The adoption process was smooth and included checking out my kitty with their vet where I got to ask even more questions and leave feeling well prepared. I appreciate how listened I felt and how I never felt rushed or that I was being annoying for all of my questions. Great place to adopt a cat and i’m sure they do an amazing job at all of their other services too ♥️

He not only cut my hair to become more manageable and cut it properly for my kind of hair, but he educated me on what routines and hairstyles were damaging my hair and provided me with hair products that brought my curls to LIFE! Through hair masks, more nourishing shampoos, and conditioners he left me loving my curly hair like ever before. Now that Im graduating from college I am so grateful for the magic he was able to do with my crazy curly hair. Abi is great! Abi is a hairstylist from Japan who speaks Japanese. Someone who is familiar with Japanese hair products and has extensive experience in the United States. Even if you have thick, bristle hair like me, you can leave it to us to create a beautiful finish. Kind, polite and reassuring.
Hannah is a MASTER. Fantastic color - so much so that other stylists regularly comment on it. She's quick, too, which is so, so helpful. Cut is great. Overall, a true gem. One star off only because she is booked so far out! Allow 4-6 weeks. Maybe she could mentor up an associate?

Took my son (3) in for his first haircut and it was just perfect. We barely had to wait, and our barber Max was a total pro. This is a lovely salon, head and shoulders above any other I have visited. The environment is lovely and inviting. It is kept scrupulously clean. All employees use free time to sweep, clean, or organize. I have never heard a raised voice here, and find my visits very relaxing. I highly recommend this salon!

Great first experience today for a pedicure. The husband took my appointment over the phone with 15min notice and did my nails. He was methodical and attentive, and did a great job with every step. Paid $40 cash (plus tip) for a gel pedicure with many of the luxury upgrades that I would expect from a more expensive “spa pedicure”: sugar scrub, hot stone massage etc. this will be my new pedicure spot in town!

Update: Lee mee contacted me and apologized about the bad experience I had. She took responsibility for her employee and offered to redo them. I was very on the fence about it but she convinced me to come back by taking accountability and stayed extra time after business end hours to fix my lashes. I went back and she redid them and now they are comfortable and do not hurt anymore. She also gave me instructions on how to take care of them. 5/5 for today's service.

I went for a natural extensions like they advertised. It was my first time doing it too. While it was being done, it was painful from time to time. Once the lady gave me the mirror once she was done, some of my bottom lashes were glued to the top and i couldnt properly open that eye which she fixed once I told her. Since I hadn't done them before ever, i thought they looked fine since I didn't know what to expect. While it was being done, the more experienced ladies were monitoring it and telling her things in their language which i didn't understand too. I thought they were guiding her so things should be fine. They were hurting when i was closing my eyes but at that time I didnt think it was a big deal. I paid $55+$10 tip and left. They started falling out as soon as I was outside. I rushed back in and they said they would fill it in. It was burning and my eyes were tearing up. They hushed me to the main room and told me not to get it wet until tomorrow. I left but the lashes were uncomfortable and kept falling out throughout the day. At night, it was very painful and i kept waking up due to the pain while shutting my eyes. It seems some thick wafts had been glued to my waterline and the waft were thick and big. My lashes along with them started falling out too. Maybe 20% of what they put on is remaining in my eye in about 24 hours and many of my own lashes have fallen off too. I understand that maybe the tech that did this was inexperienced but the other ladies seeing this and letting this happen and letting me walk out of there twice when they saw this signals bad business ethics to me. I will not be returning here and suggest noone to go here.

I worked with Super Brothers to replace and upgrade my HVAC system in my home. This is the second time I have worked with them on a home improvement project and they continue to provide excellent service and work to give me and my family a fair price on parts and services. The team got our project scheduled within a week of our initial estimate project. The technicians who completed the work were on time and worked quickly to get the job done so there was little to no inconvenience for my household. They made sure to protect the floors with floor coverings and wore shoe covers when necessary. The technicians were polite, professional, and answered any questions we had.
This was a two day project that included a two man team working to remove our old heating system from the attic in pieces due to small access point and the old air conditioning unit from our back yard. They also had to upgrade our electrical panel and add new switches to accommodate the voltage of the new HVAC units.
UNIT DETAILS: We chose the Bosch 3 Ton 19 SEER2 Variable Speed Heat Pump Unit. Our estimate for work included:

I booked a one-time deep clean for a 2-bed, 2.5-bath house with kitchen and living room, and she went above and beyond — cleaned the inside of the fridge, oven, and microwave, and even folded my laundry. I was referred to Reynolds Painting by a friend and couldn’t be more impressed. Jason and his crew painted the interior of my Davis home, and the results are stunning.

