I've since moved to Chicago (now the suburbs as of recent), but my mother still lives in normal.
While in Chicago, I naturally tried to find someone to cut my hair near me. I'm not the pickiest person when it comes to my hair, but no one did it nearly as good as Kristina - to the point where I would mkst often wait to visit my mother to get a haircut from Kristina.
I've refered friends and family, all of which consistently keep on seeing her.
She's very skilled and I'm happy she started her own business.

Did a great job removing the tint from my front windows and windshield. They also have a very friendly dog. Very great price and finished in 45 minutes. Process was very quick and easy.
We worked with Let's Party for a tent rental for our wedding. We quoted with several companies in the area, and Let's Party had the best prices for sure. But don't let that make you think the product or service isn't of the highest quality.
The tent was perfect, as was the lighting we had added on. Let's Party was also able to provide a dance floor and heaters for the tent, so even though it was in the 40s on a chilly November night, you would never have known it.
On top of that, our contact at the company Trevor was always extremely easy to get a hold of, and always willing to answer any questions and update our quote when needed. And the tent was installed and taken down at the venue with no coordination required from us.
Simply put, I would recommend Let's Party as highly as possible if you need a tent for your event. The price is more than fair and the value is excellent. Thanks to everyone on the team!
I highly recommend going here. They actually listen to your concerns and treat you as a priority. They're proactive approach in searching for the cause of my stroke lead them to find a hole in my heart, ASD, that was releasing clots and deoxygenated blood into my brain. A major cause for my Migraines. They then consulted with a cardiac surgeon to correct the defect. The surgery was in February and I'm doing so much better today. I no longer have to take the monthly injections and Topamax to help control my Migraines. Where other Neurologist have failed this Neurology team succeeded! THANK YOU!

My experience with Dr. Lockwood and her staff was very positive. Waited time was extremely quick. The person who helped me initially was pleasant and professional. Dr. Lockwood offered multiple suggestions for treating a hammer toe, explaining pros and cons for each one. I feel I can ask her questions that she will take seriously and professionally. I recommend her office without hesitation.

My niece Ashley is a stylist at this location. She must be good because my wife drives an hour and a half each way to get her hair done. And it’s not free. Ashley is worth every penny..

I’ve been coming for a few years and these guys give a great cut. I would admit it, I’m 65 but these are the best haircuts I’ve ever had in my life. Besides being great, they’re consistent and it’s a great atmosphere in their shop.
I had a great experience with Na’Shya today. The shop itself was very nice and clean. I did have a little trouble finding the entrance at first, but she immediately came out, greeted me by name, and personally walked me into the shop, which really set the tone.
She was extremely professional, polite, and took the time to really listen to what I wanted. My beard trim came out exactly how I hoped…no enhancements, just pure talent ??.

Kim is the BEST nail specialist around! By far! She is constantly up-to-date on the next techniques, always at continued trainings and also teaches. Nails are her specialty! Her passion! Besides diving of course. ? She educated me on why I shouldn’t be powder dipping my nails and I was disgusted that I had been doing it without considering how unsanitary it is with everyone else having their nails dipped in the same powder mine were being dipped in. I was looking for the best way to build my own nails to be stronger, healthier, and unbreakable, and she educated me on the builder gel she used and why it was so much better. So I trusted the professional and tried it! What I ended up with are the most beautiful and strong nails I’ve ever had! She barely uses a drill so you know your nails aren’t getting ruined or thinned out as she works intentionally to rescue and preserve your nature nails. I have the most smooth, perfectly shaped, thicker (but thinner than any other style I’ve ever tried and they are STRONG) nails ever! They look AMAZING! They feel AMAZING! Feels like they are completely natural and I can’t believe how strong they still are! There is NO ONE better in the area to have your nails done with! She genuinely caress about your actual nail, nail bed, cuticles, etc! Got to the expert! Not to a place where your nail is getting drilled on! She has so many options, so many color styles, so many types to choose from, and she’s just an all around wonderful person too! Appointments required! She’s in high demand! You’ll see why! She even sent me home with some cuticle oil and expressed for me to massage my cuticles nightly which has also been a game changer! Not sure if she always does this or id she did it for me because I came from out of state, but either way, the thoughtfulness and care for MY nails was out of this world!

