I definitely recommend getting a haircut from Mayra. She’s got great technique and was able to find a style that flattered my thick, straight hair. She’s also kind and patient and will listen to what you want. Highly recommended!

I am so happy with my haircut from Liz McManus! She gave me exactly the cut I was envisioning but somehow even better, and clearly took her time to do a great job without rushing anything. Side bonuses: really comfortable hairwash before the cut, complete with gentle scalp massage that almost put me to sleep; and super easy conversation (which, considering I'm a consummate introvert, says a lot about her ability to read the room).The salon itself is cute, clean, with easy street parking in downtown Davis. I also really appreciated the convenient online scheduling on their website - was able to book a next-day haircut on a whim!

I'm a UCD student so finding a salon other than my hometown one was super intimidating. I've been twice now, once with Sam and once with Mayra, and they both did amazing! Fairly priced and good environment. Definitely would recommend!

Sassoon trained stylists. Mondays mornings we hold haircutting classes. If you think you may be interested in becoming a haircut model for one of our Monday morning classes call to volunteer. All haircut models are free. Amber and Ginger have a combined 40 years experience. Amber has spent 18 years training at the Sassoon academy in several different locations.
