I had an appointment with Ed yesterday. The cut and beard trim were, as always, fantastic. I'm very happy with the results. The shop always seems to have a great conversation going on as a backdrop to the experience. Yesterday was no different. I love this place, and I've already scheduled my next appointment.
I cannot recommend Adrianne enough--she is incredible! Her massage expertise and technique means I feel relaxed and rejuvenated after every session. She is a great communicator during the session and has great recommendations for stretches for problem spots between appointments. The space is very clean and organized, and Adrianne has taken pandemic safety very seriously. The parking and public transit options are also great. Overall, just amazing!
The Daily Bloom is a sweet little independent florist tucked away in Arlington Center and very much worth finding. The shop has a comfy, curated country vibe. And Nicole, the owner, is super nice. Her creativity is abundant, and it's been my experience she is great at making the customer part of the process in putting together a bouquet such as the one she made to welcome my partner home after a month of helping care for her mother. I don't know why or how, but the flowers from The Daily Bloom just last waaaaay longer than ones I've purchased elsewhere. Added bonus: the prices are super reasonable. I highly recommend Nicole and The Daily Bloom.
Dan is exceptional at deep tissue massage. He has helped me tremendously with shoulder and back pain. He’s courteous, professional, and provides a tranquil setting. Top notch!

I am an actress and I first met Sonja as a makeup artist for a commercial that we were both working on. I have worked with several makeup artists throughout my career, but within a matter of minutes I knew Sonja was superior. By lunchtime of that work day, I knew I wanted Sonja to do my makeup on my upcoming wedding day. We just clicked and she is such a skilled makeup artist. I booked her shortly after!
Fast forward to my wedding day, and Sonja exceeded all expectations. Sonja and her assistant, Christina, arrived at the venue early and were ready to start makeup a half hour early. We had a total of nine different women that got their makeup done and Sonja managed to keep our makeup schedule ahead of time. Everyone's makeup looked AMAZING. My entire bridal party raved about both Sonja and Christina.
I LOVED my makeup for the wedding day and would recommend Sonja a million times over! Do not hesitate to hire her for your wedding! She will not disappoint!

I found Salon 221 a few months ago and have gotten 2 cuts there so far with Jennifer. She's so kind and friendly, the haircut is a good price and it's honestly the best haircut I've had in 15 years. Highly recommend. Easy to get to. Easy to park.
I had a decent haircut, but I expected a little more from the stylist. They were friendly and did listen to what I wanted, but it felt a bit rushed. Overall, I think I’ll give it one more shot next time.

This place is just the best! Kevin always gives me the best haircuts; and makes for EXCELLENT company. Today, a little kiddo came in with his family, and as it was his 3rd haircut (ever) he was a little scared. The people here did such a great job of showing the little dude haircuts are a fun, safe thing! At the end little dude was smiling to his ears, and laughing with his family and his barber. I have been going to Polished Boston for about a year now and I’ll never look back. Energy is so important to me and the energy here is fun, loving, and hilarious. And of course, they also do amazing work. My nails look fabulous each time whether I’m trying out a design or keeping it simple. I get the structured manicure, and my nails have never been healthier (pics are natural nails). I have also never received as many compliments on my nails as I have since I started going to Polished. I typically see Katie (although I don’t think you can go wrong with anyone there) and she’s so talented and so nice. Shannon is the owner and she’s everything. I have so much love and respect for this place and I’m grateful to be a part of it.

My partner and I were looking for a place last minute to get pedicures and they were able to accommodate us. They were very nice and did a great job! My partner had a bruised nail and the lady working was able to take it off and clean it. I also got a gel manicure and they did a really great job! I will definitely be going back.

I like Wish. I’ve been going for manicures for the last year and they have all been what I asked for. I go every two weeks but if I wanted to, my gel nails could last longer. I just like changing the colour. I’ve had different technicians each time. I can’t say I have a favourit, they all do great work. Appointment times are always exact and the detail on my mani is always on point.
Highly recommend! I found this salon on the DevaCurl website looking for a stylist who could cut curly hair. Anyone with curly hair knows they are hard to find! Maria's been cutting my hair for a couple years now and she's awesome. No more triangle hair for me! She's also done highlights a couple times and they looked AMAZING. Appointments are easy to book using their website. Parking's easy to find on nearby side streets. They recently renovated so everything looks modern. There's coffee and tea, and snacks I think. Definitely recommend!

