Travis & Sons Plumbing was the most honest, hard working, and easy to talk to team i have ever worked with. They really understood the situation i was in and helped get all of my plumbing needs taken care of. It turned into a major sewer and drain job, with almost the whole sewer line in my house needing to be repiped, but they handled it with real care and skill. Even when they found that more plumbing work was needed than first expected, they still stayed with the original price they quoted, which meant a lot to me. roman and cory worked hard, explained the process clearly, and made sure everything was done right. I took a custom jacket I bought as a Christmas present for my son in for cleaning and they recognized it needed extra care to ensure it was dry cleaned without harming an attached ornament. I appreciate the attention to detail they displayed in their recognition that the ornament needed to be removed prior to cleaning, and reattached after cleaning. Sure, it costs a little extra to do that, but that price is nothing compared to what i paid for that jacket and also the peace of mind in knowing his jacket will be returned dry cleaned and without damage from the cleaning process. These guys are awesome and I highly recommend them!
Visiting Angels saved my life. As my husband's medical issues worsened, I used Visiting Angels to help me take care of him and to help me take care of myself. They always worked with me to adjust schedules; provide someone on short notice, if necessary; and checked on us to make sure our needs were met. I used Visiting Angel's for more than a year. The front office was incredible for helping me when i needed it. A special shout-out to Kathy Strauss, to Trisha (whose last name I never knew) and the other Kathy in the office. I called around for a solid week trying to find someone to help me out to get my windows tinted and do a quality job as well. Unfortunately for me I have a 7-10 schedule and don’t get much time off. I mentioned coming in a few days to knock the car out and they preferred to do it in one day. So they stayed a couple hours late after closing time to accommodate my schedule and for that I’m extremely grateful and the car came out amazing. Definitely recommend and will bring anyone I know who needs work done to their car here.

Scared to have my hair cut, as the last few times have left me in the care of women who'd chop off 10 inches (over a foot at one point) of my hair, instead of the trim or 4 inches i'd ask for. This was such a positive experience for me that i booked an appointment for my daughter as well! I got the simple long layers i asked for since i didnt want the length gone, but i needed more volume & was tired of long flat hair that i could only throw in a bun or a clip. I needed something different but not drastic & i my needs were met! I appreciate being seen by someone who didnt try to take my hair from just above my waist to my shoulder blades again & was patient w/ my nervousness. Finding ppl who actually know what they're doing is a big deal. Im SO glad i came in!

TJ simply knows his craft, and shows his passion for it. First time sitting down for a cut with him and it felt like I was in excellent hands from the start. Understood what I wanted even when I really didn't, haircuts have not always been the top of the list for me since I'm in a ball cap or hard hat most times but I am rocking a cut that feels like me and I'm showing it off. Not often I do that, and even better he and Adam really have a comfortable setting that feels like a real barber shop. I'm sold, looking forward to doing business with these solid gentlement for some time.

I took the advice of my friend and made an appointment at New Image Salon for a nail fill. I by chance got Heidi as my manicurist. I’m not gonna lie, the appointment took quite a while( hence the 4 stars) but I was patient hoping that the results would be amazing. And they were! Heidi is professional and knows what she’s doing. I love this place! I see Malyn for my hair cuts and color and she nails it every time. Actually, to be totally honest, in my 33 years its the best hair cuts that I've ever consistently gotten. The vibe is really casual/relaxed/friendly, while still being clean and of high quality. They have a nail lady who does really cute designs (I haven't had her services yet but I plan to)! I'm from a big city and have been to all sorts of salons that feel overly boogie, expensive, and impersonal. This place feels like your mama's salon and its awesome.

I originally came in for get my nails re-done but also asked if I could get my undercut buzzed as it was getting too long for me. The owner/ hairstylist squeezed me in very quickly in between her already booked client. I really like the environment and how cozy it feels. Was also offered drinks, snacks, and adult beverages. Best kept secret in the Carson Valley! Melissa has been coloring and cutting my hair for 3 years. I was referred to her by another salon who didn't have availability. I'm used to driving to Truckee and paying for high end salons. I needed to find someone closer but it was one disaster after the next. Well I hit the jack pot when I found this place! The salon wasn't near as fancy but the service has always been as good as it gets. Melissa used to work at a high end salon in Union Square in SF. She was trained by the best. Prices very reasonable too!

