I had such an amazing experience with Sylvia today! I have wavy/curly hair that really needed some TLC. Sylvia asked me questions about what my typical routine was, how long I liked to spend on my hair, etc. so she could cut it in a way that worked with my routine. As she was cutting and styling my hair, she walked me through the entire process and why she was doing certain things. I liked that Sylvia was gentle. I have a tender head and I wasn't uncomfortable at any point. Sylvia is great at what she does and made me feel comfortable and welcomed the entire time. I'd recommend her to everyone, especially if you have curly hair!

Always get a great haircut from Steph! She pays a lot of attention to all the details. She's extremely nice and has no problem carrying on a conversation. When she's done with my hair she always gives it a final inspection to assure she didn't miss anything. Steph has been the only barber that has cut my hair for the last 10 - 15 years. As far as Distinguished Barber Studio goes, it has a good vibe with lots of conversation going on. They make sure to acknowledge everyone that comes through the door. Enough said!

My daughter Lily has been wanting to get her nails done for some time now . While on a road trip from California to Chicago, we had to pass through Colorado. We Stopped at a mall and discovered LO NAILS , we went in and what a great decision that was . The owner Liz was at the front desk and we asked if there was any availability , she checked and said how about now . We were so happy . Liz was kind and patient with my daughter and her work was awesome and blew me away , it was exactly what Lily wanted . Liz was fast and friendly and the price was great . They are great people, and even with trying very complex designs, they do great jobs (this is to the best of their abilities). They sometimes get pretty busy, but they try to make sure everyone is done decently quickly. Also, super accommodating when someone else wants to get their nails and feet done.

I have done my fair share of research in the valley regarding tattoo artists and shops and I have to say that Drew Craig is the only artist in town that I would trust to do anything. He's personable, dedicated and very talented. He has done all my work and each piece he has taken his time on to make sure it's exactly what I want. I've never had to argue with him about what I want or have him want to change something or not want to do something that you often deal with in this town.
His prices are reasonable, especially with all the inflation that is happening he still tries to keep cost low for his clients. He often does flash deals to help people out who don't really know what they want or just want something small.
He is also way more clean than I've seen at other shops and artists. He is also great at communicating just message him and he'll answer.
Seriously, Drew is your guy if you're looking for a solid artist who has your best interests at heart and if you want someone experienced, clean, professional and he has a great sense of humor.
We found this shop while looking for someone to do multiple tattoos after a death in our family. There were 5 of us that all wanted to get something to honor a beautiful soul. He went above and beyond to make sure we all got what we wanted. He is a tru artist not only with the tattoos but was kind and compassionate. The shop is clean and he did all of it in a timely manner. I would recommend this shop to anyone anywhere. I am from Montana and we will be coming here for all our tattoos in the future. I wanted a recirculating pump in the bathroom which is furthest away from the hot water heater. A friend referred Cam to me after her own good experiences with him. Cam answered all of my questions about my current water heater, then about a faucet not related to this project, as well as questions about the new pump and its timer. Truly I believe Cam was honest with his assessments of my current/future needs and also the options he presented to me. He stated he did not mind if we talked business which then extended his scheduled hour for a bit, and he did not charge me for the extra few minutes. I was pleasantly surprised with the senior discount. Another bonus was that Cam charged me exactly what he paid for the price of the pump, without an extra shop fee/stocking fee which other contractors routinely use. His rates are more than a handyman, but his licensing assures me that he the work he does is to code, and that he understands the code. I wholeheartedly recommend Cam, and I will call him in the future including when it’s time to replace my water heater.

These guys are great. On time, professional. They do a lot of our bigger, specialty projects at work, as well as the work at our residential apartment complex. Only one issue ever and they happened to be working on the apartment next door the following day. I mentioned it to them in passing and they swung by unscheduled at the end of their day to fix it.

I was visiting family in Fruita when I found Mom’s dishwasher and dryer were both broken.
A quick trip to Appliance Parts Plus and I was able to purchase a heating element for the dishwasher and a pulley, belt and tensioner kit for the dryer to get her back up and running.
Guy at the counter looked up the correct parts using the Whirlpool model numbers, gave me tips to install them correctly and even tested my heating element to make sure it was bad before selling me one.
You can’t beat the hometown businesses when you really need something quick. Knowing they make service calls, I know where to call if Mom needs help when I’m not around.

We are a general contractor in Grand Junction since 1953. We design and build custom homes. We have always had a hard time finding a good landscaper. My neighbor had some landscaping done by Painted Desert Landscaping. I noticed that the workers were there everyday. ‘The job didn’t sit’ it got done. I talked with my neighbor and asked him if he was satisfied with their work, he was very satisfied.
I had Painted Desert re-landscape our back yard due to our many dogs tearing it up. Tom (owner) and I came up with ideas to make it Labrador Retriever proof. We have a large back yard too. 5-20-25- I just want to update my review after several years. I had a couple dead spots in my lawn after this unusually dry winter we had, where the grass didn’t come back. And so I decided to cut them out and re sod those areas. I needed maybe 10 sq ft total. Not knowing if they could help in my situation (usually they specialize in large orders), I called Grassroots as they’ve always treated me great. I didn’t realize it, but they do sell individual rolls, and cut them every Thursday if you want to call to get on their list for that! Being as I was on my days off, and just trying to bang out these yard projects, I mentioned that to them and the receptionist told me to come down as they had some scrap pieces that didn’t make the cut ;) that I could have if they’d work! I drove down, was greeted right away and they got me taken care of! I know this is out of the norm of what they do and maybe luck was on my side, but nonetheless their service continues to be top notch, and my yard looks great because of it! Thanks Again!

