I was familiar with TMS because I’d witness it save the life of someone I love. I expected the treatment to lift my depression. I knew that the experience would be safe, painless, and I was fully prepared for the duration of the course. What I didn’t anticipate, was full remission. It feels like the fog has cleared, the weights untethered, and I feel trust in my ability to navigate the natural ups and downs of life. I saw a brain scan of a depressed brain vs a not depressed brain. The depressed brain had entire regions dormant. The not depressed brain was full of activity. That’s how I would describe my mental state: all regions working in harmony. I used to dread going to sleep because it meant another day was coming. Now I look forward to what each day might bring. I feel like myself again. Something I hadn’t felt in almost two decades. My memory has improved, I’ve finished a project that I’d let gather dust, I’ve reconnected with friends, I’ve started new habits. It used to feel like nothing was possible, and I couldn’t see the point of trying. I now feel like anything is possible, and I see the value of trying, for it’s own sake. I am a better and higher functioning individual since working with SoCal TMS. I noticed a rapid improvement in my mood symptoms which in turn allowed for improvements around my ADHD symptoms. It's been a few months and the beneficial effects have been sustained.

I utterly enjoyed my last visit and am obsessed with my hair. The staff are incredibly friendly from the moment you step in. Heather did my hair and we tried out balayage, she was fantastic—super attentive, skilled, and genuinely funny. This is my second time seeing Heather, and she never disappoints; she’s friendly, funny, and has a spooky-girl-at-heart vibe that totally matches mine.
Bella (the lovely assistant) was wonderful and sweet, adding to the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The products used smelled amazing and left my hair feeling silky and vibrant. Parking is easy in the back, just be sure to scan in.
Bonus points for Bailey the salon puppy—an absolutely adorable, friendly spark of joy that made the whole experience even better. The balayage has a beautiful rose-gold vibe and has earned me a ton of compliments.

Amazing!! I couldn’t say enough positive things, after 4 1/2 years of hunting down a colorist and stylist I have finally found my tribe. Linda, the owner absolutely gets customer service which again is so refreshing. It’s as though I’ve never experienced it before… Which is only because everyone else truly sucks at this these days. Lol despite that she is talented as our all of her stylist I’ve been to two of them so far I have zero complaints. The prices are not astronomical., her stylist are super friendly. They listen and aim to please, and everybody’s nice to everybody, not just to their own clients… for a second I thought perhaps I was on a reality show, but they really are just that nice and helpful and honest !! give him a go and tell him Misty referred you, for no other reason than to know that their hard work does pay off.
For the record Joe from New Zealand did a phenomenal job on my haircut and Jeanie, completely took me by surprise because she looks so young that has skills like a master colorist

I finally remembered to write my overdue review for Teyeb. I consulted Teyeb after an horrible hair color and cut at another studio. I was pretty shocked and didn't want to trust a hair stylist anytime soon, but also wanted to fix my hair result I got from the previous stylist, who did not listen at all to my concerns and wishes. I called Teyeb and he called me back for a phone consultation first. It was a good first impression for me to go ahead and schedule my appointment with him. He made sure I understand my options after I expressed what I envisioned with blending my natural hair, which was brunette, with silver, gray roots and highlights. He made sure that the products used were gentle on my hair, especially after having so much done a few months earlier and explained the color possibilities mixes plus showed me with strains of different hair colors I considered how it would blend in with my existing hair. That helped to get a better visual and to choose the right color for the highlights. I like the studio which was elegant and clean. Plus the energy was great and it was so nice that they had the beautiful puppy around to keep us company. I was very happy with my results and will be back in the near future to go a little bit lighter platinum and add a few more highlights. Now that I know how it looks. I will recommend Teyeb to all of my friends who are looking for a new hairstylist, and will be back for future hair needs soon.
Amazing haircut, Jasu is extremely skilled with a scissors and gave an amazing haircut. One of the best haircuts I have gotten for medium to long length hair.
Great barbers, moved into the area recently and this place seemed like a safe bet and it definitely is & more. I’ve gotten cuts off Kevin & Zac and I’ve been super happy with both and I don’t have easy hair to deal with. Highly reccomend.
Seven months ago, I moved to Santa Monica, and like anyone relocating, I worried about finding a new barber who could do as good of a job as my previous one. My old barber knew exactly how to shape my hair, so I was nervous about finding someone who could do the same.
After searching online and reading the 5* reviews for The Barber’s Cut, I decided to give it a shot and booked an appointment with Yamell. He did a solid job. In fact, he may have cut my hair better than my previous barber.
I highly recommend this barbershop and will definitely be a regular customer.