I went to the Brow Bar today and unfortunately my eyebrow technician was 15 minutes late to the appointment because another client had run late. While I would have appreciated a call letting me know in advance that the appointment would be later than expected, the employees were all very kind and Taylor did an amazing job with my eyebrows and my sister's. The wax she used was also gentle and painless, and she helped us sample Benefit skincare products as well. Also, she was so quick that we weren't even late for the obligation we had afterwards--despite the late start to the appointment. Will be going back!

I received a tattoo from Sean on August 1. First, I want to say how clean and professional the studio is. They have look books on the counter, they are all little out of date, according to the artist who was greeting customers. However, she pulled out her phone and showed examples of all the artists' work. She was awesome and helped me pick the right artist for me, even if it wasn't her.
When I came in last year, she directed me to Sean, as he had both an opening and the skill to complete my idea. So, Sean gave me a tattoo last year, and when I got the hankering again, I came directly back to Black Harbor and Sean.
When my first idea was WAY too complicated, he worked with me to create something extraordinary. He was quick and meticulous. My girl is so, so, beautiful and I get compliments EVERY DAY!
I live in Sacramento and I will always come back to this studio to get more art. I even dragged me husband here because I was tired of him bitching about wanting more ink. He's got an appointment with Shane, another incredible artist working here. I could not recommend getting a tattoo anywhere else more after my experience here.

Briggs is the best in Northern Nevada. They are punctual and efficient. They do exactly what they say they are going to do, and charge a fair price.
I contacted Lakeview Electric for a quote on installing a Tesla Wall Connector. They were extremely prompt in getting me a quote, very professional in setting up the appointment at a time that was convenient for me and provided me installation options. Other local electricians charged much more and were not prompt in providing quotes or responses.
The installers were very professional and efficient and did a phenomenal job with the install of the Wall Connector. I highly recommend Lakeview Electric!!

Stephen was a technician at the business and now owns it. He worked for a solid five hours doing my two 7 ft. couches, my carpet, and grout cleaning in the master bath. The job was excellent, except the grout on the floor and in the shower were darker than I expected and I informed Stephen. Without hesitation, he returned and spent two hrs., explaining that he stands behind his products/business. He is an incredibly hard worker and true to his word.

Larry installed heated flooring in my house. It was a good investment in my home and I'm happy to refer Larry to everyone that wants flooring improvement at their home or office.
Put in a new granite counter. Astounding job! Backsplash MATCHES the counter pattern and there are NO SEAMS even though it is U shaped with a sink cutout. Waited months for cabinets, no problem, they held the granite and were out the day the cabinets were in, measuring and few days later a perfect install. Recommended highly.
Construction projects in Lake Tahoe are not the easiest for many reasons, but DG Hand turned out to be an excellent contractor for me and my project. I added a bathroom and refreshed 3 other bathrooms as well as updated other aspects of the house. Doctor Ton and his assistants were helpful and extremely kind at helping my girlfriend get her teeth seen after 14 years of her never seeing a dentist. The office is cozy and they let her put anything she wanted onto the Roku TV. He even squeezed a much needed cleaning into her first time exam without making us have to schedule a separate appointment. Considering this is a somewhat new dental practice, this is definitely the best in town.

I first went to see Dr Park for an infected tooth that needed to be extracted. I was so nervous as going to the dentist was always a fear of mine. Even tho I was a pain through that first extraction, Dr Park worked with me the whole way! I can’t say enough good things about this place. I ended up establishing & my anxiety of going has significantly gone down thanks to Dr Park & her team!

Dr. Klein is truly one of a kind! I had a chipped tooth and he fixed it perfectly, you can’t even tell it was ever chipped. I also went in for a cleaning, and while every other office tried to push me into an unnecessary (and very expensive) root scaling, Dr. Klein took the time to do a regular cleaning himself. It was the first time I’ve ever had a dentist not a hygienist or assistant personally clean my teeth, and the difference was amazing. He is so thorough, gentle, and detail-oriented, and it’s clear he genuinely cares about his patients’ health and comfort.
Most dentists make you feel like just another number, but Dr. Klein makes you feel like family. He takes pride in his work and it shows in the results. My teeth have never felt this clean, and I left the office smiling bigger than ever. I’m so thankful I found him and will never go anywhere else!
All of my interactions with Doc Graber have been positive. During my Dental procedures it is readily apparent that he thoroughly enjoys being a Dentist. He has helped me with immediate needs and preventative care. The support staff in the office are also a pleasure to deal with, you can’t go no better!

