I'm really glad that Johanna was recommend to me highly by my massage therapist. I was having extremely bad perimenopause symptoms (hot flashes, sweating, heart palpitations), and since taking a combination of supplements and working with Johanna those have dramatically reduced. When I'm laying in her office with my needles in, I feel relaxed looking up at the pink ceiling while listening to the bird sounds. Her style of practice is to use a medium amount of needles (about 15-25) a session and she changes the placement of the needles each time. Oh, and I forgot to mention her rates are definitely reasonable and she does accept FSA/HSA cards which is a plus!
Johanna is very knowledgeable and experienced and her treatments were thoughtful and thorough. After struggling with plantar fasciitis for almost a year, acupuncture treatments with Johanna brought immediate pain relief. I had a series of six sessions and no longer find the need for treatment. I am very grateful to have this valuable resource here in Davis.
I had a great first experience with acupuncture and am so glad that I chose to see Johanna. She immediately made me feel at ease in her quiet, intimate office. She was also able to fit me into her schedule right away after calling to get in to help my breech baby flip. Johanna used moxibustion to help my baby flip naturally and taught me how to use them myself to take home. She even contacted me the day after my appointment to see how I was doing and to follow up. Although my baby did not flip naturally, an external cephalic version (ECV) was successful in flipping my baby and I went on to have a smooth at-home delivery!