I rarely write reviews, but this salon deserves a shoutout. Everyone is kind and knows exactly what they’re doing. I never leave disappointed. It’s hard to find consistent quality, but they’ve nailed it—pun intended.
Called them at the last minute for a walk in pedicure. 4 minutes later, I was sitting in the pedicure chair. I was also pressed for time and I was in/out in 40 minutes. I’m impressed. I didn’t specify that I wanted the basic $35 pedicure so they gave me a $50 dollar gel pedicure. I didn’t like that part but they did a fantastic job. They only take cash but there’s an ATM on sight so be aware of that.

Rebekah was fantastic! This was one of the best (if not the best) haircuts I’ve ever received. I let my hair grow for about 18 months, only having the sides trimmed occasionally, and she was able to transform me back into a great style! I walked in looking like a weathered dollar bill and she left me walking out of there looking (and feeling) like a million bucks! Sincerest “thank you” to Rebekah for getting me back on track!

Jackie is absolutely the best. She knows what my hair will and won't do so when I bring in a picture of a new style she will tell me if that will work or not. And her scalp massages are the highlight of my day.
I see Kristina at the Parlor. She listens to what you want and is careful every time that you get what you want. I have very thin, fine hair so I’ve had problems with stylists getting lazy with my cut-not Kristina. I like that she has her own room so the service is one on one. Other stylists and beauty providers work there as well.
I came here with my mom for slushy pedicures done by Tristin. It was super nice and relaxing. She also made us feel super comfortable in their salon. It was just us and her which was kind of nice. Was a great time getting to chat with her and get our toes done. Absolutely recommended her for all your nail needs!

Got a deep tissue massage with Lexi and it was great, just what I wanted. She did great giving special attention to the problem area I had mentioned but also still gave enough time to still make it a full body massage. So relaxing and worth it.
We saw Jacque for a haircut for my daughter who is a bit more introverted and shy and on the spectrum. She is amazing! Communication is key and she has the best and most genuine personality for this. Ricky did an amazing job with my tattoo. He was able to listen to my ideas and create something totally original that exceeded my expectations. He knew what would look good and what wouldn't work to come up with some amazing work. From our initial discussion to the finished piece he listened to my ideas and had great suggestions on how to make it work. He's a very talented artist and was just a great person to spend six hours in the chair with. Can't recommend this place enough.

Artist did a decent job. Followed protocol and used all sterile needles and sanitized and changed between each person. The finishing could have been more perfect. After the trace ink got washed away, there were some unfinished crooked lines. The filling left some lines uncovered on the tattoo. Went as a group, they didn’t need any appointments. Pricing is slightly expensive. The artist was patient enough to do 4 people for 3 hours. Helpful staff.
I love all my pericings!! The Lady that periced me the last year or so is amazing. I can't remember her name but she's a husky and has gauges. I'm also gauging now too.
I would give a 5 stars, but I went in for a downsize for my Labret pericings. (3 months late but they said it was okay they understood and I had not pericing bumps.) The girl that 'downsized' me went through 4 different bar sizes telling me they were too small, after telling me the first one I healed in looked really good , and now my lip is irritated and swollen and I have a pericing bump. I haven't recognized her, but she has orange hair and tall, rather thin.

I needed help with my furnace when it went out. After another company didn't follow through with helping me I asked my office manager for advice and she recommended Plumb Crazy Plumbing. She informed me that they had a technician that specializes in furnace repair. I called them the next day and explained my issue. I had an appointment set up for later the SAME DAY!!! John showed up on time and quickly had the issue assessed. Ran and bought the new part and put it on. He had my furnace working again in just 1 hour. John was very friendly and knowledgeable on what to do. Couldn't have asked for better service!!!! I now have a company that I will call for any future services. Highly recommend them to all. They also do electrical I was told. Reasonably priced for what was done.
Our water heater was leaking and after getting price estimates from 5 companies, we went with A-1. They were reasonably priced, efficient, and respectful. We appreciate their service.
Called 5 plumbers to get an estimate on a repair to a water intake line that was outside my house.Of the 3 that showed up Mayol was the only one that was on time, provided solutions instead of only pointing out problems, and their estimate was dead on. The only regret I have with them is that I wasted my time calling around instead of hiring them on the spot.

