Turabi and his team are highly skilled tailors of a caliber that is difficult to find. Most recently, I brought them a Gucci mohair suit to adjust a shoulder 4 days before my wedding. It’s a delicate fabric, shoulder alterations are among the most difficult, and to add to the challenge, they were correcting a mistake made by another tailor a few days prior (reputed suit maker in SF).
The team at Razarun immediately knew where the previous tailor went wrong, reconstructed the shoulder, lifted the back to improve the drape, and finished it all a day earlier than quoted. My suit now fits like it was made for me.
In any field, it is difficult to find someone this honest and skilled at their craft. I’ll never go to another tailor and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Madison is an excellent speech therapist and a wonderful person overall. She is super knowledgeable when it comes to non-minimally speaking children, AAC, GLP learners, and children with apraxia. My daughter always looks forward to her speech sessions, and that is a testament to the incredible staff at Spring Speech.

I have been seeing Dr. Nicole for almost 7 months now for chronic low back pain, and I couldn't be more satisfied. During our first session, she took the time to explain all the possibilities and causes of my pain, and we’ve been working consistently to manage it ever since.
What I appreciate most is her flexibility and expertise. Whenever I have urgent issues like neck or shoulder tension, she always finds a way to accommodate my schedule and provides immediate relief. Before finding her, I tried everything from massage to physical therapy, but nothing seemed to work long-term. Now, I feel so much more secure knowing I have her to rely on. She is always my first call whenever I have any discomfort!

My whole family has been going to Bay Area Martial Arts Academy for several years now and I have to say they are wonderful. So this review is definitely long overdue. Both my daughters have gained so much strength and discipline from the instructor (Mr Agoff). I love the life lessons he instills in them as well. The kids learn self defense, how to fall properly, stick work, different fighting forms, and the importance of training and hard work. They also work on strength and stamina and the belts are earned and not just given. Definitely lucky that we have this local gem so close to home. Also nice that my husband goes there too so the three of them can train together.
We recently had a chance to work with Star on a more consistent and robust basis taking on a portfolio with many elevators serviced by Star. Their team has been amazing with a five star customer service game, answering emails, calls and dispatching technicians to troubleshoot and address our every need. They've come through in the clutch, offering some possible solutions to remedy our vintage elevators. We're excited to see more of what the Star team is able to do for us in the future. My daughter has been doing jazz since she was 3 years old here and she loves it. All the teachers make the class fun and she met a lot of nice kids. She did the performance in June when she was 4 and it was so good. I highly recommend this dance place!
I am not a fan of working out and have a history of starting then stopping exercising. If the gym or exercise class is too far or requires me to get in my car to drive there, I always end up making an excuse. I've only ever been consistent when I hired a personal trainer to come to my door to work out. When my trainer moved onto another career gig, I never bothered to look for a replacement. I relayed this information when I first met Shannon, the owner of Gym Class. A friend had told me about it a while back and I had reached a point where I knew I needed to start exercising. My only goal when I started was to create a routine where I would consistently show up. With Shannon's support, I not only showed up every morning for the 7am workout, but I definitely got stronger. Shannon and Gen (another coach) are really good at gently pushing you, helping to make modifications, and keep you entertained while you're getting through your workout. They are also excellent at taking feedback or trying new things which you can really only do in a small gym setting.
Lastly, the thing I wasn't expecting at all was to meet some kick ass women in the gym class community who are also encouraging me to show up and reach my own goals. I literally came for the small group workout and have found a wonderful little network of women as an added bonus.
I was hesitant about where to go or who to choose as my hairstylist because I wanted someone who could tailor the experience to my hair and maintenance needs and James was the perfect hairstylist! He explained every step, what was going on with my hair, and shared helpful tips I can incorporate into my daily routine. Thank you, James! I can’t wait to come back again.

Melanie had been my stylist in the last 5 years since 2020 in Burlingame, and now in Salon Essence in Belmont. She takes time to listen to what I want, and never fails to execute my requested style. I would just have to let her know the basics and she takes it on accurately! Melanie’s haircuts lets my hair grow out beautifully without losing its shape. My hair color would usually get compliments, even if it was just an all over color!
Melanie would always formulate a color combination that goes well with my tone, or the season, and I did not have to ask for it!
The salon is always welcoming and properly kept, everyone is energetic and friendly, and it’s fun to walk in to see every season and holiday celebrated. Love the natural light and location too.
My conversations with Melanie are always deep and meaningful while she works on my hair, and I appreciate that.

Kent did an amazing job on my color and cut! My brunette hair color had turned orange plus I had grays growing out. He was able to get rid of all the warm tones and added highlights to help blend in grays once they grew out. I’m so happy I found Kent for my hair needs.

I normally don’t write reviews, but after reading the recent 1-star post, I felt I needed to share what I personally witnessed during that exact appointment. I was in the salon at the same time, and the description in that review does not match what happened.
The nail technician and owner showed nothing but patience, professionalism, and kindness. At no point did they “blame” the customer. The client had chosen regular polish, which naturally takes time to fully dry, but repeatedly pressed on her nails before they were set—causing the dents herself—while insisting she had to leave for work. The staff even went so far as to offer to walk her to her car to prevent smudging them further.

