I was surprised to see these negative reviews and decided to write about my 97 year old mother's experience there after falling and needing hip surgery in January 2025. She had previously chosen Capitol View after a knee replacement and really liked the place. She had a good experience both times. I especially like that therapy is offered 7 days a week, often two times a day. This makes a huge difference. Everyone we encountered, from the unit receptionist, to the financial person, to the nurses were kind and caring. I would highly recommend Capitol View. I am sorry that someone else had a very negative experience. The social worker we were assigned wasn't very good but her colleague helped us out a lot.

I have been going to Valerie for over 5 yrs. She always asks how she can help you? before each massage. Her technique is always on point. She can apply as much or as little pressure as you deem comfortable. I have been in several car accidents and recently had hip surgery. Massage has helped me physically and emotionally. Her room is quiet, comfortable very peaceful. Her space is clean. She is very reasonably priced. You will leave feeling better!! I went in to have Travis Larson do a manicure and pedicure for me after going to a few different local nail salons for many, many years. It was so refreshing to have the nail tech take a moment to listen to my needs and desires and then follow up with that by taking his time to ensure they were flawless. It’s about a 20 minute drive from home but I’ll do the drive every time now to have Travis do my nails. This review has been long overdue. I have been going to Scott Miller studio for my salon needs for a while. I came across his salon through groupon ( first time using the site). He exceeded my expectations and have been coming back for years since then. He definitely gives you a good consultation tailor made for your needs which makes you feel at ease. I travel a lot and family always convince me to get things done at excellent salons in LA but I always wait until I get back to MSP to get my hair done. I will never trust anyone else touching my hair other than Scott. He develops good rapport with his clients . He shows professionalism, precision and beyond par creative artistry. He exemplifies a very strong skill set which he adapts based on his clients inputs. One of the absolute best in his craft. His crew ( four legged furry friends provide a very good atmosphere. I just moved into town from Texas. Jacob cut my hair, and did an outstanding job. He is detailed and attentive, and I can tell he enjoys and cares about his work. The haircut I got was a zero (to the skin) fade on the sides, which is very difficult to find someone to do well.
The only confusing thing is the online booking process (multiple options without explanations on the website). I called beforehand to find out which one to choose, and he was helpful... but I almost didn't book it because of how confusing it was. I am so glad I did though, because I couldn't be happier with my cut!
Velie presents him as a professional at all times, he keeps up with the trend with what these young kids want and always goes above and beyond. He has been my son's barber for about 2 years now, we have no plans on going anywhere. Velie and his team is versatile, makes you feel welcomed and heard, you won't be disappointed.

The cuticle work was great and the owner is very nice. Sadly I didn’t like the gel polish that was used as the base coat. It was modelones brand, which I’ve had issues with in the past. It started chipping on day four which was a real bummer because the manicure and pedicure looked amazing! Also note if you are scheduling with class pass call in advance and make sure the time slot is available.

The CBD massages with Lisa are my go to! She is friendly, listens to her customers and can apply the pressure you seek. I usually flex between the 60 and 90 minute sessions. The booking is super easy as a member using the mobile app and I always get a curtesy call a few days prior. There is a cancellation fee of 50% should you not cancel within 24-hours. The front desk staff is peppy and will guide you into the waiting area where you will be offered a drink and a hot towel if you feel inclined. Bonus - you do NOT have to be a member to book a session. When booking, non members get access to the entire club including child care classes, machines, weights, sauna, etc. Rating this a 4 simply because I feel like the waiting space could use a facelift such as some zen music, candles, or even a small water fall to add some serenity to the space.

Mai and Janesian are amazing. After much money spent and many years trying different methods of laser treatments for my melasma, I really wasn't sure what to expect. I can truly say that I'm FINALLY seeing results after my second and third pigmentation peel. I've been so insecure about my melasma since it started to appear at the age of 17 and just got worse over the years, but Mai and Janesian have changed my life. I am so happy I placed my face in their hands! Can't wait to see what the next few months' treatments will reveal.

Hung is a highly talented artist, he helped me honor my bunny who meant everything to me with a beautiful portrait & flowers of my choice around it. This is my second large/detailed piece by Hung and I love how he is able to take my idea, and make it even better than I can imagine in my head. My colored tattoo I got in 2019 is still vibrant and beautiful so I have no worries of my new tattoo not lasting! I never thought I’d love a piece more than my snake tattoo but I have to say my new one is definitely taking the top spot now. Go support his business, I doubt anyone in Minnesota is as talented and detailed as Hung! I’m very grateful that Hung helped me through my grief with this beautiful work of art.

