When we bought our Lincoln Park condo, we knew the parquet floors were badly damaged by years of water exposure. Our realtors at Chicago Residential Partners recommended Good Wood Flooring & Carpentry but warned us that it's almost impossible to patch parquet floors to match the original. They asked if we wanted to replace the whole floor, which would have been too costly. We said no, do your best, and they did! They replaced about 20 square feet of wood, sanded the discolored areas, and stained the entire floor to match the natural color. You can barely tell the new areas, and it all looks great! Mike Plancon said he was worried, but it came out better than he expected. We can highly recommend Good Wood Flooring. See enclosed photos.

The upstairs rooms were not getting cool enough. The technician checked the system, fixed the airflow issue, and now the whole house feels much better.
Our furnace was making a loud rattling noise and then stop putting out heat. Buddy's AC came by and found a cracked part in the blower assembly. They had it replaced the same visit and the noise is completely gone. House heats up fast now and I'm not worried about it dying on a cold night anymore. Straight forward and no runaround.

Went with the elevated deck build since the house sits up on a slope back there, wasn't really an option to do it any other way. The wicker sectional was our own furniture, not part of the job, but it fits the space better than I expected once it was all set up. Royal Deck put the stairs on the side instead of straight off the back, small change but it opens up way more room underneath for storage.
Amish Cabinet Company and Joe Booth were great for our kitchen remodel. The cabinets are extremely high quality and were installed within the specified timeline. Joe went above and beyond throughout the project, coming to our house multiple times throughout the renovation to remeasure to ensure the cabinets were built perfectly, including adjusting dimensions as needed once we opened up the walls and were able to add a few inches to the room. Joes ideas on cabinet storage solutions also made the final cabinets much more usable for the space.

Nancy was my makeup artist for my wedding (many, many years ago!), my brother’s wedding, and my best friend’s wedding! She is so talented! Nancy knows skin and makeup! She made me and my bridal party absolutely stunning! The make up lasted all night (hottest September Saturday! Sunny, humid, and 90’s) without feeling heavy or cakey!
Fast forward to now, 2025. Nancy continues to take care of my face and the faces of my sons (teens). She is a talented esthetician knowing skin and hair! Nancy works in a relaxing, quiet, comfortable room. It’s spacious and comfortable. Her bed is nice and warm, large and comfortable. Her towels and sheets are soft!
Nancy herself is a fabulous person. She’s warm, sweet, caring, and outgoing. She shares her knowledge and gives tips to do at home that’s realistic! Nancy takes her time, she really loves what she does and I can tell. My facials are complete! I walk out moisturized, smooth, and soft! Let’s not forget relaxed! My brows look amazing, my facial hair taken care of (aka lip fuzzzzzz).
She takes care of my sons also. She extracts all sorts of grossness from them (teen skin) and she’s as gentle with them as possible. She has these squishy balls that they use to help deflect the feelings.
Best part, Nancy communicates all the way with what she’s doing and how my skin is, what the aftercare should be, and how to keep up at home. Seriously - you will absolutely love Nancy Jackson!

I was in a pickle. I had to tend to a serious family health issue at local hospital, yet half of our house was without electricity with Fourth of July holiday the next day. I desperately started searching for electricians. The first one was unable to troubleshoot electrical shortage. I started to panic a bit. Thankfully I came across Greg, Faza Electric. Immediately when I spoke with him on phone, and then met him in person, I could see how he exuded quiet confidence, caring personality and utmost professionalism. Amazingly, he came to our house the morning of the Fourth of July as he had promised knowing our predicament. He methodically narrowed down where the short occurred. We actually had 2 outlets that had compromised wiring. He fixed the issue at an unbelievably fair price point. He is an extremely competent electrician and a great human being. I’m hoping that he or one of his electricians will be available when we encounter a future need. He really made me feel good and holiday weekend was much more enjoyable. Many, many thanks, Greg.

We originally hired him to install a chandelier we bought for the house - He worked very quickly and left no mess, and the result came out beautifully. He has since also fixed a broken light socket in an inaccessible recessed fixture on a vaulted ceiling, and repaired a faulty lightswitch.

We are really happy with Americas Flooring Store and the advice that Anna provided throughout the buying process. The selection seemed overwhelming until Anna explained the differences and helped us identify the best options for our home and budget. After reviewing a few samples in our home, we decided on a high quality Karastan carpet. Ten days later, 1250 sq ft of carpet was installed on the second floor of our home. It is perfect! The total confidence we felt visiting their Arlington Heights showroom and speaking with Anna was confirmed by watching their professional installers at work. Got our hardwoods refinished through RFS after putting it off for years. The old finish was worn down to bare wood in the high traffic spots and I figured it was time. They handled the whole job including moving our furniture out of the rooms before they started. Took about four days total with the drying time between coats. Floors feel smooth underfoot now and the color is a bit warmer than before which we actually prefer.
Helpful staff. Good selection. A couple of the boxes seemed like the manufacturer threw in all the small pieces. But we made it work.
I'm delighted with the work Kevin, Stephanie, Scott and the whole crew did for us! In the spring, they renovated our family room and a half bath, making a custom built-in bookcase that looks like it's original to the house. Now, they've just finished a complete renovation of our kitchen. The quality and their attention to detail is excellent, they're very responsive to any questions or requests, and the job was finished sooner than I anticipated. Highly recommended.