So we have had pedicures by the two men and they were very rough and caused us pain. This time we called ahead. Stated explicitly three or more times during the phone call that we would like the women to do our pedicures and explained why. Then I asked what time the two women had appts available. They told us 3pm. We arrived 2:45. All chairs were full. Which is fine. 3:15 we were invited to sit and soak. The water burned both our feet and they seemed shocked. Then they had a man (the rougher of the two) sit down to do my. Mom's pedicure. I immediately stopped him from starting. The lady tried to tell me I did not ask for the women when I called. This is absolutely untrue. She tried to tell this again and she said there were no notes to that affect on the calendar. I told her she didn't remember to write it down. Wondering if it is time to look elsewhere. Or only book online where apparently we can choose the person. Edit to four stars from one star We finally got the two ladies and a very nice pedicure.

This a long overdue review for my nail tech Trina. She is one of my best kept secrets, by far the best nail tech I’ve ever encountered. She has high attention to detail, a perfectionist, EFFICIENT, and a great person to talk to. My nails are literally always perfect, never lumpy, great retention, always finishes in an hour, and great prices. Sadly I’m moving and fear I will not find someone as good as her.

Not only is the ambience great, but the moment I walked in I was tended to. Every person that worked there was kind and gracious. When I explained I was going to a wedding and what color I wanted they suggest an ombre to soften the look and they were right. I felt like a valued guest and the prices were very fair compared to other spots. I highly recommend Eros as the place to go.

Highly recommended. My wife and I have been regulars at Grace Day Spa for nearly a year, and it has consistently been a highlight of our self-care routine. The space is always pristine, from the fresh linens to the calming atmosphere.
While every provider is professional and skilled, Kelly is my go-to. As someone who requires very firm pressure, our sessions have become truly therapeutic. She has developed a deep understanding of my physiology and knows exactly what’s needed to get my body back to 100% through incredibly deep tissue work and fascia manipulation.
A quick heads-up: the walls aren't floor-to-ceiling, so you can occasionally hear ambient noise from the hallway. However, it’s a minor trade-off and very typical for similar boutique spas in the mid-peninsula.
In terms of cost, prices are consistent with the area — not the lowest, but a great value given the quality. I have never had anything less than a stellar massage here, whereas other local spots can be hit or miss. If you want consistency, this is the place.
These guys ROCK! Have had my porcelain tile floor cleaned by others for 35 years. Was always disappointed on how poorly the cleaning turned out. They said the floor is old and this is the best they can do. Well....Peninsula Chem-Dry prooved otherwise. It was a matter of the spray down cleaning chem and proper rinsing and suction of the dirty floor water. Took out a new tile from box and matched to floor. Today the floor looks totally new!
We will be calling these guys every year!

After my bathroom radiant heat flooded my subfloor and walls, I had to rip everything out and rebuild after mold treatment. Other than dealing with insurance, finding a contractor that was fair, professional, and customer focused was the hardest part of the whole ordeal. Once I had Otto and his crew at OJ Tile in the game, everything changed from a stalled demo project into a getting things done bathroom rebuild.
Otto also had the connections and industry knowledge to help guide me through everything, while also perfectly accommodating my specific requests and steering me away from bad ideas. His workers and handymen were detail oriented, friendly, hard workers, and I’m now asking them for additional help with other projects around the property. Mark took the time to go deep into the details of the project he and his team would be doing on our way home. He gave us a very competitive bid to demo our concrete walkway, waterproof our foundation, and install pipes, a sump pump and french drains. We were very happy with the service and would happily use them again if we have any needs in the future.

Have been going here since I moved to the bay area. Speaking with friends, this is one of the most affordable copays, no nonsense places. Some doctors and people may not be to your liking so you can change. Today my hygienist was Joyce and she went above and beyond, taking time to ask questions, give good advice and make sure all teeth are properly taken care of! Thank you Joyce!

I heard about Doctor Jeff through connections in the Bay Area powerlifting community. People at my gym highly recommended him, and now so do I.
I worked with Jeff over a span of four months, six in-person visits in total. Jeff fixed two different weightlifting injuries--- a pec injury and an unrelated elbow issue. Jeff was great at listening to my descriptions of pain triggers, using hands-on tests to diagnose injuries, and teaching rehab exercises. He'd reassess with each visit and change my rehab exercises each week based on my progress. He also helped program my powerlifting training during the rehab process. We progressed my bench program from limited range of motion back to full strength full range of motion.
Jeff is great at fixing injuries, and he's also a good guy!
I really enjoyed working with Naz! She was incredibly helpful in my postpartum recovery. She provided me with great exercises that have strengthened everything I need to get back into running and other activities postpartum. I found her super knowledgeable about the pelvic floor and body kinetics in general. She really knows her stuff! I highly recommend seeing her for any pelvic floor concerns.
Ayane is an outstanding practitioner. She hones in on my physical needs and I walk out feeling like a new person. I walk taller and am able to use her observations and exercises to practice on my own. I have scoliosis and arthritis. Ayane has helped me gain symmetry and strength with proper form to work around my weak areas.