I had a haircut by Mauricio for the first time this week. He did an excellent job on my cut and was a great conversationalist. The price for a men's cut in Santa Monica was very reasonable. Also, while he cut your hair you felt like you were in an art gallery with his paintings and sculptures all around. I'm more than happy to recommend Mauricio.
Great guys who work hard and love their craft. Just be sure to call in if you’re planning on showing up at 7 AM. I’ve gone a few times and they weren’t open at that time.

What a gem! First off the interior of this barbershop is so cool, I feel like I stepped back in time and my daughter had a blast looking through the toys and magazines while big brother got his cut. But most importantly Tony was awesome! I have been cutting my 14 year old's hair for years because we've had way too many bad haircuts but Tony has put an end to that, kiddo looks so sharp and ready for graduation and he was really kind and engaging with my teen while he worked. We will DEFINITELY be back!

My son got a haircut here and loved it the experience was amazing and his barber Louis was amazing as well. My son normally likes his hair long and in his face but Louis shortened it perfectly! Overall the vibe, service, and quality was amazing and my son is so happy and even asked me to write this review, we will definitely be back.
The Damn GOOD Pedicure truly lives up to its name: damn good! I’m still adjusting from the quick and immediate life of nail salons to the small and personalized experience of a private studio but I’m loving the attention to detail, which the opposite, was my biggest pet peeve at (most) nail salons. It’s worth it! Go get a damn good pedicure!
I’ve been looking for the services provided by MKM Nails for quite some time without any luck until I found Mallory at MKM nails. I wanted to find a CLEAN space to have my manicures (I’m really bad at doing my own nails).My nails have special needs- they are thin and brittle and they cannot handle the rough tools used at all of the other salons I had visited in the past. Mallory takes her time to make sure you get the cleanest and most precise manicure. I just love my nails, I can’t tell you enough. I do the dazzle dry manicure. This polish can be removed easily with nail polish remover (no soaking drills etc). It dries very quickly after it is applied so no wait time and it lasts way longer than a traditional manicure without the damage caused by gel polish. If you have sensitized, brittle, thin, delicate, problematic nail beds then Mallory at MKM Nails is a must see. You can easily book online on her website. I have been going to Ege’s for almost a year now and every time I leave the salon I am blown away with my manicure and pedicure. This is hands down the best salon in LA. I get a consistent manicure every 3 weeks and until I met Quitzia and Kita I tried all the top rated salons from Santa Monica to Beverly Hills even our to Glendale and nothing compare to the work they do here.
Selfishly wanted to keep this place a secret but I just can’t. If you are looking for an amazing mani/pedi and the worlds sweetest people this is your hidden gem.

Here I am again at SkinGuru spa getting a Japanese scalp massage and I am in absolute heaven. Michelle is truly a gem and really knows what she's doing when it comes to these services. I have never been to someone who is more professional and knowledgeable about her craft and really makes you feel at ease and peace when you're getting your treatment done. She even goes through the process with you and even shows you camera that shows the picture of your scalp and its health. I was in bliss the whole time and after the treatment, I could truly feel my hair and scalp just feel so much healthier. Highly recommend Michelle and SkinGuru spa!!

