I want to give a big shout out to SuperChris @DelReyOptometry in Playa Del Rey, my beloved beach town! Dr. Pennino is amazing, charming, beautiful, excellent and fun! In particular the guy I’ve recently renamed SuperChris is outstanding! He was being referred to as Chris2 and that just couldn’t stand in my eyes so now he’s SuperChris! He takes great pride in his precision and excellence. He enjoys his work, goes all in and takes delight in pleasing you! He goes beyond the call of duty for little specialized tasks that others might dismiss or refuse but could really be a huge help in the moment. He demands excellence from the lab regarding color shading on lenses, etc. I just love him and know I can depend on him to deliver the very best product possible in a timely manner! He had my latest glasses back in 6 days! The same glasses that previously took 2 months to deliver and still weren’t the right shade really. Both Chris’s are great! The rest of the staff is kind, helpful and friendly as well. If you desire a little beach time I must say Playa Del Rey can deliver outstanding food and many additional services like great optometry!

I went to see Raj on a whim after desperately seeking relief from my knee pain. I had recently injured myself, but didn’t seem to be getting better. After a reassuring phone call with Raj, I booked my session in hopes of finding relief from pain but, more importantly, regaining a full range of motion in my knee. Raj was quite knowledgeable and provided me with substantial insight into the CNS and muscular tightness. Immediately after my 90-minute session with Raj, I was able to sit down and stand up with less pain, less tightness, and less discomfort. I wasn’t expecting much, but I left feeling relieved and like I'd gotten my life back. I also attended his virtual session, where he teaches you the technique himself so you can continue to sustain your progress, and I have been able to reach almost the full range of motion in my knee. I highly recommend Raj and his services! He is extremely nice and will put your needs first. It is quite pricey, and his schedule isn’t the most flexible, but if you can make the time, you won’t regret it.
I never go anywhere else. Always on schedule, they send a text when it's ready, it's very easy and efficient. 10/10.

I gave birth here in 2018 during the Woolsey Fires. I had planned a homebirth, but we had to evacuate. Amy was so kind and gracious to give us permission to welcome our baby there. I’ll be forever grateful for her generosity and support in such a vulnerable moment.
Kicki is wonderful. She was very thorough in investigating how to provide the right therapy for my particular issues. I felt I was in very good hands and will be booking with her again as soon as I can. I thought the level of therapy she gave me was exactly right for starting to shift out of the pain I've been experiencing. I made enough positive progress to feel optimistic, but have a ways to go. The massage room is very comfortable and relaxing.
Dr. Recker is absolutely incredible. He’s not only highly skilled and professional, but also laid-back and easy to talk to, which makes every visit comfortable. He truly goes above and beyond to make sure you feel taken care of. After each adjustment, it’s like being completely reborn, lighter, looser, and free of tension. I can’t recommend him enough if you’re looking for someone who really knows what they’re doing and genuinely cares about their patients.

Monty's is located in an unassuming location at the corner of Pershing and Manchester Ave in Playa Del Rey. There isn't a sign up front, and so you'll note it to be next to Cafe Boheme and a cross-fit gym. It's a low key, clean place that has been in the neighborhood for many years, apparently. What I like about Monty's is that, despite their tiny parking lot, you have decent prices in comparison to the rest of the neighborhood. It is $5 a shirt, and you'll get it back in decent shape, and they'll put red tape on collars that need work. For the most part, the lady that runs the place is relaxed and you may even need to call a number when coming in to get an attendant to come over from the nearby laundromat. I do think they could use more business as the pandemic has been tough on dry cleaning establishments, and they have reduced hours between 10am to 4pm. If you can't find parking, just park in the adjacent parking lot and walk your stuff over, as there is a pathway between the two lots to walk over. I hope you get to enjoy their handiwork, and know that none of your clothes will ever go missing.

The best, they will cater to your specific needs and make suggestions. Very environmentally aware and correct. Best place in town for easy stuff and wedding dresses, they do tv shows and Kaden events as well as your laundry.
I love Seaside Salon!!! Johnny has been doing my hair for 25 years now and it’s like visiting family when I go to Seaside. David is a sweetheart too and always willing to help. Wouldn’t think of going anywhere else!

I don’t agree with the reviewer who said it’s not clean or pleasant - it’s totally fine for a standard nail salon. I’ve never felt it’s unsanitary.

I've been getting pedicures here for 17 years...and they've always been accommodating. The service & quality are consistent. The prices are good and staff is always nice. Now called Fami Nails with a younger couple running it. Diane was nice, but she retired.