I always go to this place. I've been going to this place for like 10 years. It's a great place to go to so try it out

St. Paul Water had found a leak in our main water valve, the one ahead of the meter, in our 96 year old home . Mark from Focus was able to come out and take care of it, which is to say have the City turn off the water to the house, then GORILLA the 96 year old pipes into submission (no easy task), replace the faulty old valve with a new ball valve, city turns the water back on and all is well. Mark was great to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Focus Plumbing for any plumbing needs.

First time calling for someone to do an oven inspection. I left a message and received a prompt response with an appointment scheduled within just a few hours. During this last storm I noticed that there had been a little water in our basement. I immediately thought it was because our sump pump wasn't working properly so I called Steve to see if he could check it to see why it wasn't going on. Steve said he couldn't help with this but referred me to a plumber. However, upon speaking with Steve and explaining the situation Steve explained what he thought happened and in the end I wouldn't need to call a plumber at all. There aren't many contractors who would call you back to explain this knowing that it wouldn't be a sale. You can be sure if I ever have a drain issue Steve is the one I'd call. Woke up at 5 am on a Sunday to find a sink waterline on our main level had broken and portions of our main level and finished basement had standing water. Filed an online claim at 6:30 am and Rainbow International called me by 8:00 am indicating I would see a crew at my home within two hours. Jonathan arrived before 10 am and took the time to explain the process and how they needed to proceed. The Maids are simply fantastic. They are thorough to the utmost, coming in with a checklist and leaving no stone unturned. They don't make any excuses, and will even move things within reason to get to the dust and dirt, and ensure everything is cleaned. They even organize items, papers, toys, etc. and leave you nice surprises like towel animals :). I love that they have a manager/team lead that comes onsite to review the cleaning before signing off on it. We have used them for 9 years now and will continue to do so. Jessica was a dream to work with. She was incredibly communicative and able to fit me into her schedule at the last minute. Great experience with Clare at Seestads. She looked through a lot of carpet for me and with me for our home repair and remodeling project. She helped me pick out the carpet, which looks fantastic in our space. She was responsive to all issues related to measuring and went above and beyond to correct some issues with measuring . Our install person Tom was also great and worked really hard to address some issues that had been missed in the measurement process- He worked extra hard to meet I need to have the space done before the holidays, even though it meant over extending. Great experience - hard to come by these days!

Have a rental property where the carpet was removed and needed to be refinished. It was in rough shape with some permeant damage due to pets. They did a decent job on getting it to the best shape they could. Pricing was straight forward up front and seemed fair. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is there was a miscommunication on getting the stains out. My understanding as they were all going to be removed but they were not and the finish was put over them. It was a little frustrating but there could have been a misunderstanding on my end and after discussing with him I see the pricing could not have reflected that type of work. I needed to do something to satisfy the local rental inspector and this did the job. Besides the stains the floor looks really nice! I would still recommend them for any job.Service: Restoration

Johnson Creek Landscaping was just what I needed! Mick came and assessed my situation (56x22x3 foot retaining wall), came up with a plan and informed me of ways I could save money on the project (usually folks are trying to upsell instead of save their clients money!). When they came to do the project, they were very professional, nice guys. They did a great job and cleaned up at the end of every day. They even swept the street out in front. They cared for my property and at the end, the leveled my lawn (which had been damaged by their equipment) and seeded it and laid hay down. The grass was back in a few weeks! The even seeded my neighbors lawn below their side of my retaining wall (where there was only dirt before) and mulched below the other neighbors (where there has been mulch before). Very happy with Lone Oak. This is my third summer in my house. They installed the system here so I continued with them. They show up on time. When something has needed to be fixed, they've done it reasonably priced. Especially true when the entire back of the system was destroyed by the company who installed my fence.
Edit: Now my 9th summer. Lone Oak has still been great. Turn-on/blow-out prices have increased but still well worth it.
When the city did backflow inspections, I had zero issues. My system had been installed properly and I didn't have to do anything.
This spring, my front zone didn't work when they came to turn on the system. They were back today. I came home to huge holes in my front yard. The roots of the maple tree in the boulevard had pinched off the lines. They bypassed the problem.
As they were finishing, I was shocked that I could barely tell they had been here. (First two photos were the huge holes. Last one was right after they left.)
Bob and the guys at Lone Oak seem to have installed a quality system. And when issues have arisen, not their fault, they have resolved them for me for reasonable prices.
Although my project was small, Southview made me feel like I was a top priority. Excellent service and attention to details. I was given great ideas from my designer and felt comfortable adjusting those plans before the project began and even shortly into it. The project team proved professional and highly skilled! Scott confirmed my White Pines had White Pine Blister Rust and needed to be removed. He also discovered Fire Blight in my Summercrisp Pear tree. He instructed me how to remove canker from another pear and cherry tree. He then very efficiently removed the trees and stumps. He did an excellent job of cleaning up and removing the trees.

