Ok I have to give Steve a shoutout because he was hands down the most honest and patient salesperson I've dealt with in a long time. He genuinely cared more about me getting the right carpet than just closing a sale, which honestly you don't see much anymore.
He let me take home as many samples as I wanted, no rush, no pressure, just let me figure out what worked. He also made multiple calls right there while I was in the store to make sure the carpets would arrive on time and that an installer was available for my specific requested dates.
I walked in knowing literally nothing about carpet and by the time I left I felt like I could talk about it like an expert lol.
We liked the whole experience so much we're already planning on redoing the floors in our other house too. People like Steve who actually go above and beyond for customers are rare these days.
Oh and the prices at this store are great too. If you go in, ask for Steve!

I initially booked with Pepe, but with the holidays the next day, he had to cancel due to an issue- but he booked me with another Barber to make sure I was still good to go. I saw Oscar and not only did he cut my hair the way I wanted it, but the vibe was pretty cool. Ended up talking the whole time and I normally don't talk when getting a haircut. I just found my new barber and will be coming back moving forward. I've already told my friends about the place. Pepe and Oscar communicated well and reply pretty quickly. I highly recommend the shop. It's easy to get to, the barbers are pretty chill, and it's easy to book. They take cash or card which gives better payment options if you're in a hurry and can't stop by a bank.
Ricky is absolutely the best! My hair always looks so healthy and revived after being in his chair. I can show him a color/cut and he gets it spot on. He’s also a wizard with extensions! We did a trial before my wedding to make sure the color and length were correct and that I felt comfortable wearing them. Ricky matched them with my natural hair and put them in so seamlessly. Aside from being great at hair, Ricky is so nice and easy to talk to. I always look forward to my appointments.

I had a very specific haircut request and Thomas absolutely delivered.
I wanted a medium-length flow haircut with about 3.5–4 inches on top, natural flow backwards and slightly to the side. I asked specifically not to thin the top because I wanted to keep volume and he respected that perfectly.
My sides are denser, so I needed just a bit of bulk removed in the middle section only (not at the roots and not on the surface), and he did it exactly right the hair flows naturally without looking flat or choppy.
I also requested a soft mid taper on the sides (around a #3–#4 guard), and a rounded, natural neckline that follows the curve of my head no hard lines, no squared look, and not too high. This gave a clean, modern finish while keeping the natural shape of my head.
Communication was clear, professional, and he really listened to what I wanted. I’m very happy with the result and highly recommend him if you’re looking for a stylish, natural, and well-blended haircut with great attention to detail.

Cash only! No reservations. I pay $45 for a standard men’s haircut. I’ve been here a few times and have always been pleased with the cuts. They can do scissor cuts. Note, some of the barbers don’t speak English so there have been times where it’s a bit difficult to explain what I want.

I started coming to Sammi after admiring my sister's nails for years. It took me a while to start coming to her 'cause of my hectic schedule, as I used to get my nails done at the last minute. I’ve been aaaaall over Burlingame trying to find a nail salon that I like and kept striking out. The criteria was simple:
1. I want quality. A place that will just do a good job and not skip out on the details.
2. I want service. A mani pedi isn’t event that cheap these days and I’d like to feel like I’m being pampered. I’d like the experience to never be painful and to never feel like I’m being rushed out.
Pretty straightforward, right? Welp no, I’ve been to salons where they cut my cuticles so bad that they bled, salons where the staff was just straight up rude and salons where they just did a crappy job. Well no more. I’ve been to Aqua a few times now and it’s officially my go to place. The ladies here are so lovely, they always make me feel well taken care of, they sweat all the little details to make sure my nails look perfect. And somehow even though they’re super careful, they manage to be quick! On top of it all they have great customer service and are just so nice to be around.

I got a classic pedicure and the service was decent but I just felt uncomfortable in the unwelcome but welcomed way if that makes sense ( idk maybe it's just me being anxious or awkward ). The place was clean but the tech who did my nails she expected a tip afterwards and basically told me to tip her. She did a good job on my pedicure but I definitely won't be coming back.

I’ve been getting my lashes done by Kristin for a while now and can’t recommend her enough. She does the most beautiful natural-looking lash extensions. I keep coming back for that long, full, and soft without ever looking overdone look. I get so many compliments on them, and people are always surprised they’re extensions because they look so natural.
One of the biggest things for me is how long they last. Her work holds up so well, and my lashes still look great weeks later. She’s also very efficient in the best way. I never feel rushed, but appointments also don’t take forever, which is such a huge plus with my busy schedule.

