I had a haircut by Mauricio for the first time this week. He did an excellent job on my cut and was a great conversationalist. The price for a men's cut in Santa Monica was very reasonable. Also, while he cut your hair you felt like you were in an art gallery with his paintings and sculptures all around. I'm more than happy to recommend Mauricio.
Flanked only by a small sign, an unassuming door opens up to a flight of stairs. Mauricio greets you at the top and invites you into his studio. A single chair awaits across a room adorned with paintings, sculptures and objects that not only bring color and energy to the space, but is a reflection of the man that created them. Sitting in the chair, Mauricio preps you and asks about your cut. I don't quite know all the terminology and I do my best to describe it. Mauricio is a professional, so he understands and gets to work.
