Starting a skin transformation journey with Tiffany Tobar at Elegant Esthetics (Huntington Beach)
This is my first visit, and instead of waiting until the end, I’m documenting this process from the beginning so people can see real progression over time.
I came in not looking for just a basic facial, but something more results-driven and corrective. After talking with Tiffany, it’s clear she specializes in DMK Enzyme Therapy and paramedical skin revision, which is exactly what I was hoping to find.
What stood out immediately:
• She didn’t rush into a treatment — she assessed my skin first
• Explained the difference between standard facials vs. true corrective treatments like DMK Enzyme Therapy
• Focused on building a long-term plan, not just a one-time service
For this first session, we started with a foundational approach to prepare my skin, with the plan to move into more advanced treatments like DMK Enzyme Therapy and potentially the DMK Full Spectrum treatment as we progress.
The environment is clean, professional, and very intentional — not a “spa experience” in the typical sense, but more of a serious skin treatment setting.

I’ve been going Ikigai for the past year and I’ve seen it grow so much. I’ve been to multiple barbers and I haven’t met anyone that is as skilled as Anthony. He’s very good with the scissors and has taught me so much about my hair and grooming. His customer service skills are outstanding, there’s been so many times where he stayed over or came early for me. He takes the time to understand your style and what’s best for your hair. I feel lucky I found such a great hairstylist to do my highlights. I was looking to find someone local after my regular girl was on maternity leave. I was driving all the way to Pasadena. If you need natural looking blonde highlights, you won’t find anyone better than Erica. I’d give her 10 stars if I could.
Anthony is our go-to barber for my teenager. He's incredibly good at figuring out flattering styles that fit your hair type and your face; he knows that a haircut can make or break your day, and my kid always walks out feeling like a million bucks.
He's also easy to talk to, works fast, and very, very skilled. I'd highly recommend him for any men's haircut.
I’ve been coming to Jason for about 5 years, and even though I live an hour away, I still come at least once a month because he’s that good! He’s always friendly, detail-oriented, and makes sure I get the exact style I want. The prices are reasonable, the service is amazing, and I love that they always offer snacks and coffee. The location is also great — near the beach and shopping area, so it always feels like a fun little self-care day. Plus, parking is super convenient, which is always a huge bonus. Highly recommend!
I've been here twice now. Both times we're excellent. I had never had a Thai Massage before. I thought it was all stretching. It was different here, which I liked. It was a mix of stretching and regular massaging. I recommend trying them out if you're looking for a place.

I have been coming to see Nancy since 2021 and all I can say is WOW! I no longer wanted to get brazilian blowouts due to the harsh chemicals and Nancy used a product called Organic Power to deeply condition & hydrate my hair. The results are very comparable to the brazilian blowout WITHOUT losing volume. The results last almost a year and the cost is cheaper than what I used to pay for a brazilian blowout. My hair looks beautiful, thick, healthy, and best of all, frizz free!
Christina is the most understanding and compassionate person and is a very talented hair dresser. There is absolutely no judgment for my neglect of my hair. Christina is outcome focused and is an amazing problem solver. She always asks how I am before she tackles my hair and always has multiple solutions to my issues. I honestly have learned more from her than any of my prior stylists. My hair is thick, heavy and a mix of textures, and Christina has listened very carefully to my concerns and I am happy to say my hair is the most manageable it has ever been. Add to this the "at home" atmosphere with tea, coffee, cookies, chocolate or even wine and is an amazing hostess to her clients.

Brenda at Man-Up grooming is amazing. I’ve been looking for a great stylist for years and I now look no further. Brenda is fair, considerate, patient, and extremely professional. You can tell right away that she puts much care into her work while being very detail oriented.
The studio space is chill, with a mini fridge full of your choice of beverage. The customer service, quality of haircut, and atmosphere of Man-Up Grooming has me driving hours after moving to another city just to get that fresh cut from Brenda. 10/10

I cannot recommend Kayla enough! I have been going to her for several years now and she is truly a miracle worker, especially when it comes to color. Her talent for blending is next-level — the results are always seamless, natural, and absolutely stunning. I know when my husband notices it’s something else :)
What really sets her apart is her ability to correct the worst hair disasters (I have had a few). I’ve come to her more than once with botched color jobs from other salons, and each time she’s not only fixed the damage, but made my hair look healthier than before. She approaches every appointment with skill, patience, and a true eye for detail.
If you’re looking for someone who can deliver flawless color and actually improve your hair’s condition, I couldn’t recommend Kayla enough.