She's great with hair color - especially warm tones! My color always looks rich and natural. I highly recommend Project Zen. As a birth doula, supporting a birth can be very physically demanding, and Project Zen has been the perfect reset for me. I used to get great Thai massages here years ago, and about a year ago I returned for regular deep tissue massages. I especially enjoy the deep tissue massage from May, she is excellent. I carry a lot of muscle tension that requires deep pressure, and she is able to really work through it. I leave each session feeling noticeably less tense and much more relaxed. I have also tried hot stone massage for the first time this year and it was incredibly relaxing, if you like heat and pressure combo I recommend it. The standard prices are reasonable and if you catch a sale, which they do occasionally have, you can find a great discounted price. I will absolutely recommend Project Zen to all of my birth clients.

The moment I stepped into the salon, the bright natural light and soothing fragrance immediately put me at ease and gave me a sense of optimism. Mandy's expert massage techniques were impressive—I could feel the circulation in my face improving almost immediately. The pore treatment caused a slight tingling sensation that was both intense and strangely satisfying. The warm steam felt wonderful on my skin, and even the air I breathed seemed refreshingly clean.
My favorite part was the facial and neck massage. I could feel the tension in my muscles melting away, a sign that circulation was improving and that my skin was being revitalized. After the treatment, my skin felt supple, smooth, and bouncy—it's something you truly have to experience for yourself to appreciate.

After calling around I decided on USA leak detector because they were able to get me an appointment the same day. They were able to pin point exactly where I had a leak. Steve was able to come out and fix my problem in 20 minutes which end up saving me a lot of money. He was extremely knowledgeable and didnt mind providing insight. We were willing to wait and, unfortunately, we learned 2-3 mos later that it was still not available. As a result, we had to choose basic white to speed up the process since our project was already delayed and needed to change our contractors' schedules at the last minute. Darwin, the project manager, was most helpful in speeding up the order and was most attentive to our needs throughout this project and was a great communicator. He responded to our emails, text, and questions efficiently and took care of any issue or concern we addressed. He was always reassuring and followed through on his promises. When permits were ordered and inspectors were scheduled anytime during a 3-4 hour period, he was always on time, willing to wait as long as necessary, and gave us their positive feedback when all done. We highly recommend Darwin to anyone hiring this company for a project. I would also like to complement Luis on a job well done! He replaced the framing, plumbing, fixtures, bathtub/shower, and wall surround in a professional, efficient, and timely manner. He always cleaned up after himself and it was a pleasure working with him and his employer. The bathroom looks 100% nicer and we are very pleased with the outcome.
Jeff from JAB Construction was terrific from the start. He gave a competitive quote with a thorough, accurate price. His accounting was always spot on. He was always on time and kept me informed of progress along the way. He involved me when needed but also took action without involving me when appropriate. He has great subcontractors that were on-time and did great work. He was always on the job to meet all the subcontractors and to manage his own workers who also did good work. Jeff finished the job by making sure everything was done right. I hardly found anything that needed to be fixed but with the few things I noticed he quickly took care of them. I discovered Dr. Danli back in 2020 during the peak of Covid and my first pregnancy. Dr danli is a friend now and she always takes the time to listen to you and your concerns and finds ways to help you from the bottom of her heart! She spends an hour through the entire process and it almost feels like a massage that resets me for weeks after! She’s Webster certified so great for pregnant moms, and also supported my husband through his disk and shoulder issues! She’s flexible, communicative and always has the best anecdotes with the most positive energy to share!

WE LOVE Camino Real Pet Clinic! All their staff is kind, attentive and caring. We were recommended last year around November to this clinic by my pup's groomer after she found some of Butter's rotten teeth that needed to take care of. Of all the clinics that I called, Camino Real was the most attentive one. They actually care about your pet. Dr. Ten, Butter's vet, made sure to check up fully on Butter and had all the necessary lab works before the procedure. Dr. Ten explained to me what to expect and kept me informed all the time on the day of the procedure. Though Butter needed to have more teeth extracted than originally planned, Dr. Ten only charged us for her hours, not per tooth. Thus, I'm so grateful to Dr. Ten and Camino Real Pet Clinic for their reasonable charge and superb service!