I can not say enough good things about my experience with CK Brush. I had a very unexpected plumbing crisis. I was referred to CK Brush from several people in my community and I’m glad I listened. Nick had a crew at my house at 8am and they got straight to work. Ryan and his apprentice were polite, professional, and made it a point to break down the plumbing vocabulary in a way that I could understand. Yes, plumbing is expensive but I felt Ryan and the CK Brush crew gave me a fair price for the amount of work they did to resolve my plumbing crisis. 10/10 I will be returning to CK Brush, should I ever need a plumber again.
i had trouble with the circuit breaker for our pool equipment, and donovan quickly found that the electrical line was not properly grounded. he explained things in simple terms, checked the wiring carefully, and made sure the electrical setup was safe. he also knew a lot about pool-related electrical work and took a look at the pool heater after it stopped working. the heater was no longer usable, but the gas line had not been shut off, so he handled that as well, which gave us real peace of mind. i was very glad he noticed it. lance & sons electricians provided friendly, reasonably priced service, and everything is working properly now. i would definitely recommend them.
Shawn has done excellent work for me for the past 10 years. He has serviced my furnace, installed a water heater and installed a whole home humidifier. He responds to emergency requests the same day. I would highly recommend him.
I want to thank Frank for installing a new electrical panel in my home. What stood out most was how carefully and professionally he worked, making sure every wire, connection, and part of the panel setup was neat, safe, and clean. He explained the electrical work in simple terms and made the whole service visit easy and stress free. If you need a reliable electrician for panel upgrades or other home electrical work in Bloomington, he is a great choice. It is nice to have a trusted, friendly neighborhood electrician ready when needed.
We were interested in getting a generator hookup on our house during a recent power outage and they came out with very little notice and looked at our situation and gave advice on what options they thought would be best, some of which were not installing a hookup or hiring an electrician at all, which I really appreciated. The guy who came out clearly cared about helping us find the best solution, regardless of whether that meant hiring him or not.
I had them wire up a new hot tub about a year ago and they did amazing work. They wanted to get it up and running for me quick and sent a whole crew out who knocked out the project very quickly and professionally. Will be calling them for all future needs!

I bought Paramount Vintage Vinyl glue down flooring. Columbia had the best price and great customer service. Brenda is a wealth of information and happy to share. Thank you for answering my many questions!! I did not use them for installation so I can't speak to that. But I will come here for my next project.
The entire Carpets Plus team did a great job. The salesman and install team answered all my questions from beginning to end. The installers came in, set up, removed all the old carpeting and kitchen flooring and removed all the debris . They worked together very quickly and professionally. I am very happy with my new floors.

I had an egress window installed. It only took about 5 hours and they did a great job. I was so anxious that they’d numb the gas line for the dryer that was right above where they were putting the window, but the guys total knew what they were doing.

Jeff and Scott have done several projects for us. They have always been great to work with. Just finished a kitchen remodel that had it's setbacks here and there but Jeff worked around those issues and completed it professionally. It looks great and have several compliments on it. We contracted with Knapp Builders to have our walls and ceilings painted, to have new doors installed, to all new baseboard and trim around the doors and windows, and to have new LVT and rugs installed on the 1st floor, up our stairs and 2nd floor hallway.
Knapp Builders sub-contracted for the painting and installation of the carpet. Their team did the rest and they did a fantastic job. They took their time and did it right, if my wife and I had any questions/concerns, they graciously answered them. Their respect for our property and for us went above and beyond.

