A/C kept coming and going when the weather turned hot. Maurice and his assistant came out and had it diagnosed and fixed in an hour. Couldn't ask for better service.
Shaun, Greyson, Preston, and the rest of the crew did excellent work replacing my old gas furnace and aging AC system with a new heat pump, and also swapping out my gas water boiler for an electric unit. The whole heater repair and installation process was smooth, organized, and handled with real care. Preston was especially helpful with making sure the thermostat was working properly, set up correctly, and fully connected for smart controls. The estimate was explained clearly from the start, including the work scope and pricing, and the follow-up after installation was just as professional. Scheduling was easy, communication was clear, and the team arrived when expected. They made the upgrade simple and stress-free, and I would gladly use them again for future heating repair, heat pump service, and plumbing work.

She was very accommodating since it was our first time and I messed up the appointment on having my daughter hair mid back when it should have been waist length. But she was very understanding and still did my daughter’s hair. She was very quick and gentle since my daughter is tender headed. She made sure to check on her and ensure her hair wasn’t too tight. Truthfully, I've never been a salon girly. 😂 I can probably count on one hand the number of times I've been to a salon in my entire life—this was probably only my third time ever. I also hadn't had a trim in about three years, so I was definitely overdue and decided it was time to get my hair back together!
I booked with Estacia Beauty for a wash, blow-dry, and trim, and the online booking process was super easy. I did have a question before my appointment, so I reached out through Instagram, and they were very quick and responsive, which I really appreciated.
My appointment was at 7 a.m., and she was on time and ready for me when I arrived. The salon is a small, intimate space, which I actually really liked. It's clean, modern, and has a really nice atmosphere. She also had a good playlist going, which added to the vibe.
I ended up adding a protein treatment to my service, and I'm glad I did. She was very knowledgeable, and whenever I had questions about my hair, she was able to answer them and give me helpful recommendations. She suggested products and brands to use, as well as things I could incorporate into my wash routine and overall hair care between appointments.
While she was blow-drying my hair, she also showed me where my damaged/dead ends were and asked if I was comfortable with how much she needed to trim. I really appreciated that, especially since I hadn't had a trim in years. It made me feel more comfortable knowing what she was cutting and why.
Overall, I really enjoyed the experience. I liked her, I liked the space, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Considering I'm definitely not a salon person, I felt really comfortable throughout the appointment, which says a lot!
I actually went ahead and booked my next appointment a few months out because she does stay pretty booked! I'm going back for a silk press and another trim, and I'm excited.
I also love that she has a good range of appointment times, including 7 a.m. appointments and later times, which makes scheduling convenient.
Overall, I'm really happy I found Estacia Beauty. As someone who doesn't normally go to salons, I had a really positive experience and I'm looking forward to going back! 💕

Great, clean organized atmosphere. Never packed or crowded due to over booking because of scheduling. All barbers and stylist are awesome (somebody for everybody) so if you're a new client, you can't go wrong. Just tell them what you want. Entertainment on the big screens and plenty options for readers. Scheduled appointments make everything come together for me so i can plan my day. Light snack options too.There's also a barber college in the building and women's hair styling too.

I came in without an appointment as a walk-in around 2pm for a fill and pedicure. I was immediately greeted by Tatiana & Z, they were both with clients and I knew there would be a wait which was no issue. I am a diabetic so I have to be super careful where I go for my services and this salon does everything according to State Board - very clean and sanitary. I was honestly impressed. My fingers and toes look & feel amazing, I simply cannot wait to go back in 2 weeks!

I went to Hair Strandz to get an animo acid Smoothing treatment or a STS treatment alongside a trim by kenyonda the hair stylist who owns the salon. The service was amazing and she's very kind and hospitable. I had a lot of concerns with getting the treatment because I never heard of it before but the research I did on it plus the quick consultation appointment with her gave me more reassurance that if I got this treatment it'll last for 12 weeks and it wouldn't damage my hair. Alongside that she also gave advice on how to maintain my hair and what I'll need for my nighttime routine. She gives free snacks and drinks while doing the appointment and Played movies on the TV. Overall really happy with how everything turned out. The salon its self is very inviting and cozy.

We live in Jacksonville, NC and what they offer at ACT is by a complete 180 compared to Jacksonville. We will drive the 4 hours back to Newport News just for this experience and price at American Classic Tattoo.

Recently had my hardwood floors refinished by Peninsula Hardwood Floors, and had a great experience! The floors were in terrible shape, with water marks everywhere, deep scratches, staples from old carpet. Now they look brand new! March 2026 - UH just finished installing this amazing hardscape space. They live up to their name and truly blew our vision out of the water. This space was finished in 5 working days. The crew was wonderful and so CLEAN. They picked up all debris at the end of each day, scraping rock off the road and out of my grass.
The owner, delivers exactly what he says he will, and made the entire process so easy. He quotes everything based off sq footage, so you don't need to go in knowing what color/stone you want. We signed our contract before we even went to the show room to pick out materials.
We were nervous about not damaging our beautiful maple and they did an excellent job grading and protecting the tree.
Cannot say enough about this company. Hire them. You will not be disappointed.
Josh and his crew came to my house and essentially rebuilt two ceilings that were caving in from water damage as well as replaced the damaged/destroyed insulation all while i was overseas. With people staying in my home while was away, josh was expeditious in time of repair. I honestly couldn’t believe how quickly they got everything fixed and looking brand new! Josh was referred to me by a friend and I will gladly refer him to you!