The care & efficiency of the office was wonderful. As a new patient, I would have given a 5 except that I made my appt 5 months in advance, was very specific about the hygienist & dentist I wished to see based on family member favorite. My hygienist request was not honored unbeknownst to me until arrival. While I was satisfied with the hygienist I did see, I was disappointed my specific request was not honored, even though the scheduling did reflect my request.
I found Dr Davis and his staff to be very pleasant and professional, as well as easy to work with. I recommend this practice to everyone !

I can’t say enough good things about this office and the care I’ve received. I came in with severe upper back pain that was affecting my daily life, and the shock wave therapy has made an incredible difference. After each shock wave therapy treatment, you are definitely sore for about 24–48 hours, but afterward I noticed significant relief and improvement. It took about 6 treatments for me to really find lasting relief, and it has absolutely been worth it.
I was dealing with constant tightness and sharp pain in my upper back, and now I’m finally able to move more comfortably and get through my days with much less pain if any at all. The adjustments have also been extremely helpful, and overall I’m feeling so much better than I did before starting care here.
Dr Bumgarner is knowledgeable, caring, and truly takes the time to listen and make you feel comfortable throughout the entire process. Jordan, the office manager, is always welcoming and professional, which makes every visit a positive experience.

Over the years I've seen a lot of different chiropractors during my travels. I moved to Grand Junction a year ago and saw two different providers before finding Dr Annie. It's official! She is my new best ever chiropractor. My shoulder had been hurting for 2½ years. I've had injections, medications, and physical therapy but nothing has helped. On my second visit Dr Annie focused on that shoulder and I left there with no pain. She is amazing! She uses muscle testing and what I call a thumper. She is excellent at reading the muscles and only adjusting what needs to be adjusted. She also has a laser. I'm looking forward to a long relationship with her. I highly recommend and will visit with her regularly.

We have been extremely pleased with both the treatment regimen and office service with Dr Kirkegaard. Our son had a pre-acne dermatitis, which was mis-diagnosed by a previous dermatology clinic (not confident an actual doctor even worked there). A family member recommended Dr Kirkegaard, so we went in to see him. He immediately knew what the problem was, and as he had an intern assisting, asked her to go get the textbook so she could compare the presented problem with what was in the book - it was a spot-on match. Dr. Kirkegaard gave us a prescription, and within a few days there was significant improvement. After a couple weeks, the affected area was completely clear. At the appointment, Dr Kirkegaard was attentive to our son's questions and very thorough.Also, in response to the "other" review - if there was a problem with a staff member, well sure I guess you can criticize - but for us, RESULTS are what matter, and Dr Kirkegaard got us results! Plus, he was great to deal with, and we had no problems with the front office staff.Finally, note that you can get in with at least a couple dermatology clinics with minimal wait. However, to see Dr Kirkegaard is about a 60 day wait for appointment availability. Not ideal, but one has to wonder why he's in such high demand...perhaps it's because he knows what he's doing...? Hmmm...

Contacting River Valley Gateway after viewing website was a call that changed our policy when faced with letting go of our St. Bernard. A full explanation of procedure provided assurance this was appropriate decision. Past family members (dogs) were taken to Vet facility for this heart aching decision. Having them come to our home provided the best atmosphere by taking any drama or trauma out of the equation. Maui our St.Bernard relaxed in his bed was put to rest in a dignified manner. His best friend the Great Dane watched from outside window and was brought into home when Maui had passed for closure. We want to thank the staff at River Valley for the professional and compassionate handling of unfortunate reality pet owner face when family member has succumb to terminal cancer.
Dr. Hogan has changed my neglected rescue cattle dog’s life. Starvation early in life set the stage for IBD and unmanaged anxiety that she diagnosed and treated. My Sunny boy is on the road to recovery and a normal life. I’m so grateful for this office, their staff and Dr. Hogans passion for healing pets!

I am currently taking my 15 year old dog to see Dr. Katie for hydro therapy and acupuncture. My dog has arthritis, but she is showing a lot of improvement from being able to get up and down better on her own, standing longer, better gait, and more energy.
Dr. Fromm and her staff are wonderful. Thorough and caring! Our cat Judah doesn't love going to the vet but they make him comfortable. Update...we lost Judah but we now have 2 girl kitties that love Dr. Fromm and her amazing staff.

She took care of our border collie for a long time and when he got diabetes, she was amazing in helping us understand everything as well as making sure we were doing our injections correctly. Unfortunately, Emma, is no longer with us, but she had the best care the last year of her life and that was due to Dr. Lemmon.
All of my pets have seen Dr. Dunn and he has treated each one with the utmost compassion and care. I wouldn't trust my ferrets, in particular, in anyone else's hands. His staff are equally caring and friendly and the sensitivity with which a pet's passing is handled is remarkable. I have taken my dogs and ferrets to Canyon Country/Dr. Dunn for several years and couldn't be more satisfied or grateful for them all. ?

Really awesome experience. Great body work with massage, stretching, improving range of motion, as well as cupping. Amazing for athletes of all levels and for anyone having pain of all sorts. Definitely plan to return soon. Highly recommended.

He’s also an active listener and honestly a great talk therapist too — but he’s very sensitive to the mood of the room. If I’m not feeling chatty, he isn't either. Oh, and a one-hour massage is just $60 before tip! In my opinion, if you’re lucky enough to get an appointment with Michael, you’re pretty lucky!