I used to live in Los Angeles and get massages at Willow Spa frequently. I live on the east coast now but any time I am in LA I try to book a massage with Nicky. I have yet to find anyone as good as her. You melt away on the massage table. She works out every point of tension and knot. And is a wonderful human being!

Truly wonderful. I've had the massage, red light sauna, and multiple antioxidant facials. The experience varies depending on your person, but is always good. Note that the 30 minute antioxidant facial doesn't include extractions. Makes sense with the time restrictions but just fyi.

Jiyoung is an incredible lash artist. Her attention to detail and passion for what she does shows in every set. As an actress it’s important to me to have very natural looking lashes that enhance my eyes without looking like I have extensions. I’ve had a very hard time finding lash techs in LA that specialize in realistic looking lashes. Jiyoung understands the assignment and she ALWAYS nails it. Every time I’m on set I get so many complements on how natural my lashes look from the makeup artists.

Jerry Botham has been our trusted plumber for nearly 20 years now. We have a very fussy, 1928 Spanish house on a hillside. Our plumbing has always been tricky. But, Jerry really can do it all and he does every job with very clear communication, attention to detail and a high level of expertise. He has done everything from replace and repair major components to small things like snaking the drains. Once, when we discovered a leak at the street, he came out right away and could have just fixed it and charged us but instead he told us that he thought the city was actually responsible. He explained everything in detail to me and told me what to say to the city to get them to fix it at their cost, which they eventually did. He is very trustworthy and always does the job the right way. He is also on time and returns calls quickly. I can't say enough good things about this guy!

I needed a whole new drain pipe for a sink that probably hadn’t been updated since 1952 when my house was originally built. JMS was able to come diagnose the pieces that needed replacing, order the parts and come back out the next day. My plumber, Orlando, went above and beyond, clearing gunk build up in non replaced pieces. He also was super friendly, and allowed my dogs to be in the house during the work. It’s always nice when my dogs are able to watch ;)

Overall the project finished on schedule, budget, and met all of our expectations.

Uli, Romero and company did excellent work on our recent ADU, plus house extension/remodeling, about 700 sf in all. Their bid was reasonable, and their work was mostly excellent, plus they responded to special requests without question (such as moving a wall that was already framed, for example). Romero, especially, was fantastic. They also followed up on items after construction, worked through the pandemic (which struck in the middle of our project), and finished in a timely manner. A strength of Bayview is doing much of the work themselves, so they do demolition, foundation work, framing, painting, etc. not everything, but a lot, and that speeds up the process. There were change orders of course, many generated by LADBS (one rather pricey a sewer line change), and a few others, all reasonable and within our expected budget. An area of weakness is outdoors: we had a lot of DG, and though they worked with it, we had to redo with an experienced landscape person. Likewise, when we had our deck put in, a recalcitrant tree kept growing up underneath. We eventually hired a tree-removal specialist, at some expense, to get rid of the tree roots. (Wish we had done this to start.) in spite of those issues, the overall experience was quite good. We recommend Bayview, and especially Romero, vey highly.