Alana has been my go-to barber for years—you know you’ve found someone special when you keep coming back that long. She’s friendly, remembers exactly how I like my cuts, and always maintains a clean, welcoming setup. Whenever I’m thinking about switching things up, she offers great advice and makes sure I leave looking my best. She’s also incredibly flexible and has been super accommodating with my last-minute schedule changes every time.
Very affordable, very friendly and very convenient. Stopped in around 12'ish on a Monday and was taken care of immediately. I get clippers (4) on the sides and a little off the top. Also, had her trim my beard and electric razor all for $28 (tip not included). Same service for my long-time barber is $65 and a little bit of a drive. I'll definitely be back and recommend for mens cuts.
I love getting my cuts with Vivian, she is professional and punctual, and gives me timely reminders of our appointments a day before. Always a treat chatting with her during the appointment and she makes me feel valued and appreciated as her client.

I've been coming here for nearly a year. I found them on Groupon while searching for infrared saunas. I love how clean the individual saunas are! It's a huge pet peeve when you see someone else's sweat stains - gross. They give you a cool face towel beforehand, which makes me feel like I'm in a spa. I also like Sam, who works at the front desk. She's so warm and friendly! I'm waiting for the Fourth of July to buy another pack of sauna sessions (hopefully on sale).
I visited Ucatan to get a base tan before a trip to Thailand, hoping to avoid my usual first-week sunburn. It worked perfectly! The facility was consistently clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Since I was a first-timer, I really appreciated how they educated me on the different beds and expected results. I can’t say enough great things about Beach Beauty Bar. I walked in feeling completely hopeless after struggling with deep, painful cystic acne. My acne had gone away for a long time, but then it came back even worse as an adult. I tried everything- it was overwhelming, and I just felt stuck.
But from the start, Beach Beauty Bar helped me come up with a routine that accommodated my active lifestyle. Joyce and Nikki took the time to build my skin routine around my schedule, and they also helped me with detergents, diet, shampoos, conditioners, and even makeup products—helping me choose acne-safe options for all of them.

However during our journey we have learned that curing your skin or hair takes a lot of work and maintenance and that doesn't fit everyone's lifestyle. I seriously can’t recommend Jennifer enough! Iv been neglecting my skin for years through not wearing sunscreen and letting my pregnancy related melasma get out of control. When I got pregnant with my second baby I immediately noticed my melasma showing up again but this time on my forehead. I can't thank DeVinney Plumbing enough, especially Aaron and his team, Joey and Wilson, for their outstanding responsiveness and professionalism. They worked overtime to repair a leaking tub spout, a project that ultimately required replacing an outdated tub spout, shower valve, and shower arm.
One of the challenges was that the only practical access point for the repair—without disturbing the tiled tub enclosure—was through an adjoining closet. Aaron recommended a drywall contractor that DeVinney Plumbing frequently works with and coordinated the scheduling so the drywall and plumbing repairs could be completed on the same day.
Having the entire project finished in a single day was incredibly convenient. Throughout the process, they were transparent, fair, and upfront about pricing, and their workmanship was excellent. We appreciated their expertise, communication, and commitment to customer service. We would not hesitate to use DeVinney Plumbing again and highly recommend them to others.

Rod was great installing a Navien Tankless water heater in our home. He spent time explaining items, nuances, and ensured to consult me before making any final decisions on placement of heater, vent, pipe, etc., which was much appreciated. At time of writing however, be aware, he is a one man crew (for the goof and the bad). The good is that he is very personable and doesn't have any miscommunication errors you may get with a larger crew. The bad, is don't expect things to get done as quickly. Rod made up for these deficits by staying late and being flexible with when he worked.
This company now does new homes and remodels only. They do service some companies like the I Hop and downtown HB restaurants. They are much in demand in Corona Del Mar and Newport Beach and have grown to 8 trucks and 10 employees. No more service calls to homes, good reputation fair prices and great work. The city of HB building inspector is on a first name basis and has cleared most of the projects before he even inspects them. Great group of plumbers
My home warranty company sent a different plumbing company out to locate my leak and determine the solution. I didn't have confidence that they were knowledgeable and so I contacted the Leak Locator for a second opinion. Cory replied immediately and Kenny came out within 1.5 hrs. My slab leak location was particularly difficult to locate but Corey and Kenny worked together, using their specialized equipment, until they were sure that they had identified the source (which was different than what the first plumbing company diagnosed). Kenny came out the next day to install new piping to bypass the slab leak. Kenny was meticulous in his work and thoroughly tested the new set up to ensure that it was leak-free. I'm so glad that I chose them as they are definitely experts in leak detection. They are also very customer-oriented, professional and courteous. Highly recommend them!
Dan quickly troubleshot and fixed our circuit failure. He worked fast with minimal disruption, kept everything clean, and had a great attitude. Excellent service all around. 5 stars! Would definitely call again and highly recommend them.

