The place is tranquil, peaceful, very clean and welcoming. The massage room itself is very calm, comfortable with soft music. After massage, you are treated a small pot of Ginger honey tea, and Thai crepe cookies. What a wonderful massage spa! All masseuse are skillful and all my tension is gone.“

110 E 23rd St 2nd Floor, New York“I completed the 200hr teacher training this spring, and it was an incredibly valuable experience.
Kacper is a very knowledgeable and supportive teacher. Although English is my second language, he was always patient, encouraged questions, and made sure everyone was keeping up.
The training covered yoga philosophy, anatomy, and safe teaching in a way that was easy to understand. One of the things I appreciated most was the strong emphasis on creating classes that are both physically and emotionally safe. We learned how to work with students who have pain or injuries and how to offer hands-on adjustments in a way that helps students feel safe and respected.
I also have to mention the amazing community. Kacper and everyone I met here were kind, caring, and brought such positive energy.
I’m truly grateful for this experience and would highly recommend this training!“

7AM - 10PM
12 St Marks Pl, New York“On the fence between a 3 and 4. I went here for a Pilates class, which is obviously less of a focus for the yoga studio. I liked the evident instructor knowledge, cueing and well rehearsed routine, solid technique with focus on breathing, that the instructor actually demoed the movements, generally good use of props, and the quiet environment of exposed brick walls. I wasn’t a fan of how softly the instructor spoke because it was at times hard to hear, 15 min. late policy felt a bit disruptive, minimal to no corrections, dirtiness of mirrors, simultaneous open windows with humidity and running A/C, same weight balls with different sizes, the massive towel to use as sliders that sometimes seemed to reduce sliding because it was so thick, clean up procedure of old sponges and spray, and ambiguity around which props to wipe down; most people didn’t wipe down props.“

145 Grand St, New York“Mirelle is truly one of a kind, both as a person and as a professional. She brings so much gentleness, intention, and care to her work, and her expertise is evident in every aspect of the experience. I always leave feeling deeply cared for and in the best hands. I feel incredibly lucky to have found her and couldn't recommend her more highly. Thank you always, mirelle!!“

1715 1st Ave, New York“Good pilates classes with various options and flexibility with timing and small classes and teachers are very kind and explain well. (6am classes, 7am on week ends and 8pm classes)
Only drawback is you can only sign up on the day (or after) of your membership renewal for upcoming classes which means lots of classes you want are full so you have to be flexible.“

30 E 60th St Ste 206, New York“I’ve visited numerous popular physical therapy clinics in NYC —for everything from back and knee injuries to arthritis. But working with Central Park Physical Therapy (30 E 60th) has been, by far, the most healing and empowering experience I’ve had.
They have all the advanced equipment you’d expect, but the real differentiator is the one-on-one, personalized sessions. You’re not passed off to assistants or put on autopilot machines. You get real care, real time, every time.
My therapist is Rik Misiura , a former competitive triathlete who once led one of New York’s largest physical therapy organizations, treating athletes, dancers, and movie stars alike. These days, he works more exclusively, bringing his mastery to clients who are serious about getting better.
Rik brings an incredible range of approaches to each session, from Pilates-based movement, resistance training, and soft tissue release to breathwork and sound therapy. Every session is different because he actually listens to what your body needs that day. Somehow, he always gets it exactly right.
He also has a few secret techniques - a fusion of Eastern and Western methods - that will quite literally knock your socks off. You’ll walk in stiff or hurting, and leave grounded, realigned, painless and feeling great.
There’s something amazing about the breathwork he incorporates too, subtle but powerful, often unlocking deeper patterns in the nervous system. And at the end of each session, he offers optional sound healing: a moment of quiet integration that feels like a full reset.
His presence is calm, focused, and deeply attuned and he also has a great sense of humor, which makes the sessions not just healing but genuinely enjoyable. It’s rare to find a group with such deep expertise and genuine compassion, and I highly recommend Rik and Central Park PT. They even make house calls if you need them. If you’re looking for someone who can help you feel better, move better, and reconnect with your body on every level, I can’t recommend Central Park PT highly enough.“
“Booked a Sculpt class with Alex while visiting NYC from the UK; brilliant experience! I went in a bit nervous but Alex couldn’t have been more welcoming and encouraging. The class was challenging (in a good way!) but more than manageable with lots of options for easier / tougher moves. Insanely sweaty but brilliant. 😊
Thank you Alex!“
“Visiting from a very small studio in rural New Hampshire, I was nervous about finding the right place to practice here in the big city. It's intimidating, wandering into a new studio, not knowing a soul, wondering if I could keep up. But in finding Yogamaya, all that trepidation was gone.
Yogamaya is an oasis in NYC. From the warmth of the antique wooden doors which frame the space to the community of dedicated yogis inside, this is a studio where one can find real peace while practicing.
L2 classes are faster paced, but the flows are rhythmic. The instructors are obviously accomplished, and they encourage and guide appropriately. Dressing rooms, bathrooms and studios are all immaculate, and everyone--staff and yogis alike--were very welcoming.
I wish I could in NYC stay longer.“
7AM - 7:30PM
1164 3rd Ave, New York“Best boutique fitness studio in this neighborhood - highly recommend! Convenient location, easy registration and check-in, modern interior decor with beautiful natural light flooding the studio, high-end finishes and most importantly: an all-star crew of instructors and staff! This studio offers a perfectly balanced curriculum and the members can choose from a variety of barre, dance/cardio and yoga classes throughout the day. Great little hidden gem in the UES! I started trying it out with their first-timer promotion for two weeks and have been addicted ever since! As a hardcore barre practitioner, I’ve frequented all major studios all over Manhattan and this one definitely tops my list! You’ll be noticeably lighter, leaner and stronger after just a couple of classes - amazing results!“

545 8th Ave #1540, New York“TSY’s 200 hour training is so worth it I can’t even exactly put it in words. The amount of thought and intention put into every minute of the training is incredible, and you will come out of it an extremely well rounded and thoroughly trained teacher. If you have the chance to take it, don’t hesitate.“
“I've never mouthed all the lyrics to a Cranberries song while straight-burning out my abs while also having a heartfelt coming home to myself in my body all at once during a workout but there's a first for everything. The Class is amazing. I knew it would be. Yay“
6AM - 9PM
DuMont Building, 515 Madison Ave 5th Floor, New York“I went from casually running 2 miles twice a week—with a 5K being my longest race—to completing the NYC Marathon in just seven months. In March 2025, I committed to running the marathon while fundraising for Red Door Community, a nonprofit cancer support organization. Knowing I needed expert guidance, I reached out to Sara Dimmick of Physical Equilibrium and signed up for her online coaching program, with a few in-person sessions at her clean, bright, and welcoming gym.
Sara crafted a personalized training plan that went far beyond running—it included cross-training, core work, and strength training, all tailored to my needs and schedule. Her approach was balanced, effective, and encouraging. I could feel myself getting stronger week by week, and the progress was evident.
Crossing the finish line of the NYC Marathon was one of the most incredible accomplishments of my life, and I truly credit Sara’s coaching and support for helping me get there.“

“I booked a TMJ treatment with Delaney and she was wonderful! Her communication throughout the process was excellent, from our initial consultation to the aftercare. The massage itself was great; I felt relief from my jaw tension and pain for the first time in months! I will definitely be back.“