After my first session I walked out of there a new person. I had to go on a 30 minute walk to enjoy how my body felt before I got in the car to drive home. My hips and pelvis felt aligned and open. I could activate my glutes again through the gait cycle. And there was no cracking or agressive movements. He was releasing tightness in areas like the iliacus, hip flexors, and feet where other therapists have never been able to before. All my lower back and hip pain have been resolved, and he even provided me a great resource for foundation training to do on my own to maintain things. Trust me I've seen many PTs and massage therapists in my lifetime, and Dr. Charlie stands out from them all.
I was suffering from SI pain, Sacroilliac joint pain, that radiated into my right hip and butt muscles. It started years ago and would subside and reemerge regularly. It was so bad in the past coupe of years that periodically I resorted to using trekking sticks to remain mobile. I started wearing an SI "belt" in the past year which helped some but I was still having pain during physical activity. I decided that since my orthopedist couldn't help me and physical therapy provided limited success I'd see a chiropractor. I have seen chiropractors off an on since the '70s so chiropractics wasn't new to me. I searched Yelp and decided I'd start with Dr. Mitchell and if I didn't get results I'd try another chiropractor. Because I'm in my seventies, I have a COMPLEX medical/health history. First thing I liked about Dr. Mitchell is that before he came into the room he took sufficient time to read my health history. Now some of that history is directly linked to my SI joint pain but multiple myeloma cancer, chronic kidney disease, etc. are just other things I deal with. But I wanted my mobility back, free from pain and that's why I was switching to a chiropractor. Dr. Mitchell is trained in numerous chiropractic modalities and uses different ones depending on what my SI joint needs that day. I'm HAPPY to say, I'm attending my senior aerobics classes again three times a week! I'm wearing my SI belt infrequently and after each chiropractic visit I can feel the subtle changes in my posture, balance and alignment. It's subtle and one of the ways I notice it I can feel different muscles engaging to maintain the new alignment. Be aware, he actually works Tuesday and Thursdays, not M,W,F as listed here on Yelp. Dr. Clarke is phenomenal! I was absolutely terrified of chiropractic treatment (I always thought my neck would break) but I feel so comfortable and safe at the Joint. I've been going for about 2 months now and have noticed a difference in my posture, but more importantly, in the ability to maintain this better posture more comfortably (e.g. when sitting at a desk). I also feel like somehow my overall spinal flexibility has improved- which is very important to me as a dancer.
Dr. Clarke did a really excellent job of easing me into the process and explaining "the how" and "the what" behind the adjustments. I am a pretty active person - always with some minor ache or pain - and can't imagine my overall fitness/ health regimen without these weekly adjustments. The staff is also quite lovely and very responsive. Highly recommend.

So naturally I have been feeling of my comfort zone for the last 5 months. But coming into the office felt like a warm hug that I have not experienced in a long time at a doctor's office. Dr. George is the best!! I took my dogs to him for over 20 years. The man loves all dogs. My Welsh Terrier had a degenerative disc problem. Dr. Georges acupuncture gave Oliver a lot of relief. I have moved to Arizona and I have taken my current Welsh Terrier to over 10 vets to find someone close in knowledge and compassion to my favorite vet. My search has been futile. Here they treat dogs like cars going in tor a tune up. You first meet with the assistant and then the vet comes in to check out your dog. Than the assistant comes back out and put a list of services they think your dog needs on a computer screen mounted from the ceiling so you can get a good view. screen. It is never less than $500. You are so lucky to have a Vet like Tony. Just appreciate him.
Many great things to say about SMPMC, however, this review is specifically about one of the team members, Monica Munoz. Monica is always upbeat, friendly, a great listener and always willing to go the extra mile in providing great customer service be it on the phone or when I have to bring my dogs to the office. It's stressful enough dealing with medical issues for our pets and while Monica understands this, she always try's to take care of the clients needs so that you as the client can test assure that everything behind the scenes will get taken care of. She's a true asset to SMPMC.

Olivia the manager, is the best ever, and I love all of the instructors as well!I waited a long time to write a review because it's already a popular studio, and I sort of want to keep it to myself, but really they are epic and everyone should know about it.
I have been coming for 20 years. I love all the teachers. Unpretentious, spacious, and great vibe. If it weren't for this place I don't know how I'd survive. I'm thankful that I've been able to share the experience with my little Lacey who does sleep-yoga beside my mat. Thank you Power Yoga East!
The Iyengar yoga class with Victoria is awesome. It's a good workout and she gives great pointers.