Zachary came to my house to remove three squirrels that had fallen down my fireplace chimney with their nest. He managed to corral all three and put them in cages without harming them. We have been using Puglia for 7-8 seasons now. I can count on them to be at our house every Wednesday morning and that way the lawn is nice and sharp for the weekend. Puglia landscaping does sidewalk and driveway edging on every cut, making my lawn stand out. In fact, two of my Neighboura also hired the company because of the outstanding job they are doing. If you are not into pain. Dr. Wiese should be your Dentist. If you are busy and do not want to have multiple appointments for a crown or tooth replacement etc then Dr Wiese is the dentist for you. He has the best equipment and team to get you in and out in a friendly professional way. I encourage you to call the office and schedule a cleaning or visit.

Whether my appointment is for checkups, cleanings, or urgent care, Dr. Zulawinski's team always fits me into his schedule. For urgent care, he's seen me the same day. For cleanings and checkups, I've not waited more than two weeks at most to be seen. Dr. Zulawinkski is a perfectionist and that's high on my list of criteria for my dentist. I was is rough shape..... working since I was 14 doing manual labor. Experiencing numbness in almost every part of body. I could not even use a screwdriver anymore unless I took 4 advil in the morning. My wife visited Forza Chiropractor in the past and told me to go. Dr Vartan is such a great chiropractor! He is very compassionate, takes time to answer as many questions as I have and is such a kind nice doctor. I came mostly because I saw an ad for soft wave treatments for my knee but then started adjustments too. I used to take lots of ibuprofen and got cortisone shot every 3 mos in my knee but after starting treatments with Dr Vartan, I stopped ibuprofen completely and haven’t had a shot in 6 mos. My knee pain has significantly improved and my neck and back feel better also. Highly recommend !
Dr. Kevin is absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend him. I was experiencing severe vertigo symptoms for months and saw multiple specialists who were unable to help me. Finally I was referred to Dr Kevin who was able to help me on day one. I immediately felt relief of my symptoms. His bedside manner is very professional and personable. I am very happy to have found him and only wish I had found him sooner!

You need to see Dr. O, if you are suffering from TMJ. After just a few adjustments the relief was incredible. On top of the amazing results, the office runs like clockwork—appointments always start on time.
After only 8 sessions I had my first night where I didn’t need my pain medication to help me sleep through the night. I love that this practice doesn’t just sell cracking you back. They include physical therapy along side of it to help you recover and stay recovered.
It takes me about 45 minutes to an hour to get there and back to the clinic. It is worth every minute to go there. The doctor is fantastic. Knows where you hurt and knows what to do. I do the massage therapy. It’s the only thing that helps me stand up straight and release some of the pain. They are fantastic. The whole group the receptionist is so friendly. Try it out

So far we are really happy here. The front desk people are always friendly. The vet techs are always kind to our pets and knowledgeable. We have seen more of Dr. Sheridan in our appointments. I think because he is newer to the practice but I don't believe he's a new vet. He's very knowledgeable. He's also to the point and explains things thoroughly.
Great experience at March so far. I would say their prices are in line for what things cost in Arlington Heights. Nothing is cheap here, but I would say the prices are what I would expect.

As always Dr. Flaska is kind and caring with our Chocolate Lab. She loves him and is very vocal about him coming in to see her. He is always patient and thorough with his exam. He listens to my concerns. We have worked together to get through many bacteria infections. He is clear with instructions and tries different approaches. This is our third Lab we have taken there over the years. The ladies at the front desk have been efficient,, tolerant of a barking nervous pup and when I have been in distress they have been very compassionate.

I can’t say enough good things about the Illinois Back Institute in Arlington Heights . When I first came in, my pain was a 9 out of 10 and I could barely walk. Simple things like getting out of bed, standing for more than a few minutes, or even walking around were extremely difficult.
After following my treatment plan, my pain is gone I’m at 0 pain level. I can now do so much more without worrying about my back holding me back. I’m back to enjoying my daily activities, moving comfortably, and living without constant pain.

When other therapists didn't want to take on my adult son being autistic and non-verbal and it was 'going to be too much work', you did. You challenged him and became his best friend and were there for us when times were tough. You did what was necessary so that you could provide therapy for him while living in Tennessee and I will always appreciate that. Also you realized when he needed more help than you could provide virtually and stepped in to help recommend therapists in our area.

For several years bilateral carpal tunnel was driving me crazy. I had injections, topical OTC medications with little if any short term relief. I found Family Tree on line and conveniently located and decided to give it a try. The office is quiet, comfortable and Michael explained each step. After each weekly treatment the attacks were less frequent and after maybe 5-6 I can happily say NO symptoms at all for several months. I am very pleased and would not hesitate to return if I experience recurrence or different body part pain.