I’m a little late in leaving my review since I finally got settled into moving.
After interviewing and getting quotes from different companies, I settled with All City Electric. Other companies either told me what I wanted wasn’t doable or flaked on the scheduled appointment.
I told Jody I needed a Tesla Wall Mounted into the garage. it was a complicated process because of old panels but the work around was to make a sub panel dedicated to the EV Charger.
I asked if he can slide me in his busy schedule rather than waiting a week. He asked why I was in a hurry to get it done and I told him “I HATE CHARGING AT SUPER CHARGERS and I’m off on Thursday” …. Needless to say, Jody slid me in his schedule 2 days later instead on Thursday and got the job done in under an hour.

we needed outdoor lighting installation at our home in garden grove because the backyard was too dark at night. electricians service express installed motion sensor lights & placed fixtures around key areas. one light needed adjustment after installation, but they returned quickly & fixed it. the space now looks great & feels much safer. Overall, a good experience.
Had them install a new electrical panel and overall it was a really good experience. Pricing came in fair compared to a couple other quotes I got, and they stuck to it... no surprises.
Work itself looks solid. Everything is clean and organized, not sloppy, and you can tell they know what they’re doing.
What I appreciated most was they didn’t just do the job and leave. They pointed out a few other things around the house, explained what actually matters vs what doesn’t, and didn’t try to push extra work. That’s pretty rare.

We just acquired a very outdated home and I'm all for supporting locals, so I've called up Jeremy and he came over that same afternoon and already pre-warned me about certain stains and wear and tear - well the day came to clean the carpets and he told me .. The carpet is tired .. HAHAHA I've never heard that before and I love it!!!
Anyway, the stains, that were super dark, are now lighter, so we're thinking the previous owner must've spilled something or left maybe cleaning rags on the floor, because it's not just one spot, it's all over a few rooms in the house?!

We had a fantastic experience with Shorebreak Construction. That is not my usual experience with contractors. I had expected the usual delays and excuses that I had gotten from every other contractor I have ever used in multiple renovations. Chris and his team showed up when he said they would.They had the right tools and materials. They worked so efficiently that the job was done much quicker that I had expected. Chris is such a great manager that things just ran smoothly. I could not be happier and everything looks great. Here is what they did: installation of crown molding in family room, entry and living room, renovation of guest bathroom which included tile, resurfacing walls, replacing plumbing, installation of cabinetry and sink, painting, new door, upgrade all electrical for safety reasons. I had a great experience with KLC roofing. We had a complicated roof leak and our previous roofer dropped the ball and messed up the repair. So I called a few other roofers to come and bid on the project. Kenny Jr came out and quickly detected the issue and gave me a detailed project plan. I decided to go with KLC mostly because I found Kenny to be very reliable and knowledgeable. Him and his team worked with me through this complicated project that involved some wood repair by them, re-stuccoing by my contractor, and them coming back to finish and seal the roof. I had a lot of anxiety about the project but Kenny's diligence amd collaborative spirit made it all go so smoothly. The office (Elsa) is also great and very flexible, making sure that the project works well with my schedule.
After the repair was done, we did some water test, but saw some water inside. Kenny came back to inspect and found that its not the roof leaking, but the chimney wall, which he fixed right then and there. We water tested again and no leak :)
I have worked with a lot of contractors, but KLC is definitely top tier in terms of reliability, attention to details, flexibility, and diligence. I wish everyone was like them, but unfortunately thats far from truth.