I did Pilates with Nadia in Santa Monica! Nadia is amazing! Very hands on and makes sure you’re doing it correctly. She personalizes the workouts for any specific injury you might have and she has GREAT taste in music. I would definitely workout with her again! ?
World class studio,world class instructor! Marie Soule just led me through the most wonderful private lesson; I absolutely loved it. Her teaching was dynamic, engaging, and tailored to my individual needs and ability. Her expertise and guidance left me feeling strong, stretched and aligned. I couldn’t recommend her and Phoenix Pilates more!
I do mat Pilates regularly and had only experienced one reformer class before today. I didn't think reformer Pilates was my thing, but I loved it today and felt like it was a really good workout!
Jackie is an attentive instructor and didn't go easy on us just because it was a beginner class. I really appreciated that.

The space is bright and clean and comfortable. (That's also a big difference from the other studio I experienced, which was dark.) The space feels like a retreat, almost meditative. And there are cubbies to store your things while you get your Pilates on.
I love working with Maytal, this is truly one of the very rare truly authentic Pilates experiences in LA!

I have been doing Pilates with Jolette for the past 7+ years. She has a passion for Pilates and sessions with her are both rigorous and fun. She is an excellent, meticulous teacher. My strength, posture, flexibility and balance have significantly improved since I began working with her. Group lessons are fine for an introduction to Pilates but if you really want to learn Pilates, with detailed one-on-one instruction, I strongly recommend you get started with Jolette.
The most amazing massages in LA—cures my migraines. I get migraines on a regular basis and live on the East Coast. Whenever I come out to LA, I book time with Liz or one of her girls (multiple times if possible) because one of their massages keeps me migraine-free for over a week (when I normally get 15-20 a month).
It’s can’t recommend Just What You Knead more. I wish I lived in LA so I could take advantage of the healing power of these wonderful massage therapists.
Jenylyn at The Gift Spa is seriously the absolute BEST! I've been to her twice and was blown away by the results each time. I had never tried a harisienne facial before, but once I did I was so impressed by the results. My face looked completely snatched, lifted, hydrated, and glowing! Her body scrub and lymphatic drainage massage is also amazing. I would recommend Jenylyn to anyone and everyone!
Christina is a super intuitive and powerful healer! She has a very sweet, loving, and gentle nature. Her massages are very healing and she is surprisingly strong for how little she is. There is no substitute. She works from Intuition and it’s a true mind, body, and soul experience. Just relax and close your eyes and when it’s over your world will feel slower, calmer, clearer. Sometimes I need to sit in my car in total silence for a few minutes to come out of the spell.And yes, there is a shower you can use before the massage; get ready to slip into another world.

I have done many types of body work over the years, and had never even heard of this technique until earlier this year. It is sophisticated, detailed and the healing is profound. Gadi Kaufman is extremely knowledgable about the nervous system, the body, and the physics that make it operate. After breaking my foot, two years later, the pain would not subside while walking, despite continuous physical therapy and other modalities of treatment. A friend recommended Gadi, who explained the nervous system - something no one has ever done. And after just one session, I suddenly felt my feet firmly planted on the ground with my hips balanced....I also felt a huge relief from the pain. He taught me how to do exercises that have helped immensely. But after bring out of town for a few months, the pain had returned. I went back to Gadi. To my absolute surprise, after one sessions, I woke up the next morning with absolutely no pain in my foot -- for the first time in over 2 years! I couldn't believe it. I'd say Gadi is a miracle worker, which may be true, but he has said again and again, that the effect of the daily exercises are accumulative. And while everyone else has focused on my foot, he addressed the entire nervous system and re-balancing of my hips and legs. It does feel like a miracle. THANK YOU!!

I wasn’t planning on getting a massage, but after a delicious Thai meal next door, I decided to walk in and I’m so glad I did! Cindy gave me one of the best Thai massages I’ve ever had. She really knows what she’s doing. Highly recommend if you're in the area and need a good reset!
Grace Bruno does a superb job of making my muscles relax, When I am tired and stressed out, Grace knows how to reduce the tension in my back and neck I would definitely refer her to anyone in need of a professional massage.
I have a very complicated body to work on after 13 orthopedic surgeries, including 4 neck and 4 back. Finding someone that can actually do therapeutic body work on me is VERY rare, so I was thrilled to find Tracy! She is incredibly intuitive and just by using her hands she understands where to pinpoint in order to give the most relief. I always leave feeling open and unrestricted in my movement and relaxed. An added plus is that Tracy's place is really clean and relaxing and she has the most beautiful white cat!

