Coastal did an amazing job helping my grandfather with aging in place! Janice is so kind, knowledgeable, understanding, and worked with me every step of the way from first phone call, to installation and even follow-up calls afterwards! Tommy and Juan were very efficient in installing grab bars and aiding in all my additional needs such as a higher (comfort height) toilet, and slip-proof flooring for the shower! I find it quite easy to sit here, in my upstairs room, and critique everything around me. Every meal out, and every service I receive - such as getting my hair cut or my beard trimmed. This is easy, because I have no risk here, in the land of google. Those that provide a service are the real risk-takers. Nobody fines me if my review isn't fair, but one unfair review can cost the future earnings of those that provide a service to the community. Even if their work is poor, it is of more value than my review. But today I will actually take a risk in claiming a new discovery. I have waited over a year for this moment, because I wanted to find another competitor to make such a comparison to. My challenge is that after a full year, I have failed to find any peer or contender to compare BK to. Let me explain... my search began in the hottest part of the summer of 2023. I went into BK's Barbershop, in a panic when my normal barber was closed for vacation. I noticed that the shop was not particularly big, and there were two customers outside waiting for the line to go down. This was the first indicator that the service was well-worth waiting for. If people are waiting in line to see you, even in the hottest part of the summer, you are clearly doing something right! After a short wait, Carl Booker invited me to his seat. I must preface further critique by noting a terrible observation about the entire barber industry: nobody ever listens to what you ask for. They all have their own ideas about what they think you want, then they project their ideas onto you, thinking that they know your style and character better than you do... and this leaves you walking away, vowing to just go find another barber the next time. But I am quite elated to report: BK does not have this problem! In any detail that could have been ambiguous, he asked for my preferences. I not only got EXACTLY what I asked for, but his attention to detail, and his respect and execution of the customers expectations are dramatically superior to every barber I have ever met. Cutting hair, or shaping a beard, those are not skills, they are arts. And BK is an artist. I am not a particularly attractive man, but BK sent me on my way looking better than I have since my early 20s!!! I knew when I came here that it was my last day living in the local area - I now live three hours away. During the year since my visit, I have been repeatedly disappointed by a dozen lesser barbers and have yet to find a barber I am happy with. I am giving serious consideration to making a 6-hour (round-trip) visit back to BK's once a month, the man is just that good!!!

I have found my new barber. I just moved back to the 757 early part of the morning on 5/23. At 530 pm on 5/23 I was in Nene’s chair. The barbershop decor is on point‼ Vibrant and inviting. Nene was amazing and amazing conversation. Female barbers are the new sexy, and it’s a flex that Nene is not new to this BUT true to this.

Wow this place is a game changer . I went to a guy barber named Marcus and he made me feel like a movie star. Gave one of the tightest cuts I've had in a while. Good atmosphere ! Will go again. Very kid friendly and profanity is prohibited which is a plus when you bring your kids in.

I found her on Instagram and am so glad I booked that first appointment. Our appointments are so lively and even if I don’t have a full idea for a design I can come with reference photos or a vibe and she always gets it right. I trust her judgement. I have not reviewed in so long but let me tell you, I just had the pleasure of experiencing another fabulous massage with Grace at Salters Creek Retreat, and it was an absolutely phenomenal experience. From the moment I walked in, the welcoming atmosphere of the retreat set the perfect tone. Grace greeted me with warmth and professionalism, immediately as she always does.
Her skill and technique are truly exceptional—she takes the time to listen to my needs and tailored the massage to target areas where I was experiencing tension. The pressure was just right, and she seemed to intuitively know exactly where to focus. I left feeling incredibly relaxed and rejuvenated, with noticeable relief in my muscles that lasted well after the session. That’s why I regularly see her every 2 weeks.

Jim was amazing. I had a difficult time getting what was in my head onto paper and another artist had pushed me off for months about it. I came in that day, he spent an hour sketching to make sure I was getting what I actually wanted and and sat me down that same day. As soon as I sat in the chair I felt at ease. He was thoughtful, reassuring, and clearly knowledgeable. This was the first part to what will likely end up a large piece, he's the only person ill be going to for the work. That being said, he was so wonderful ill be taking my friend back for the same customer service

This is the company whose number you save in your phone for when you need a plumber. The Carsons have performed several repairs for us, most recently replacing a toilet. Not only was the work completed quickly, but their pricing was the most competitive. I also appreciated that they took the time to discuss different models with me and explain which features to avoid.
Years ago, they also replaced a garden spigot, and we have not had a single issue with it since. In the past, when I have used other companies due to availability, I have been consistently disappointed. Honestly, I would rather wait a few days without running water to ensure the Carsons are the ones handling the job.
Both of the Carsons are honest, upfront, and deeply value their reputation. They are one of the very few companies in Hampton Roads that I trust completely.

