“Eric was extremely competent and thoughtful. Our HVAC system was leaking water on the garage floor and ruining some boxes we had stored there. He figured out that the drain pipe was overloaded because it shared the drainpipe with our water heater. He offered 3 solutions, but the most cost effective one was to install a demand pump to assist draining the condensate from the HVAC and any overflow from the water heater through the drainpipe. He kept us apprised of his progress and any delays.“

“Booking the appointment was easy. Miguel, the service technician, was on time, polite, and did a good job performing maintenance on our two AC units.

My concern is pricing. Maintenance was $180 per unit, or $360 total. They found one capacitor that needed replacement and initially quoted $295. I declined and instead bought the $25 capacitor myself at Home Depot; Miguel installed it at no charge.

The upstairs system was also low on refrigerant. They charged $159/lb for R-410A and added 3.5 lbs, for $556.50. Total bill: $916.50. Miguel was here for about 90 minutes.

“Amazing service after 7pm! Heater wasn't blowing out air from the vents. I called and spoke with John. We are a repeat customer. They had been out a few years back to replace a part on our older heating unit (that we didn't buy from them).

On our phone call he took the time to trouble shoot some things with me and eventually walked me through how to reach the filter for the unit. (Turns out, this was the problem.)

He could have easily made us schedule a service call, but helped us right over the phone. During Dinner! No charge. Told us exactly what kind of filter to buy (and what NOT to buy). Working great now!

Patrick was our technician, and he was fantastic. “Our experience with Freon HVAC has been exceptional for a full panel upgrade to 200 amps and installation of a new Mitsubishi mini-split system in an old house. We took quotes from 4 different top rated hvac providers in the San Jose area, before deciding to go with Freon. I appreciated the honesty and detailed analysis of our needs by Slava when he first showed up to do an estimate. He asked a ton of questions, checked the house for existing setup, wiring, possibilities, and discussed multiple possibilities including ducted, gas, hybrid, and heat pump only. Once we decided to go with a specific type of configuration, he gave us multiple options. Their pricing was competitive and while it took forever for PGE to get to the wiring/transformer upgrade, Freon's team worked with them patiently to meet our needs. Special thanks to Jessica for regular follow ups with PGE and us. Once PGE scheduled the wiring upgrade (after 3 months), Freon's team was prompt and did a very clean install including all internal wiring and drainage work. They ensured city inspection was scheduled promptly and addressed all city concerns for a quick approval.