Today was the first time, the owner Jen cut and styled my hair. I wanted a pixie cut knowing it may not look that great for a round face and the texture of my hair. Jen offered her expertise and explained why a pixie cut would not look good. The final result was beautiful!! I left the salon very happy! ?
After a bleaching mishap at another salon and a week of hat wearing, I booked an appointment with Kerry to correct my color. I was a little nervous since I was a new client and she had to work without knowing anything about my natural hair.…but she spent time going over what I had done previously and what I wanted and she nailed it!! She was able to correct to exactly what I wanted. I will definitely go back for all my future color!
Susan is a fabulous stylist (and person!)… Very experienced and skilled, terrific with color, and above all very caring. She really wants you to walk out looking and feeling your best!
These folks do wonders with all types of hair. I always leave feeling glam, and get compliments on my haircut. Also, Barbara, the owner, is fast and efficient.... and fun. The salon has some later hours, too, which can be really helpful.

I cannot recommend Erin enough! I have received many facials throughout the years and this is definitely one of the best. Since this was my first time coming to Glow, Erin took her time to learn about my skincare needs and current routine. I opted for the lymphatic drainage facial which was incredibly relaxing. My skin feels super moisturized and is glowing. I will be back soon!
From the moment I first stepped into Sedona I knew I was in for a wonderful experience. Meghan gave me a stellar manicure and pedicure - it was one of the best mani-pedi's I've had in a very long time. A day later my feet are still feeling renewed, and each time I catch a glimpse of my nails I feel so chic! Sedona is like a sanctuary - calm, relaxing and cozy. Looking forward to my next visit!

We LOVE Ink Jam! We've been getting tattoos done there for years. Jim the owner has done a few for us and his employees have done a few as well. Recently we went and Izzy did tattoos for me, my son and my husband! All amazing! Can't say enough about their attention to detail, customer service, etc.! We'll definiltey keep going there for our future tattoos as well.
Mina rules! I emailed Mina inquiring about a cover-up that I knew would take alot of work. Everything was easy and straightforward; I provided some reference images and answered some basic questions and we made the appointment. I love what Mina drew up and getting tattooed by her is a great experience. Throughout the process, Mina was communicative and clear about what she envisioned and always asked if I agreed on design and direction of the tattoo. Excellent quality all around and her new shop is a very comfortable environment. I have a good amount of ink, and I can tell you she has a light touch. True tattoo therapy.

