For yoga in Manhattan, you cannot do better than Souk. The studio itself is beautiful and welcoming, and classes are excellent across the board. If you want to be challenged, you can find that at Souk. If you need to unwind, get grounded--you can find that there, too. And I cannot say enough about the teachers and the community. They have built something really special.
I dropped in here for Jivamukti Open class with my friend while traveling. I loved the studio, instructor, positive and inclusive vibe, and excellent class! I definitely recommend this yoga studio to anyone.
SOUK is a truly unique and wonderful studio with professional teachers in a variety of styles. This is a place where you'll learn yoga philosophy, ethics, and history in addition to asana practices and leave better prepared to integrate these teachings into life outside of the studio. The teachers truly embody and teach the ethos of yoga in ways that are relevant and helpful in our modern times, and their leadership brings together an international community of practitioners who are supportive, kind, and energetic. Whether you are new to yoga or have an established practice, SOUK has much to offer.