We needed some major renovation work involving the conversion of a outdoor sun room into enclosed living space, and we knew it would be a complicated project so we hired a local building designer well-versed in Davis codes. With the plans and city approval in hand we started approaching the big-name local construction firms and were immediately met with resistance, as all insisted we shelve our design plans ($$!!!!) and use their own designers. They wanted to control all aspects of the construction, including the design, and although I respect that, I was not about to throw away $6,000 and an approved city permit. I contacted Mike Pesola, the owner of Bedrock Construction after doing some background checks, and he called back within a day. All I can say is I found Mike Pesola a true professional who was interested in how we wanted the project done, and was a project leader who made it happen. He took the plans and studied them and came to me within a week with an estimate that was within $5,000 of my own estimate of what the job should cost. We did it in two phases, starting in the fall, and then restarted again in April. Any costs outside of the contractual plan was clearly allocated, usually because we as owners decided to upgrade certain fixtures, but in all cases there were no surprises and the project moved forward on schedule and on budget. As a former contract administrator, I can tell you this requires both parties to pay attention to the details and keep both sides informed, which is exactly what happened. His crews were polite, cleaned up after the days work, and arrived when they said they were coming. When there were issues, and in construction projects there always are, Mike was there and things were ironed out seamlessly. Because of Covid 19 concerns, we delayed the planned 2nd phase by almost a month, and Mike worked with us in rescheduling his crews. Mike's father was a building contractor in NYC, and it was obvious Mike learned the business the right way. We are extremely pleased with the results and recommend Bedrock without any hesitation. It is a family business and run the way I would run my own business. Bottom line, project was delivered on time, on budget, with excellent results with no issues with the city or our neighbors! Thumbs up, Mike! Fine work!
MAK recently completed a second remodel on our home. The first, 15 years ago, has aged well, and their work made our home a much pleasanter place for our young family. Their work on the first go-around was so excellent, that when we started thinking about aging-in-place home modifications, we returned to MAK.
The recently finished remodel was extensive, and touched nearly every part of the house that was not modified in the previous remodel.
The design team helped us focus our planning and make specific choices. They did a wonderful job of asking us about our preferences, offering us a manageable range of design suggestions and helping us talk through our decisions, to make sure we ended up with a final product we liked. Our construction project manager, Carlos, was always available to us. We met once a week about project updates, questions and concerns. Carlos took care of interfacing with the sub-contractors. We always knew who would be in our house and when to expect them. He did a great job coordinating tasks around our life and schedule when he could, mitigating the disturbance the rest of the time, and making sure everything was cleaned up at the end of each day.
The sub-contractors were all craftspeople who worked to produce an excellent product. Steven, from JRB Drywall, filled a long crack in our dining room ceiling and took extra pains to be sure everything blended perfectly. Francisco, from Genoa Soapstone, came in late Friday afternoon to make a last minute cut the kitchen counter so our new cooktop would fit the space and was successfully installed before the weekend.
The tile installers were meticulous - thank you to Ulices at Top Notch Tile. Todd, from Country Bear Electric, saved us time and money when he found a way to run wires that reduced the amount of walls that needed to be opened. Arden Cabinets built and installed the wonderful bathroom vanity with rollout drawers so we can make use of the whole depth of the cabinet space.
I could go on. MAK did a wonderful job. We will use them again if we find we want additional work in the future. If you are considering a major remodel, do yourself and favor and meet with them.

Natalie has been such a lifesaver for my back. I feel like a new person who can actually move after every appointment! She is very professional but also such a kind and lovely person to talk to. Her office is also very kid friendly and she has been very accommodating when I have to bring my kids along. She really makes you feel so taken care of.

Dr. Cloyd is, simply put, amazing! He is skilled, professional, friendly, and kind. I first went to him about nine years ago on the recommendation of a colleague. My lower back had suddenly ‘gone out,’ and I could barely get out of bed or climb stairs. As a physician, I knew that allopathic medicine would offer limited options. As an alternative, I turned to chiropractic care—and I was incredibly fortunate to receive treatment from Dr. Cloyd.
From the first visit, he tuned in to both my pain and my apprehension. His vast experience was evident as he diagnosed my problem (intervertebral disc displacement and rib cage dysfunction) and began treatment very conservatively. He was reassuring and gentle, and he clearly explained every step before he proceeded. I had significant relief after my first visit and was back to normal within just a few sessions.
Over the years, he has helped me with various issues involving my shoulder, hip, and ankle. He has similarly helped my wife and adult son with occasional similar problems over the years. I cannot overstate my admiration for Dr. Cloyd and his clinical skills. I give him my highest endorsement.

I never thought I would be a cat person or own a cat until I visited here. It took one visit for me to absolutely fall in love with my kitty and know I needed to adopt him. The amazing workers here are passionate about what they do and answered my million questions about my kitty and helped calm my anxiety on doing anything wrong. Of course temperament, personality, and history will impact how an animal is, but my Luke came home loving everyone and desensitized to touch including on his paws and belly. The adoption process was smooth and included checking out my kitty with their vet where I got to ask even more questions and leave feeling well prepared. I appreciate how listened I felt and how I never felt rushed or that I was being annoying for all of my questions. Great place to adopt a cat and i’m sure they do an amazing job at all of their other services too ♥️

Best Yoga in Davis! Great way to improve flexibility. Good temperature to loosen muscles. Excellently instructor with clear and encouraging dialogue. Very good rehab from pain, stiffness or injuries. Full body workout with no overly difficult postures.

Allison is a straight up master genius and I owe my ability to move to her! I have a joint disease and when I first started going to her after a few movements, I was ready to barf. Just walking up the stairs to her studio was difficult for me. But she took it slow and steady and knew just how much my body could take with each session. After a year of working with her I’m almost able to do an actual Pilates class- which is INCREDIBLE progress. I never could have achieved this level of success on my own. She is a joy to know and full of light, I love getting to see her every week. She is an expert with issues!😜 You rock Allison!!!

Very good experience after my injury. Really helped get my knee back to feeling better after 3 years of little progress. Combined with physical therapy it made a huge difference. Would recommended to anyone looking for help with swelling and tightness.

Deep tissue massage with Kat highly recommended. Quiet studio with a sound table that pairs well with massage. Kat is quite a healer with a very firm touch that has helped to reduce my migraines and recover from sports injuries. Cool downtown location by coffee and tea shops that make my visits to Kat more like a spa day.

I came in with pain and left without pain. This guy knows his stuff. He has a unique massage style that I haven’t experienced before. I asked for deep tissue massage and it was deep tissue with different techniques. The atmosphere is really relaxing and the taste of music is definitely more modern than most massage places.
I had a great massage with Katie. She adapted to what I needed and left me completely relaxed. Since I'm not from Davis, it took longer than I expected to find the location, but I will gladly go back. I liked the peace and privacy of the location.