I called Hourican after finding water leaking out of my water heater. He was here in 20 minutes, found the problem and gave us a few options. We ended up replacing the water heater and the whole process took only an hour. His crew were good about masks and cleaning up. I've been in the residential and commercial construction industry for almost 30 years, and I wish we had people like Andrew that we could hire for our projects. He's honest, thoughtful, and a really good plumber. I've recommended him to family and he's also doing work at my wife's dental office. My only hesitancy in giving this review is that he'll get too busy and he'll be harder to get when I need him. In all seriousness, he's a rare breed and I highly recommend him.
I had a phenomenal experience with Crescent Plumbing & Drain. I had a water heater in Medford that needed to be replaced immediately. My home warranty company assigned it to Crescent. Their rates were the most competitive that I saw (as I also did my own research for competitive rates). They were available two days later but when I told them it was urgent, they squeezed me in the next morning at 7 am and completed the job the same day. I had a great experience. Elizabeth did a great job communicating with me and keeping me updated. She was very patient and generous with her time and addressed all my questions and concerns. Ken did the work, and while he was replacing the heater, he noticed some other work that required follow up soon and was kind enough to point it out and take pictures for my awareness. I don't usually take the time to do reviews, but I feel compelled to do it now because of the outstanding integrity that this company and its employees have demonstrated. I didn't personally hire lovett for problems with my plumbing; however my daughter just lived through two years of backed up waste clogged pipes, and broken pipes while the property owner of the park refused to take responsibility for paying for the repairs and insisting that my daughter come up with thousands of dollars to fix a mess they insisted was caused by my daughter and her family. I am so impressed with Lovett Inc. plumbing company because even though they are contracted by the manufactured park owners for plumbing issues, they are honest and fair to the homeowner. Thank you David and Greg for being the absolutely honest and fair business owners who finally got my daughter squared away and for finding the root of the problem and fixing it! I recommend this company with no hesitation!
Joe and Bill were extremely helpful in resolving a repair with the electric service drop to my house. They coordinated with the necessary entities to classify the repair appropriately to avoid a significant service fee. They treat your job as if it were theirs.
John and his team are amazing! For a few months now we've been working with Pigott on a large scale solar project at a high rise apartment community. His team is so quiet you don't even know they're there. The guys use our community room for lunch and it has always left clean. John is timely, clear and professional. He really helped us work through the project. Its been super successful and we're thankful for Pigott's diligent work. Highly recommend!
After another local company’s electrician didn’t show up two days in a row, I called and spoke with Phillip. He had an electrician (Alex) to our home within a very short time.
Alex very capably diagnosed the issue as a blown breaker. He did not have that type on his vehicle and had to get the part, with this time being billed. It was explained that electricians cannot carry every part for every home/business. While the cost seemed higher than we expected, I’m not an expert at electrical rates. Alex was highly skilled, the issue was repaired quickly, and we soon had hot water.
The owner, Philip was very courteous and understanding. He went out of his way to take care of my daughters and I. I highly recommend this company.
I can’t say enough, this company is amazing and I have never in my life met a bunch of the sweetest people they take time. They are caring with every little detail. We had the stress of moving and trying to get everything in order and pack and get a moving company and Cleaning and they came in and they took care of everything. My stress level was amazing because of them they clean our new house and I wouldn’t have it any other way!!!!

Throughout the entire process he and his entire team communicated clearly, kept to timelines, and were professional. We are beyond pleased with the final result and our friends are very impressed with the craftsmanship. Without hesitation, we would hire Alpha Construction again.
I have known the Ronayne's since the early 1970s. They are honest, friendly, and hard working. Their work shows a passion for what they do.
Peter, Oliver, and Alan did an amazing job with my condo unit remodeling project that involved bathroom and kitchen remodeling, reconfiguring a closet, full painting of the unit, and floor refinishing. They turned a 1990 condo unit into a brand new modern loft. Peter, the GC, was very communicative throughout the project, even when I was out of town for a week. If I needed something adjusted, Oliver and Alan would make the adjustment very promptly. Peter was transparent about the timeline and quotes, but one thing I’d recommend is having every detail written in the proposal, so you are not surprised with any additional expenses. For example, our proposal included “kitchen cabinet installation and bathroom vanity installation”, but they asked for additional $4K after they installed my IKEA cabinets and vanity. I understand that IKEA cabinet assembly can be a pain, but had I been aware of this cost earlier, I would have hired IKEA assembly and installation team for $2.7K. Nevertheless, their overall pricing was very reasonable, and they are one of the friendliest and most professional teams I’ve worked with. They carried out all tasks beautifully. I would definitely consider working with them again for future projects!
Connelly Contracting did an excellent job with our complete bathroom remodeling. We converted our tub/shower to a walk in shower, replaced the vanity, new electrical, new plumbing, new toilet, new window, new tile floor and new tiling throughout the shower. Their staff is very professional and their subcontractors are excellent. They are neat, always cleaning up at the end of each day. The entire process went smoothly. Their recommended supply team did a great job at guiding us through picking out our plumbing fixtures, vanity, sink, countertops and tiling for the floors and walls. Overall we would highly recommend the Connelly team for your next home project.