We have been using Seashore for annual inspections for years now, and so when they told me it was time to tent, I believed and trusted them (every 8-12 years if you live in SoCal and for us it was 14).
Brian and Molly are both terrific to work with, and I'm happy to say the work is completed and we have checked this important item off our list.
One warning if you are going to tent...if you had a pre-existing ant problem then you can expect it to get worse after fumigation. The reason for that is the ants are underground and survive the fumigation, but then come up to feast on the dead termites. I see this as "nature's cleanup crew", so am going to let them do their thing for awhile, but the best news is that Seashore was willing to work with us on this minor problem that is proof enough for me that they are a standup organization.

Excellent response time. The technician came by and set up two traps on the day I called them to report the raccoon in our yard. The raccoon was trapped for 5 days. A few hours after we phoned, he arrived and removed it. I'll totally trust them with any jobs involving the eviction of wildlife.

Dr. B is great! He really goes in depth and takes a good look at your X-rays. I've only seen him a few times and I'm already feeling better. The biggest difference was my ankle. I broke it a year and half ago and it still feels sore sometimes. After seeing Dr. B my ankle felt much better! Of course I'm not at 100% but I feel like I will be after I complete all my sessions. I will come back here at the end of my treatment to update my review, but so far so good! I'm definitely seeing an improvement.

The best! So friendly. So knowledgeable. So accommodating. So helpful! I've been suffering from shoulder pain for 9 months. I'd rate the pain at a 6-7 out if 10. Most days it makes me want to cry. I've been to an Ortho and done cortisone shots. It has not helped. Dr. Malek diagnosed me better than the orthopedic dr. in 1 minute. I've done a laser treatment with her 2 times now and my pain has decreased to a 3/10. My mobility is so much better as well. I'm so happy with her. She's just a wonderful person to top it off. Her office staff is the best as well. I can't say enough good things about this office. They also offer several other services. Don't hesitate to try this business.

Went to Dr. Kim for the first time for a vaccination for my dog. I had noticed a few days before she was not eating as much. Dr. Kim examined her and found she had a heart problem. He quickly performed a procedure on her and gave us a drug regimen. The next day my 13-year-old dog acted like she was 6 years younger. I am very pleased with my experience with Dr. Kim.

We brought two dogs to Qualified Pet Dental. One dog was 12 And the other one was 13. Everyone that dealt with us was friendly, polite, and professional. Unfortunately, both of our dogs were not willing participants for this procedure. The staff tried to comfort our dogs, but it was not going to happen. One of our dogs had a history of seizures. Because of our dogs ages, the staff thought it was best to forgo the cleanings. I was expecting to be charged, because we had appointments. However, we were told there would be no charge.
Dr. Ally is fabulous! I have been bringing my 2 Frenchies here for many years for vaccines, bee stings, ear infections, leg injuries, and skin issues. I appreciate that Dr Ally gives me several treatment options, when applicable, because sometimes starting conservative does the trick without having to order expensive blood work, X-rays, etc. Being open 7 days a week is a blessing for those that work full time.
We love AAA Animal Hospital!!! We have used AAA for both or our dogs, past and present. Dr. John was very professional and kind. We highly recommend AAA. Kora (our dog) agrees.

We have a Black Lab/Malamute and her nails are black which makes it difficult to know how far to cut, but they made it clear that they know what they are doing and my dog was done with a trim in just a few minutes. I've taken several Hot Sculpt classes with Liza C. and I honestly always look forward to her sessions. Her class is definitely challenging, but in the best way possible. The movements may look simple, but you really feel every muscle working and it gives such a great full-body workout.
I also love that the class is welcoming for all levels, even beginners. Liza does a great job guiding everyone through the workout while still keeping the energy high and motivating. The heated room adds an extra challenge, but somehow you leave feeling refreshed, stronger, and accomplished afterward.
Her classes always have a good balance of warm-up, strengthening exercises, and stretching at the end, so you walk out feeling like you truly worked your whole body. If you want a low-impact workout that still makes you sweat and feel amazing after, I highly recommend taking her class. I also really enjoy classes with Frank S. and LaVerne -- all of them bring great energy and make the workouts enjoyable while still pushing you to do your best. Bren has been working on my post surgical knee after having a full replacement knee surgery. Bren used Lymphatic drainage massage which greatly reduced the swelling, and moved excess fluid away from my swollen knee. I felt better after each session with her. Initially, I had 3 sessions, and after feeling so much better, I purchased 6 more sessions with her. I am feeling better and able to do my physical therapy exercise with less swelling and pain because of the treatments. Bottom line, Bren is awesome.

