Even with absolutely nothing plugged into the master bedroom, the corresponding safety switch in our basement would click off the second we flipped it back on. The tech systematically tested the hidden run and located a spot where a drywall screw had pierced the jacket of the wire behind the baseboard. He cut out the damaged section and safely spliced in a fresh run. Amazing attention to detail.