He's been helping me with a long-standing shoulder injury and tennis elbow - given me stretches and at-home exercises that have helped relieve the pain and improve what I'm able to do at home and the gym with the shoulder. Good communication with the team, easy scheduling of appointments and followups. I definitely recommend!
They always take great care of me whether I’m in for an alignment or need several treatments they all take care of me.
I started with a lower back and explained that he could help with my shoulder that could lead to surgery and now I my health problems are gone. He is easy to talk with and listens to patients about their problems to work make the patients healthy.
Dr potter is my main doctor for my overall health. I have my primary care and Dr.Potter. They are my team! Dr. Potter works well with other physicians. He will refer you to someone else if he feels it is best. My mother, myself, my husband, my son and now my granddaughter all rely on Dr. Potter! He is kind, understanding, and genuinely cares about you. I once had a pinched nerve in my neck and it wasn’t responding so I went to a surgeon he recommended and the surgeon told me to continue seeing Dr. Potter whole waiting for surgery. And it finally disappears 2 days before the surgery! I could not recommend him any higher. He is wonderful!

I've been going to Mill Brook for the past 5+ years, through all the recent personnel changes, and one thing has always been true- they are caring, thorough, and thoughtful. They are always willing to take the time to answer any questions I might have, and I know they adore my pup and only want what's best for him. During his most recent procedures (which were fairly extensive), I never felt pressured to do more/less than what I thought was necessary after getting all the facts from Dr. P. and Dr. Suzanne. I also find it very helpful that they can do everything at this location- echos, ultrasounds, dental work, etc- it makes it very convenient!
I cannot possibly begin to convey how lovely it is to work with Evan. They’re one of the most intentional, attentive, and attuned providers I’ve ever worked with. I’m no longer in the area, but Evan and their practice will forever hold such a dear place in my heart. They helped me take care of stubborn neck tightness and jaw pain, and always made me feel welcome in their space. Koray is the rare kind of masseur who actually listens. Before we even started, he took time to understand exactly where I was carrying tension and what I needed from the session, and then delivered on it completely. He knows exactly where to apply firm pressure, and weaves in targeted stretches that directly relieved the tension I came in with—distinctly different from a standard routine applied to everyone, and noticeably more effective because of it.
But it's not only the massage itself that stays with you. Koray thinks of details that most people wouldn't even consider: the hot stones, the warm and welcoming environment, the chocolate and water waiting for you at the end. It sounds simple, but it signals that this is someone who genuinely cares about the experience he's creating, not just the service he's delivering.

Dan is exceptional at deep tissue massage. He has helped me tremendously with shoulder and back pain. He’s courteous, professional, and provides a tranquil setting. Top notch!
I’ve been to A LOT of massage therapists, and Erik is the best. He knows the body and I always leave feeling relief. He uses very deep pressure but it feels like he is still working with your muscles, not against them. I feel very lucky to have found him. I began seeing him as he was recommended by a neighbor for prenatal massage, and not I am seeing him still postpartum.

I cannot recommend Adrianne enough--she is incredible! Her massage expertise and technique means I feel relaxed and rejuvenated after every session. She is a great communicator during the session and has great recommendations for stretches for problem spots between appointments. The space is very clean and organized, and Adrianne has taken pandemic safety very seriously. The parking and public transit options are also great. Overall, just amazing!
Very knowledgeable and thorough. I enjoyed the cranial work and even fell asleep. But the deep tissue work was just too much for me. Do not recommend if you are sensitive and need light pressure like me.
Marissa's facials are so relaxing and replenishing. She has a lot of knowledge about how to work with different skin types. Definitely get the 90 minutes so you can truly relax!

I took the Baby & Me Yoga class with Barrett during maternity leave and I loved it! I looked forward to it every week. Barrett is an amazing instructor and she just gets what postpartum bodies need. You also get to meet other moms and babies and everyone gets to roll around on the floor! Highly recommend if you’re in that new-mom phase and looking for a very wholesome experience.

Ruth is the most incredible acupuncturist. In just 2 visits I was feeling pain relief for an injury that I have been living with for over 20 years. I have worked with physical therapists, chiropractors, and other acupuncturists, none of whom could figure out why I had so much pain nor how to reduce it. On top of addressing the pain, working with Ruth has been incredible because she is a great person. It is really enjoyable to come to the sessions and so relaxing.