The clinic is a quaint historical house and it has a small parking lot in the back and along its side and one spot in the front. It can accommodate up to 5 cars, I believe. I've never had problem finding parking here.
Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Ten and the Camino Real Pet Clinic to anyone!

I had an allergic reaction to products I was using at home and I went to Goeun Beauty to get a facial. It was really thorough, the employees made sure that i’m comfortable with every treatment. It was really relaxing and helped my skin go back to normal and hydrated it. I will definitely go back for another treatment.
Carrina is lovely, I started getting massages to relieve back pain from a minor car accident. She spent time with me to understand and target the pain that was spreading due to compensating. It’s only been a month and my back feels better than before the accident. She was also very open to helping me get what I needed for insurance, which made everything less stressful. Totally coming back!

I recently tried the slim down massage. I have been seeing Claire for years for deep tissue massage therapy and decided to try this new technique to help with my overall health journey. I had a really great experience. Claire is always professional, but during this session she walked me through the process so I understood each step. She continually checked in to make sure I was comfortable, relaxed and was enjoying the treatment. The slim down massage focused on my stomach area and breaking down fat cells. It started with a stomach massage, which I wasn’t sure I would like, but it was very soothing and relaxing. Following the treatment I felt less bloated, more relaxed, and my stomach looked and felt flatter. Claire’s studio is clean, calm, and very welcoming.
Overall, it was a relaxing treatment and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to support their body contouring and wellness journey.
Yesterday at 1:00 I had a facial with Briana, and it was one of the best facials I’ve experienced at Massage Envy. She was extremely gentle and professional, and I appreciated her quiet, calming presence. There was no unnecessary talking, which made the entire treatment deeply relaxing. I left feeling refreshed and very pleased with the service. I will definitely be returning to see her again.

I had the pleasure of getting care from Eva at Burlingame! After moving to the bay area, it was difficult to find a scalp care spa place that was not in SF (I hate driving to the city). The Burlingame location was perfect! In a non busy area of Burlingame, had a lot of parking and car is safe lol. Anyway, I got a massage with my scalp treatment. I’ll skip review of the massage because I don’t consider this place a massage location. My scalp treatment was good, i did have to tell her to not scrape a certain area as much because it was a little sensitive. Anyway, she showed me my before and after lol and what a difference! Got my hair blowdryed- also not expecting a hair salon level expertise on blowdrying because I was only here for scalp treatment :)- as well. All in all a good experience for my money spent in an expensive location :)

Mia was phenomenal. She got really deep into my middle lower back which helped substantially in reducing tension and pain below my neck.

I had been going to Eva for about 15 years with excellent results for many issues and now her daughter, Emily, has taken over. Since it was an option, I saw her massage therapist, Zak, to see if I could resolve my dizziness and vertigo without needles. It has been very effective so far. But then my knee had been acting up and I needed acupuncture so I saw Emily. After the first treatment the pain was reduced noticeably. And it's continually getting better. Under their care, I have not needed an American doctor in years. As an added bonus, parking is easy here and it's right off the freeway.
Calvin has helped me with numerous issues. I go weekly to him now as it is the best way to improve my health that I've found. He understands acupuncture deeply and will describe where he's putting the needles and for what reason. I've had back pain, lots of stress, vertigo and many other issues recently and he has helped me manage all of those. After a recent visit related to vertigo, my brain fog cleared up and I felt like a new person. Since then my vertigo has gone away. Highly recommend visiting him if you have any issues or simply want to improve your stress levels. Best decision I have made yet.
I am so grateful for the driving lesson I had with Derrick. As an elder with low vision I was nervous ass it t had been decades since I'd taken a driving test. Derrick was easy to be with, reassuring and gave me some very good pointers about what to expect from the examiner. We drove to the area near the DMV and when he pointed out somethings that I could improve he did so with no judgment and with kindness. I passed and honestly I don't think I would've without Derrick's guidance.
(Foster City) Timothy is the best and affordable. I learned so much today and Tim teached me to be smart, safe, and defending driver. He also did the DMV mock test and we went over bike lane and he made me look over shoulder a lot and im very confident about changing lanes (SMOG). He helped me control the car much better and I feel more confident about steering control. He took me out on the freeway a little bit and overall I loved the way he teached. My grandman used to take lessons from him and she recommended me to him and I found his prices very affordable compared to other schools and Timothy is very professional and patient and now I understand what it is to be a smart and safe and defensive driver. I would definitely recommend friends and family to Timothy. Timothy you rock!