My first time here. I talked to Sarah over the phone to set my appointment, she was polite and quite helpful. Patty was who did my massage (deep tissue). Im very familiar with deep tissue massages, she was doing a great job working on a lot of tight knots.

Neha has helped me a ton with neck pain. She does a great job of explaining exercises and stretches to do in between sessions and I have seen significant improvement each week. The office is spa-like and super comfortable, each session feels both really relaxing and informative and I look forward to every appointment.
I came to Elevate after a major skiing accident with multiple complicated fractures in my leg. The care and incredible therapy I have received and worked on over the last year with Dr Kyle and the other therapists at Elevate have been incredibly life saving to me. The care is personalized. One on one with your Doctor of PT. My recovery would never have come along this far after a year without the professionalism and incredible therapy- which required hard work- without Elevate. I am a former marathon runner and athlete so it was very important to me to work hard with the best after a freak ski accident. Elevate has been a major factor in my recovery and I am so thankful for their amazing positive support and pushing me to get back to the best I can be.

He took the time to really explain what was going on with my foot, what was causing the pain, and most importantly—what I could do to improve it.
The care I received felt incredibly personalized. I looked forward to going to PT! John and Ruben didn’t just hand me a generic exercise sheet—he tailored everything to my needs and lifestyle. Ruben would walk me through each exercise and ensure I was excersing the right muscle group and provide feedback on each movement.

I want to start by saying how incredibly grateful I am to have found Dr. Lin. I first brought my teenage daughter to see Dr. Lin for acupuncture treatment for hormone imbalance and general fatigue. As Western doctors had recommended medications, we wanted to see if a more natural approach could work first. Dr. Lin is so knowledgeable and experienced that she diagnosed the problem right away and treated my daughter with acupuncture. My daughter’s health improved immediately, and her hormone imbalance was cured during the visits. Dr. Lin has treated us like family. Dr. Zhong is is very skilled and I was lucky to find her to help me with the hip pain. I have sciatica and pulled muscle which heart me so badly. After a few appointments I felt much better and have ability to move around.

I have been going to Jung Kim Acupuncture for a number of years and can not recommend them strongly enough. Many of my friends go to them because they have seen the results in me. I have been amazed by how their mixture of acupuncture and herbal remedies have helped me and others heal from everything from flu, to stress, digestion problems, to frozen shoulder and neck pain and even eczema. Recently I had my first ever kidney stone. On June 13th my regular MD had a scan done that showed an approx 1/4 inch stone. Accupuncture with Dr Kim and Dr Yun helped me with the lower back and abdominal pain, and they prescribed an herbal remedy twice daily that would help reduce the stone and help it pass. With the acupuncture treatments, my pain was reduced to almost nothing, it did come sometimes for a day or two, but it wasn't intense. Two times I canceled the scheduled surgery to remove the stone, because I wasn't in pain and I was hoping the herbs and accupuncture would work with time. Yesterday, on August 5th the stone passed through me. If I had had to have the recommended surgery it would have been an estimated 2 week recovery time and so much pain and cost. I am so relieved and happy and so amazed by the power of Dr Kim and Dr Yun's healing. Their office is always a happy and friendly place to go with Laura (who covers the desk) guiding everyone through whatever they might need with her light and friendly care. If you are trying to decide if this is the place for you, just go! Healing is possible and we are so fortunate to have access to Dr Kim and Dr Yun. Every time I leave the office after a treatment I feel like I do when I go on a 3 day meditation retreat, calm and at peace with the world. I wish I could give Jung Kim Accupuncture more than five stars!
I came to Dr. Marina seeking relief from chronic headaches that I've been dealing with for the past 20 years.