My heat pump's wall thermostat went blank (it doesn't use back-up batteries), so I couldn't use heat or AC at my home. I sent a service request to AHS warranty, and they assigned this contractor immediately. I received a call from the contractor right away and my appointment was scheduled for the next morning. The technician arrived on time and immediately found a blown fuse in the air handler, which he replaced, and the wall thermostat display started working, but the heat and AC still didn't come on. He then went outside to the heat pump and replaced two bad parts (a transformer and contactor, I think). I believe those two parts got fried and caused the fuse to trip. The problem was fixed on the first visit. Both the office staff and the technician were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, and the technician was very thorough in his work. This was my first time using the AHS warranty (or this contractor), and I was pleased that the repair was covered except for my deductible. I would use this contractor again based on today's positive experience.Service: HVAC system repair

We had a serious food spill in a company SUV — Filipino food — and no matter what we did, the smell would *not* come out. We used a Bissell, cleaned it countless times, and tried every deodorizer known to man with zero success. When the heat was turned on, the smell was so strong it was hard to breathe. Windows down, heat blasting… and the stench still found its way right back to us.
At that point, the boss called in Stanley Steemer to clean the upholstery, and we’re very glad he did. The technicians were friendly, professional, and got right to work. They did a thorough job and were great to deal with from start to finish.
So far, so good — the vehicle smells dramatically better. The real test will be once everything is fully dry and the heat hits that seat again, but we’re optimistic. If this works long-term, Stanley Steemer will have officially saved us from the only other solution we could think of: pulling the seat out and setting it on fire. ?

My wife and I needed two upholstered living room chairs and an upholstered ottoman cleaned, and we were surprised at how difficult it was to find someone to do it. Eco Carpet Pro was the fourth company we contacted, and from that phone call through the cleaning process we were impressed with the company's service and professionalism. The representative who answered the phone thoroughly explained the technology the company uses and within half an hour emailed us a written estimate along with a description of what to expect and how to prepare for the cleaning. Will, the technician who came to our home, was friendly and polite. He listened to our concerns and carefully inspected the upholstery, pointing out stains and dirt marks that we had barely noticed. He fully explained the cleaning process before starting work. Within an hour, he was finished, and when the chairs and ottoman thoroughly dried, his workmanship was obvious. Aside from showing signs of normal wear, all three items looked brand new. We strongly recommend Eco Carpet Pro.

I felt a lot of care was put into my project. In my opinion attention to detail could have been better. I advise anyone who is having a building project done to take pictures of every step of the building process and obtain permits even when not required.

They were on time. We paid for a one year pest control contract. Mr Roberson said he might have to come back a few times. He instructed us to call if we saw an more bugs. The crew was great, very efficient, cleaned up the yard after and all were very polite to speak with. The owners, Charles and Jessica were very professional and lovely to work with. Had my first appointment with Morrison Dental Group today June 24th and from the front desk receptionist who Birthday is today I felt welcome.The young Dental hygienist who took me back was on point about explaining things to me about my teeth.Dr.B is awesome..I felt so relieved after he spoke to me about my teeth and the next steps I need to take to get my teeth on the right path to being healthy.

I have an Ortho back problem plus I recently was diagnosed with a very rare thing. She knows all about it. She is so knowledgeable and extremely helpful in relieving my pain and I prefer her Chiropractor care over Physical Therapy.

I am so happy with my choice to use Adler Therapy Group for my physical therapy needs!! Brandon and Marquis are both so knowledgeable and bring everything to the table when you're there. I have had PT for many years and it has literally done nothing. When my insurance told me I had to go through the motions of the PT process again, I was so annoyed. I went to my initial assessment and did what I had to do to get my PT schedule and move on until I could get in with a Pain Management Specialist. Then I started to attend PT with Brandon and quickly realized that I wasn't going to be needing the Pain Management Specialist so desperately anymore. Within a few sessions, my mobility improved and my pain level greatly decreased to manageable. The exercises they gave me were extremely doable and worked specifically on my needs. In the past, I felt like I wouldn't ever see relief, which is why I felt it was a hopeless cause. But it was obvious when I had to miss a few sessions in a row and didn't keep up with the exercises at home. I felt the major difference of my mobility issues being a problem and my pain crept back up. Then I got back on my PT schedule and performed the exercises they recommended and I truly felt so much better. Marquis has a different approach than Brandon, but both are gentle and very affective. They're almost magical!! It's also great seeing them work together because they teach each other new ways to help improve the clients PT plans. They're a great team to work with and watch working together and they're always so friendly and welcoming to clients. I'm so glad I went with this Group and absolutely recommend them to anyone who needs physical therapy. I'm forever grateful too!!