I got five bids for my roof replacement. Herb came out and was great to talk to. I'm no roofer, but I have done a ton of research in the last year or so leading up to this project. Herb was the only one of five to point out the necessity of drip edge and proper ventilation. To me, this says a lot about the roofing industry. Many many contractors will happily take your $10k+ and install a roof that will last 1/3 as long as it could if installed properly. Proper intake and exhaust venting is critical, silicone boots, galvanized nails, competently flashed chimney, and other little things need to be done correctly so that the roof lasts as long as possible. Herb was clearly in favor of installing the best possible roof.
Colony worked with my budget and I gave them the job. Herb even suggested another shingle color from the one I thought I wanted. This turned out to be a great pick which I love. He also didn't badmouth one shingle maker over another, and was willing to install any of the quality brands on the market.
They worked diligently all day, and when I arrived home from work, everything was getting buttoned up and they were starting to clean. They spent more than an hour cleaning up, and I have only found one nail that they missed. Overall, they did an excellent job on the install. Everything is so neat and clean, valleys look perfect, little touches like painting the vent stacks just helps the roof look even more sharp. It was a cold day, and got dark quickly, yet these guys managed to get everything right and did a great job cleaning up and limiting disruption to the neighbors.
Cannot say enough good things about my experience. I will be recommending them to anyone in need of a roof or major home improvement project.

I can tell you they’re honest. If you need them, you need them, but if you don’t, they will tell you that also. They did a great job on my neighbor’s trees and also did a great job explaining my yard, tree health and proper maintenance to maintain my yard as a homeowner and the part that each of us play in that moving forward.

Love love love our first experience. We came over from chompers, which is also a great place. But they didn't have any appts until next year. So we were recommended this office. The entire staff is amazing. Brittany the dental assistant was top tier friendly and personable. My kid has cried at every dental appointment since she got her first tooth. We had to basically either hold her down as a toddler to sitting in my lap and holding her as she got older. This was her first visit that she didn't cry! She didn't do everything that they wanted, but they were so patient with her. And I'm sure over time and soon she will be less anxious. Im excited to continue with this office. My only wish is that they also worked with adults. Because we need this energy too!!! Lol.

Donna greeted me as I walked in. Explained I have TMJ on both sides of my jaw. She was professional and the office has a comfortable setting. Yesterday my one side had gotten locked where I couldn’t open my mouth. Matt did a thorough look over my stand and immediately knew I had a hip higher than the other. He adjusted my hip and back!!! Matt also took care of my jaw. I was able to open and close my mouth and walk out with an adjustment on both problems! Matt is excellent.

Dr. Lee is absolutely incredible. She has a way with Walker that is so special. She gets down on the floor with him, speaks his language, plays with him, and earns his trust before even beginning an exam. That level of care and patience means everything to me.
Walker has had a very rough first year of life — parvo at just 4 months old, kennel cough, pneumonia — and he is alive because of the team here. Their quick action, knowledge, and dedication truly saved him.
Last night, I ran in quickly to pick up medication and left Walker in the car since I was only going to be a minute. Dr. Lee and two of the techs came running out with me just to see him and check on him after his neuter surgery. That meant more to me than they probably realize. They genuinely love him, and it shows in everything they do.
The care, compassion, and attention Walker receives here is phenomenal. I am beyond grateful to have found a team that treats my dog like their own.

I would give twenty stars if I could. My dog is scared of everything. People, other dogs, the dreaded dryer, everything. He’s been groomed before but he definitely has anxiety about it. We went to Fuzzy Feet for the first time today. I will never again take him anywhere else but here. My poor guy practically had to be dragged in the door. He wanted no parts of it. When I picked him up a very short hour and a half later, he came BOUNDING out of the back room with Kendall. Big smile on his face, relaxed as could be, jumping and playing. It took him a second to even notice me. My jaw almost fell off. I’ve NEVER seen him make such a quick turnaround with anybody unless I’m standing right there the whole time. And even then it’s nowhere near the level I saw today. I still can’t believe it. Other times I’ve picked him up from other groomers he’s the same anxiety ball he was when I dropped him off. He looks fantastic and smells soooooo good. I will never take him anywhere else now that we’ve found Kendall and Fuzzy Feet.

The hot yoga flow class is great. I am not from the area but travel here every year once or twice. I take at least one class here when I visit. The studio, locker room, restrooms are clean and well maintained. Bill was the teacher in the last class I took. He is a good teacher and helped me with my form in some of the poses. If you haven't tried a hot yoga flow class here you should.

It was my first scheduled massage and I was nervous about what to expect but the masseuse was so aware of the slightest discomfort and communicated with me. the music helped with relaxation and we were greeted by ice cold water in the end if our session. great tip for great service! definitely be going back soon. thank you! sensory info: the atmosphere was pleasant with light white noise in the back ground. rooms are dim but not dark. doors are curtains. the couple Swedish used warm essential oils and hot stones. Essential oil weren't strong in smell. make sure to communicate sensory concerns. its warm and i had no issues with the temp. Lastly, remember to do all that breathing work through the experience! It really helps ease the anxiety and get a deeper better massage. Enjoy!

We have loved our time at Adler Therapy in Newport News. I don’t have enough words to describe how amazing Ms. Shannon has been. She’s seen my daughter and son for the past 1.5 yrs and the difference between when we started to now is astounding. Her attention to what each of my kids loved and how she worked with each of their unique personalities always left me impressed. My kids loved going to see her each week and were sad to graduate. They wanted to continue. That’s how amazing she is! I would highly recommend Ms. Shannon.
We have also been very impressed with Ms. Devon as my daughter’s Occupational Therapist. She has such a calm presence and is so creative. She could always recenter my daughter and draw her into activities whenever she was having a withdrawn day. It was so important to us that my daughter was encouraged into activities instead of pushed into them because she shuts down in those types of situations. Ms. Devon did an amazing job meeting her where she was. I would highly recommend her.
