933 Mason St, San Francisco“Easily the most supportive, encouraging gym I've been to thus far. I already have a great idea on fitness and training but these guys have quickly filled in the gaps with excellent coaching, classes and community. 7x7 has been beyond welcoming and answered every question. They don't let you feel isolated due to skill set and have classes for every fitness level. CrossFit sometimes can have a negative bias towards it but trust me, everyone who works or trains here wants you stronger, happier and healthier. As a primary endurance athlete who sometimes does bodybuilding style training, my fitness and body have never felt better. I plan to keep coming back to this A1 facility month after month and hitting goals. Check it out! Parking is a little tough but well worth it. They also have lockers, a small refreshment fridge and a decent sized bathroom that is clean.“

3702 Grand Ave, Oakland“Left Coast is an absolutely amazing yoga studio! Most classes are warmed to around 82; initially I wasn’t sure if I’d enjoy this but I love it. Instructors are warm and friendly, giving clear cues on how to get into the poses with the right alignment, and without hurting yourself. My favorite teachers at this location are Deb and Malka - Deb teaches slower Alignment Flow and Flow + Restore classes and Malka teaches Power Yoga, which is more of an energetic vinyasa flow. Also love some of the newer teachers, like Zach and Malika. Definitely check it out! They have a great new student special - first month of unlimited classes for $75.“

4226 Park Boulevard, Oakland“I was attending a conference at the Oakland Convention Center and took Amelia's morning yoga class offered on floor 21 of the Marriott. It was a stunning view and Amelia was a great teacher. I really liked the way she spoke about which move was coming next and I felt very comfortable even as a beginner. Highly recommend hiring her if you have an event.“
“I love Yoga Kula - every time I visit the Bay Area I make sure to take some classes here. This place oozes authenticity, inclusiveness and relaxation. The teachers are great and offer a varied selection of classes. I am so grateful that I came across this gem and long-time Berkeley yoga haven many years ago - I have never found a place quite like it. ????“

4 Yosemite off, Piedmont Ave, Oakland“I have been with Mountain Yoga for a year and I love it! I did a wide sampling of studios from Walnut Creek to Oakland and landed on Mountain Yoga. Basically, it felt most worth my time and money. I learn so many different things from all the teachers that I do not mind driving from Moraga to Oakland 2 to 3 times per week.“

6239 College Ave #201, Oakland“I’m thrilled with the progress I’ve made toward aligning my spine and reducing pain. Everyone here is so friendly and helpful and I feel so good after each session. I’m in the middle of my treatment plan, but for the first time in as long as I can remember I can envision a life without pain.“

3308 Adeline St, Berkeley“After more than four years between classes, I was so happy to return to Heather's class in person! I was pleasantly surprised to find that Adeline has moved to a new, even better location, just a few doors up. This class was exactly what I need, and I especially appreciate the helpful title: "Continuing Beginner," that's me all right! September will be 9 years I've been practicing yoga, but (almost ) half of that has been (almost) entirely on Zoom so getting in-person adjustments is a welcome change. I come with the heart of a beginner. Thanks for the great class! Also, pro tip for other continuing beginners: if you don't go to Adeline Bakery for a treat after this class ends, you're doing it wrong.“

245 Columbus Ave, San Francisco“My experience at Sisters in Motion was excellent! I really appreciated Jennie's guidance and care throughout my orientation class. She is graceful, powerful, patient, and encouraging. I also loved all the language around expanding, taking up space, and touching our bodies as we moved. Their focus on female empowerment through movement and community is so vital.“
“Small, clean, and bright Pilates and Barre studio. I’ve loved all the instructors here and I find their classes challenging but approachable / modifiable for any level.“

2849 Webster St, Oakland“Immense gratitude for Goddess Ashley of The Yoni Day Spa. What started out as an inquiry on her products turned into a 1-hour one on one wellness session. Our Queen sister had no intention on selling me anything but to sincerely pour into me. Ashley thank you for reminding me to take care of ME. To prioritize my mental and physical health. This was a testament to that quality of your character and your products. After our call a literal weight was lifted off my shoulders. Peace and abundant blessings to you and wishing BIG success in all that you do. I can’t wait to try your products ✨??“

