait.

Planted over 50 plants and bushes along with a beautiful birch tree around our property. Renee in the office always picked up the phone and was a great communicator when I would make a change and or wanted an update. The crew got the work done in one day and when they arrived they walked the property with us one last time to ensure that the plants were in the correct spots. They also did some rock landscaping for a drainage ditch, which looks great! I would certainly work with them in the future.

I've used Dan's Tree Service twice in the past couple years to trim and prune a very large, beautiful crepe myrtle. He sent about 8 crew members to do a job that took less than two hours on 29 December, and charged me a very fair price. Dan could have closed his business for the holiday season, but he did not. With little if any profit on this job, Dan seemed more interested in keeping his employees busy and giving them a paycheck during the holidays. That's a smart business owner who values both his customers and his employees.

After a nightmare experience at another local dental office, I was referred to Williamsburg Dental Group. I was understandably a bit apprehensive going in, but Dr. Ward and her team were absolutely outstanding. She listened carefully as I shared what had happened during my previous visit and reassured me that my experience with WDG would be very different.
She absolutely delivered. Dr. Ward and her staff were warm, professional, and took the time to explain everything clearly, step by step, including the work I needed. It had been a while since my last cleaning, and with surgery scheduled just two weeks away, Dr. Ward went out of her way to fit me in beforehand. That level of care was completely unexpected and deeply appreciated.

Dr. Garmen is the very best of what you want in a vet. She is caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable and you can trust her to take care of your little fur baby. She will get down on the floor to greet a shy dog like mine and offers advice or share ideas on behavior and such. I will never go to another vet.

I was in the market for finding a new vet for my dog after just feeling like I needed too. Making the appointment was simple and the staff was able to answer all my questions prior to the appointment. The doctor and technician were great! It was a smooth overall experience and I'm so glad not to have unnecessary things forced on me and everything suggested was simply suggested, which I greatly appreciate. The doctor and technician seemed very caring and empathetic towards myself and my dog. Thank You, thank you. I do have some follow-up questions I didn't think of while in the office, but I'll have to give a call. I certainly will continue to have my dog cared for at this vet. Dr. B, you are not only an awesome doctor with great surgical skills, you are a kind and compassionate human being! We are thankful we found you. I’ve been to other local vets, and you definitely stand out above the rest. We recently had to put our dog down and you did it in the most empathetic way. This was not the first time we have been through this and believe me there was such a big difference between you and the other vet. Because it hurts too much to go into detail, I will just say that your compassion made a big difference in the extremely sad loss of our canine family member.

The entire staff including Dr. Bates vet doctor listens to my needs about my pets. I am severely hearing impaired, and they always speak so that I understand what is going on. They help me as a pet parent by providing support to show me how to properly administer medication ointment and cleaning tools to do correctly once at home for my pet to heal properly. I cannot say enough good things about them. They are truly wonderful people. My Henry is healing nicely and back to his spunky lil self.

First thing this morning we were traveling into Williamsburg and wanted to book an on the spot grooming appointment for our dog. I called two places that were full before calling Toni’s. When we called we explained that our bully mix was six months and never been groomed before. Not only did Toni take our appointment on the spot but was also extremely knowledgeable, accommodating, and simply amazing. Our pup came out looking and smelling fantastic. We will be scheduling with Toni in the future!
My dog Jax had such a good experience at the Grooming Divas. I knew he wasn’t comfortable with all the tools/bathing with a stranger, but the staff there handled him with such great care. We decided to go with the Spa package because it was just too good of a deal. We will definitely be back and would recommend The Grooming Divas to all!

Alona is a very gifted human (both technical and energetic skills) who is more than generous with her time and energy. Her genuine care for other beings lends to a holistic healing no matter what type of service you choose with her...go meet her and you will understand!
My husband and I do a weekly duet with Jo. Whether we are complaining about an ache or asking to strengthen something, Jo always seems to know some Pilates exercises that are perfect for what we need. It's a great core/all over workout that is helping us age well. Jo is great, but The Pilates Center also has a community atmosphere. We feel like we know the other instructors in a way, even though we have never had classes with them.
I have been taking classes as Club Pilates since May of 2018. I love these ladies, in all the years I have been taking classes, not one class has been the same. The instructors are continually changing things up so that we are not bored and we are always being pushed to be our best...Thank you AMY!!

I cannot recommend David enough! I’ve been seeing him for Cranial Sacral and Myofascial Release Therapies, and the results have been incredible. I originally came in with chronic back pain, headaches, and persistent shoulder pain from an old injury, and his treatments have provided lasting relief.
As a former competitive horseback rider, I had no idea that past concussions were still impacting me, but David was able to detect and address them, significantly reducing my headaches. More recently, I sustained an Achilles injury, and thanks to his expertise, I healed faster and was able to regain strength much quicker than I expected.

Tracy is by far the best therapist in Williamsburg. She comes from a long line of knowledge and wisdom. Is so helpful and kind. I have had chronic neck and shoulder pain for years and Tom has been helping me fix the issue. I get weekly deep tissue massage, and by far, the best I have ever received. Tom is very professional, knowledgeable, and tactful. The space is clean, which I like very much. Tom also does a 5 minutes stretching session after your massage. 5 star service! Highly recommend. A friend and I went to shining spa after four days of golf. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. My friend very much enjoyed his massage and I was more than thrilled with my masseuse, Kay. She took care of my lower back which has been ailing me and made me feel relaxed and special. I would highly recommend Kay and Shining Spa.