Last month I did the back facial, which was awesome and this month I did the Dermaplaning both with Corene. Ladies, don’t miss out on this treatment. It is exceptional. I don’t know why I waited so long to try this. I suppose I thought it was something different than it actually was. The quickest and most precise exfoliation ever and the upside is the peach fuzz is removed. Because of the fine instrument that’s involved the hair does not come back thicker or crazier. For me the results actually lasted longer compared to using a razor and with less ingrown hair issues. Cosmetics go on flawlessly. You’re welcome!

The therapists at Orthopaedic Spine Care and Change Physical Therapy are EXCELLENT!!! They are pleasant , caring, skilled and interested in helping you achieve success in your rehabilitation. They inquire about your goals and level of activity you would like to reach and then gear exercises to help you improve in attaining that goal. I’ve been impressed that each session builds upon the previous ones so you’re not repeating things and are being constantly challenged.
They also offer water therapy where you perform exercises on a treadmill in a warmed water tank.
It has been a pleasurable and encouraging experience. I look forward to each session in my journey back to rehabilitation.

If you have a hand issue, you may or probably have a forearm issue from it being over worked as well. They take care of the parts that need taking care of and they actually listen to the client. Other Physical Therapy businesses limit the therapy strictly to the injured body parts. I’ve had very bad experiences at several other PT places and was told that because of the type of hand issue that it would never get better… EXCEPT, I was actually making great progress. They admitted I was making improvements but decided to completely cut me off from more than half the PT session I was allowed to!
I highly recommend CoastTherapy and you WILL get the best care there!
i’m only here, because google thinks i know something about this place just playing at the pokemon go gym here so here’s a rumor i picked up at their gym: the nurse’s aide(s) that work here perform reconstructive surgeries here and from home walking on the backs of others with football cleat(s).
I just want to say I am so thankful for Dr Jimi. I was suffering from nightly panic attacks, I was miserable and my medication wasn’t working. I was desperate to find something that worked that wasn’t pills. I went to her with no expectations and I ended up feeling soo much better. She took the time to talk to me to find out the root of my stress and anxiety. She’s so personable and you can tell she’s very passionate about healing. I can finally sleep with out panic attacks. I am a true believer in acupuncture and acupressure now, and highly recommended going, especially if you suffer from panic and anxiety.
This place is magic! This was my last chance to get some relief from a herniated disc, or surgery was going to be scheduled. My pain is 100% gone after attending 5 sessions!! My insurance covers it for a reason and that is because it works. I can’t rave enough about this place and the amazing relief I feel from chronic neck pain.
I had my first ever Acupuncture Facial with Londa and it was amazing! Didn't know I was missing this in my life. We did a full medical history intake before the treatment and then we worked together to come up with some nutrition and lifestyle changes I felt good about doing that will help with my anxiety (didn't even know we could address this during a facial!). Londa is incredibly knowledgeable, took time to explain everything to me and gave the most heavenly facial massage. I left feeling like I didn't have a worry in the world and my skin looked so fresh and glowing. I can't wait for my next one!
I feel reassured because the doctor always explains things kindly and listens to me carefully. He also provides thorough treatment, which puts me at ease every time I visit. This is a Korean medicine clinic I can trust.
Dr. Mei and Dr. Peter are wonderful and caring people and really do a great job identifying the cause of my neck and shoulder pain. I feel so much better after seeing them this year. Highly recommended!

I started to see Rumiko after going to physical therapy for tendinitis in my right hand. On the first visit, Rumiko took her time with me, asked me pertinent questions, and managed to find the tender points. She then reassured me that the needles would not be painful.After the first visits, I felt a noticeable improvement in my hand dexterity and right arm tightness.A great, professional therapist that really takes her time to learn about what's wrong and apply the proper acupuncture.prescription. Daniel Salas, we’ve had three lessons together and ive felt very confident going into the driving license exam. He was very detailed in explanations and constantly constructing me to do things I kept missing no matter how small. Daniel also made me feel very confident in my own skills as he allowed me to drive without being nervous or scared and was just a great instructor to be with. I would highly recommend Daniel if looking for a picture perfect score on the driving exam! I highly endorse this academy 10/10!