Dr Ediss has been my chiropractor for years, he listens and takes the time to get to know his clients. I experienced a certain pain, went to my primary where they did test after test and couldn’t figure it out, next trip was to Dr Ediss and before I left his office the pain was gone!

Rarely is the name of a business as accurate as this. Dr. Corbett does operate the absolute best chiropractic office I have ever visited.
I’ve seen about 5 over the years, and each them always asked, what’s bothering me. Dr. Corbett got me into the table and began working. He found every issue I had gone in there for without asking me what was troubling me, but did ask when he was done if there was anywhere else that needed attention, though he got it all. I had gone to a massage therapist for my neck, shoulder, and back, and she did wonders, though it was not long lasting relief. I have been seeing Dr. Corbett regularly since the first appointment and none of those initial issues have come back.
I’m very thankful for all he’s done to help me!

Once again, I am back to see one of my favorite doctors, Dr. Alan Tack. I have been a patient of Dr. Tack since moving to Northern Nevada. I had difficulty finding a dermatologist specializing in Mohs Surgery that would take my health insurance. My insurance company was the one that referred me to Dr. Tack. I wasn't expecting an insurance company's referral to be spot on. I couldn't be happier with the care given to me by Dr. Tack. Not only does he take his time explaining any concerns/procedures, but his surgical skills are impeccable. I have had 3 procedures done by him. The first two had little scarring, the third was just done yesterday. I'm confident the last procedure's scarring will be minimal based on past procedures. I encourage all family and friends to see a dermatologist annually and if you live in the Carson City/Reno/Tahoe/Sparks area make an appointment at Carson Dermatology/Dr. Tack.
Dr. Rowe and his nurse Lynn are the absolute best at what they do. He doesn’t give up and will continue working until he gets all of the cancer out when he does your MOH surgery. He listens and is wonderful and once you heal you can’t see the scars. They are a great team and I will only go to Dr. Rowe when it comes to the MOH procedure. A+ always!
I had a great experience at Skin Cancer & Dermatology Institute in Carson City. Dr. Michael Zumwalt performed my surgery, and he was outstanding. He was friendly, professional, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire procedure. We had an interesting conversation the whole time, which really helped put me at ease.
The nurses and staff were excellent—kind, caring, and efficient. The wait time was short, and I found the pricing to be very reasonable.
What also stood out to me was that Dr. Zumwalt is knowledgeable about history, current events, and what's going on in the world. It made for an enjoyable conversation, and I appreciated how personable he was.
Overall, I highly recommend Skin Cancer & Dermatology Institute to anyone looking for high-quality dermatology or skin cancer treatment. They provide excellent care in a friendly, welcoming environment.
Our experience was really great. Penny definitely has nervousness around vets and men, and Dr Pulver was fantastic with her. I really appreciated the time and effort spent with my nervous little punk. I have great confidence having Timberline as our lifelong vet because of this experience.
**Update** we are in year 2 of my very worried dog visiting Timberline for her check ups and everyone is so kind and considerate with Penny and her Big Worries. They have found a way for us to get her in the door and able to have her check ups and I am so grateful for their care!

Great Yoga in Carson City ! Bridget taught the Yoga class and explained the poses and purpose of the poses. Great center and they also offer sound bowl healing. Seems like they have a solid strong community as the class was full so be sure to sign up on the website.

There are massage therapists who are educated and skilled, and then there are those few that I would classify as gifted. Kristi Manwaring of Massage and Bodywork by Kristi is definitely the latter. We'll versed in multiple modalities, she always has an innate knack to find those particular areas that need attention, and then provides just the right treatment to those areas. For me, a low back injury and subsequent surgery left me with chronic low back, hip and sometimes leg pain. Her combination of massage and targeted stretching always brings me significant and lasting relief, for which I am grateful. In addition to all this, Kristi is just a delightful person, and the experience with her is second to none, and I plan on continuing as a regular with her for many years to come.
Mark is an absolutely wonderful massage therapist and a great guy in general. He's so positive, friendly, professional, and his work is truly excellent! He really listens to your concerns and then uses a variety of techniques to thoroughly and effectively address your aches and pains. The attention he gives to each treatment and the quality of his touch really communicates how much he cares about his clients and his work. I can't recommend him highly enough!

I've gone to a few therapists, and most have been relaxing, but they haven't been able to resolve some shoulder problems I've had or my low back pain. Jordan takes the time to get to the root of the issues and I've seen improvement every time I go to her. She adjusts the pressure as you like and really listens to her clients.