We contacted Bill to help us make our lower level all lvp flooring because our son has special needs and we needed to remove carpet and uneven flooring so he could use his walker without flooring restrictions. Bill does high quality work and communicated well with us throughout the process. He even accommodated a few changes we made midstream! I have had Aaron Schultz out two different times to look at my trees and both times he has been professional, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. I had an issue with another service planting my trees too deep, and Aaron came out accurately assessed the problem and put together a plan on how to fix the issue. Called to see if they were taking new patients. Was told yes, but earliest appointments would be in couple months. When I explained my toothache situation, they got me in that morning. Dr. Owens did a thorough exam and determined the problem. Her assistant and the receptionist were very friendly and helpful.
Dr Stephanie is great as well as all the dental assistants! I trust Dr Stephanie. But I can only speak about the dental assistants I’ve had, which have been very knowledgeable and friendly. The staff at the front desk aren’t quite as friendly, though. But not bad.
So kind, truly the best dentist office! They are thorough, procedures are painless. Highly recommend Dr. Wyse and his team!

I have been a patient of Dr Kabir’s for almost 2 years and have been very pleased with the level of care and attention that I have received. I had been experiencing tenderness in my shoulder, and limited range of motion, that I had been ignoring for about 6 months and decided to try softwave therapy. After the first few sessions I felt like the range of motion was much better and I had very mild tenderness, but no pain. Each session helps more and more and I’m so happy I decided to do softwave.
I never leave reviews, in fact, this is my first, but I rely on them often. Dr. Brown was amazing and his Assistant Ashley was so nice. It was the care he gave that was really impressive. He was thorough and took the time time explain my X-Rays, then adjusted my spine accordingly. If you were a patient of retired Dr. Stout, Dr. Brown is your new Chiropractor! I came to Dr. Snell with pain and barely able to walk from a serious leg injury which effected my back hip and leg function. I tried shots, physical therapy, and I pretty much concluded that it was my new way of life. My husband has been a patient of Dr. Snell and had successful results so I was willing to try ANYTHING. I never thought I could walk without so much pain... Dr.Snell did a miracle

I have visited this practice on a weekly basis. They have helpede keep my hips aligned, my lower back pain as well as my neck. Their decompression machine has also helped with my lower back pain. The staff and the doctors make sure my needs are met and they are super friendly.
Mike is an exceptional chiropractor, he was the first chiropractor I have ever seen and he made me feel very safe and comfortable. He explained everything that was going on, and the procedures he was going to do step by step. I have recovered exceptionally well and am glad I went to see him.. I highly recommend!!!

Dr Wayne is absolutely amazing! I had a failed epidural years ago and ever since then my back has been in terrible pain. Even after just one visit I couldn’t believe how much better I felt. I was finally able to sleep on my back after 7 years of pain! Can’t thank this place enough for all they do.
Dr. Kilby is the best veterinarian in town, hands down. Don’t believe me, go and check her out. She is knowledgeable like most, but she is also thorough, kind, caring. Not only is she all that towards your pet, she also treats dog parents with grace, understanding and so much love. This office has also some of the most efficient while at the same time caring people. It is an absolute pleasure to go there and know that your pet is in good hands. Here is my lovely lady Abby. Have been going through a rough patch, but she is in the best hands!

My dog does not like being around strangers, specifically at the vet but he was so much calmer compared the other interactions he's had. The staff here was very welcoming and knowledgeable, I felt like did a really good job explaining what they were seeing and provided great extra information for things like allergies and dental health! Dr. Nord is the only vet that I'll trust with any of my animals. He is someone who is extremely honest and puts the health and safety of your animals first so much so that he takes the time to teach you the "why" behind what he recommends.
The vets here have been lovely, my kitten had a lot of ear problems right when I adopted him, and they saw a lot of him in the first couple of weeks, and were very kind, helpful and informative. Everyone at the front desk is also always so sweet, I highly recommend this clinic. I can mostly only recommend Dr. Bundy, but I've heard great things about all the other vets here as well.
I will always recommend them, over the weekend I had to bring my cat in, she was very sick & she just woke up one day and was extremely ill & not doing well, I brought her here & unfortunately I had to put her down, I didn’t have the funds to cover the visit & the cost of putting her down they were incredible and worked with me with the funds I had so my sweet baby didn’t have to suffer any longer and they made a paw print for me at no cost, they are incredible and very caring!
