“Woke up the Wednesday before Thanksgiving (Nov 22) to a disturbing noise emanating from our furnace. Called our usual repair service. They were slammed. Called Jim. He was at our house in an hour. Problem was the water pump. He cleaned it to get us through the weekend. Came back today (Nov 28) and installed the new pump. Terrific service, very reasonable prices. Sadly he doesn’t do water heaters (our next big replacement).“

Jose arrived a few hours later, diagnosed the problem (it was not simple, as our plumbing is convoluted from multiple renovations) and solved it in about an hour. “I've known, used and referred Mike Fox and A&A Plumbing over 25 years for both residential and commercial properties. This home visit was for a furnace malfunction. He diagnosed the problem in less than 2 minutes based on the noise it was making, added some lubricant to stop the squealing, ordered a new part, picked It up the next day, installed it in less than 5 minutes and was done. People may not know that he is an expert at heating and air conditioning as well as plumbing. Like having an engineer on the job. His crew is great also. Honest and worthy of your trust. You'll never be disappointed. BTW, he's very busy. The great ones usually are.“

“I submitted a ticket with American Home Shield Warranty and they had someone from Same Day Air Conditioning & Heating reach out to me to set up an appointment regarding a clicking noise I was hearing whenever the heater was turned on.Gabriel was dispatched to my home. He was courteous and even brought his own shoe covers upon entering. He carried his ladder up 3 flights of stairs with care, ensuring it did not damage any of my walls.He made his way to the attic to assess the issue. Turns out, the noise came from a PVC pipe that was pushed into the wood structure every time the heated duct expanded. To fix this, he re-positioned the pipe away from the wood.Since he was already up there, I asked him if he could take a look at a closet ceiling leak that I recently noticed and confirm the water source. Sure enough, there was a leak in the pipe which he was able to seal. He asked that I wait 2 hours for the glue to dry before turning on the heater and to give the company a call back if the clicking noise was still present.Waited a couple days for the glue to dry (just to be on the safe side) but unfortunately still heard the clicking. It wasn’t as strong as before but still present. Scheduled another appointment. He came back to move the pipe even further from the wood but mentioned the original builder did not do a good job with the piping layout so he was limited on how far the pipe could be pushed back. Luckily the clicking noise had finally stopped (phew).He noticed the heater frequently turning off on its own so he proceeded to the furnace to check the air filter and found it was completely covered in a layer of thick dust and also installed incorrectly (by previous homeowners). He showed me the correct airflow direction and recommended that I stop by Home Depot to pick up a new filter since likely the trapped dust was causing the heater to act sporadicly and circulating dust within the home.In short, I initially had 1 issue that I called in for and he ended up fixing 3! :)“