All of this while being kept comfortable. Anyone who can handle a mercurial customer like me can handle anyone. It is quite fun to stay on top of my dental ambitions in their care.

I’ve been going to Organic Chiropractic since 2021, and it’s the first place I turn when my back acts up. The care is effective, and Dr. Paul is friendly and knowledgeable. I’ve been treated for sciatica and other flare-ups and always feel better after. So easy to schedule and be seen on short notice, too!
I have seeing Kayla primarily for neck pain. She has explained what I am dealing with and the treatments have helped considerably.
Dr Lutz is amazing! He offers full service chiropractic care. He makes every session individualized and remembers specific details about your concerns. He also helps with physical therapy exercises to make sure that you maintain the adjustment and eventually have to come less and less as your body stays pain free.
Dr. Kou Yang has been great! He's very thorough and ask lots of questions to make sure I'm doing good every visit. If there's any concern, he take his time to address it and explain any questions I may have. I also like the fact that the staff are all friendly and prompt on taking care of me, the customer.

I went in for a consultation and was greeted nicely by the receptionist and Doctor. I had my neck and back cracked and it felt wonderful. So I set up a monthly plan, at my age of 63, I needed this done. I will now exercise more, since I won’t be as stiff. I will go for more treatments until I feel I won’t need anymore.
Dr. Wolff has been fantastic! I have been getting care from the VA for my back for years with no improvement. Dr. Wolff has me feeling 20 years younger. I have not had a bad “episode” with my back or neck since starting with her. It had been a monthly, if not weekly, occurrence before. Very happy!

I've been to chiropractors before and they were your more common "pop & crack" kind which is great but the gentle acupressure that WFC uses is amazingly effective. It barely feels like anything so no added pain after an adjustment but the results are truly amazing! I walked into WFC a few months ago with serious sciatica nerve pain from the osteoarthritis in my right hip, a phantom nerve pain in my left thigh (which my doctor told me last year they didn't know what it was but to come back if it got worse) and vertigo. Within a couple of months all my pains and issues are gone due to the good work of these doctors. I'm on weekly maintenance now as the osteoarthritis is not going anywhere and I'm still grateful. I've even gotten help with the pain in my right hand from osteoarthritis and carpal tunnel in the other. I'm 67 and am active as ever! Thank you Dr. Tye and Dr. Chelsea!

I have a very anxious boy and I was so worried about the vet visit being overwhelming for him, but the vet tech was just as kind and loving with him as I am. It’s rare that I feel like a vet treats my cats as if they’re their own, so I was very thankful. The vet was straightforward and nice as well. If I wasn’t moving out of the state soon, I could see this being the place took my cats to for the rest of their lives.

Not cheap buy worth every cent. I have a big dog and it takes them about two hours to give him a haircut and bath. I can't imagine how long it would be for me without the proper tools or experience. They do a great job and he looks wonderful every time.

One day I hurt my shoulder to the point I was wincing when I put my jacket on. The pain lasted weeks. I went to my Dr. and was told it would go away with time. I decided to try a massage for the first time and found A Caring Touch online. The atmosphere Treece provides is very amazing. The massage wasn't as gentle as I thought, but Treece has such knowledge of the body. When the massage was finished, I felt completely calm and relaxed. The pain in my shoulder was gone! I've been to physical therapy for my back and shoulders before and haven't had results this fast. Treece is very knowledgeable, kind, has a caring touch!

My family physician told me the pain in my shoulder was my rotator cuff. That I need a physical therapy I might need surgery. I saw Ruoff one time, it was a very deep massage that I needed to breathe through.
I have not had pain in my shoulder since that massage. I almost had to give up my career due to the pain in my shoulder. It’s not a fancy place. It’s not a fluffy massage, but he has a way of healing your pain.

Carrie is just absolutely - freaking - awesome. She has a deep knowledge of kinetics and is well aware of how to assist you with muscle - skeletal pain. The person that said she was rude and abrasive...maybe y'all don't know how it be on the East Side.

This was my first massage ever so I didn’t know what to expect, but it was great. I opted for a “tune up” as I’ve had neck pain the past few days and wasn’t sure about a full massage. My experience was extremely relaxing and professional. The room temp and bed were both comfortable and I’m leaving feeling better than when I went in.

Jp is great. She does massage with stretches, and her hands are incredibly strong. Her office/room is comfy and welcoming. I will definitely be booking again.Please know that her building is locked on the weekends, so you will have to wait for her to come get you for your appointment.

Calmness. I go in for menopausal symptoms and a few other issues and it is refreshing to use eastern medicine. They are experts at acupuncture and massage with the use of herbal medicines. Although the tea is a bit tough it creates a whole body calmness that is so wonderful. Each practitioner has extensive experience in both eastern and western medicine.