2425 Chestnut St, San Francisco“Hot yoga is an incredibly important aspect of my life and the location I go to needs to be great to support that. I took their introductory one-week special and immediately signed up to continue classes for the foreseeable future.I've taken classes with Alex, Rikk, Haleli, and Genie and am so excited to have found this spot. It's wonderful because all of the staff are pleasant and wonderful people which has the yogis catch the same positive feelings, the instructions are clear, understanding, and help me maintain my center, and the room has everything you'd need to hop in and get going.I love it here and I'm sure you would too :)“

1548 Stockton St, San Francisco“Glow is the best! Glow has been essential for growing my yoga, Pilates, and meditation practices through a wonderful range of class offerings. Beautiful studio. Inspired atmosphere. Outstanding teachers. Welcoming community. An oasis in North Beach.“
7AM - 9PM
1694 Union St, San Francisco“The Pad is a great studio! I like it because it is close to my house, parking is relatively easy and they offer many different classes everyday. I feel like post-covid, many yoga studios only offer a couple of classes a day and I appreciate having more options. It is a very calm and relaxing environment and folks of all levels are welcomed and challenged. The teachers range from very good to really freakin' awesome - there are a couple who clearly know their stuff and have a lot of experience to share.“

3661 Grand Ave #104, Oakland“Every once in a while you meet an actual angel who improves the lives of everyone she touches and leaves blessings in her wake. Dr. Klein is one of those angels. I went to her in excruciating back pain from a herniated disc and desiccating vertebrae as well as difficulties from my c-section scar and the way my body recovered from that c-section about a year prior. At the time, I thought the price for her package of sessions seemed high but I was desperate for help that I had been seeking for about 8 months. Looking back at it now, I'd gladly give her a kidney if she asked for it and promised to work on me afterwards. We did do some back and neck cracking, but we also did a lot of deep tissue release, scar tissue mobilization, stretching, and take-home exercises like you would get at a PT.My back doesn't hurt anymore but I still go back every 4-6 weeks for a "tune up" and I hope she never retires.“
5 - 9PM
2573 Shattuck Ave., Berkeley“Wow ?"I had an incredible experience at the Hot Yoga studio. As a yoga instructor myself, I'm always seeking ways to deepen my practice and reconnect with mindfulness. This studio provided the perfect environment for both. The heat intensified the challenge, pushing me to explore my limits and find new depths in each pose. The instructors were knowledgeable, supportive, and offered gentle guidance to help me refine my practice. The atmosphere was calming yet energizing, creating a space where I could truly immerse myself in the practice. I left each session feeling rejuvenated, centered, and inspired to continue my yoga journey. Highly recommend this studio to anyone looking to take their practice to the next level!"“

9 Grand Ave, Oakland“Visited on a First Friday. Got to chat with the in house resident artist. Chilled in the lounge. Great for relaxing when you want to be out hanging but not walking the streets of DT Oakland in the cold. Really nice employees.“
“This place is a true treasure of wisdom. I have been doing moment for 30+ years yoga, tai chi, martial arts. Working as a professional and a teacher for 20 of those years. JinSung was showing me things that are fundamental to movement and alignment that I have never seen or heard of. In three class I have had breakthroughs that I didn’t know where possible on a physical and emotional level with relationship to my body and moment. I would also like to add my friend who has no yoga experience and does not work out loved the class as well. Please do your self a solid and take a beginner level 1-2 class with JinSung and come with an open mind and heart and see what happens.“
“This studio is both comfortable and quirky. Comfortable bc the studio owner was creative in how she converted a home into a yoga center. Quirky bc the artwork was eclectic and representative of local artists' work. Treina is very sweet and cared about her studio“

268 Arlington Ave #C, Kensington“Eugenia speaks the language of tissues, of muscles, of bodies. She is the first person I have found that has been able to create lasting effects in loosening my tensions and bringing a balance to my body. Her work is much more than physical, it is subtle, and I think this is what makes it so special. She understands the multi-layered aspects to a body, and gives the subtle body attention and care. There is so much listening happening between her and my tissues, I feel that if I talk, I am sometimes interrupting hahaha!I leave her studio feeling like I just left a cocoon; revitalized, accepting, and attuned to my body.Edit: it’s been about over a year since I last saw Eugenia, but I continue to use her attunement lessons in my life.“

“I learned a lot from the visit and it's obvious she cares deeply about what she does. She provided lots of information on ways to improve my health and I am slowly making the changes. I already feel much better and can hear a quiet voice within saying "thank you"“
