I saw his advertisement on Instagram and thought let give it a try. I'm so happy I settled on Ace. After a few interviews with other roofers, they did everything right, right from the initial inspection, findings, recommendations (chimney was crumbling) and pricing. He took a lot of photos of what they saw needed done up there. The crew did the recovering, etc. in a couple days and did an excellent job. The installed more efficient gutters, and when torrential storms came about 5 months later and water backed up and came inside a wall, causing bubbles under paint in bathroom, they came right over a day later and added one more drainpipe to gutter on each side, letting it drain faster in a deluge. No charge! Excellent, professional, local company. At least have them come to inspect your place to compare with other outfits. I think Teddy did the inspection here.

During the great rains of 2023 Noah and his team came through for me. He was professional, communicative and patient. He came on time for his estimate. He took photos and showed the current state of my roof. He explained the materials and process they used. He coordinated with my solar manufacturer. As it was raining off and on throughout March he closely watched the weather and picked a date that he and the Solar company could work. The roof is beautiful. He even built up two of our skylights so they are higher up using redwood. Highly recommended. Some other roofers were about 10k more, were less responsive, or wanted me to pay to do an estimate. While I normally pay more for peace of mind, in this case I'm glad I used Cal State.Even when an issue came up of a fence that was damaged during the install, without a question about who did what they repaired and repainted it, and now its better than new!

Handled all permit work and passed at first try. Sam Park (owner) is very knowledgable and honest. Made suggestions for improvement, fixed all dry root issues. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Had a couple of issues at my parent's home and James resolved both. Their dryer was continuously increasing time for each load of laundry, James saw that a mesh filter was incorrectly added to the vent, which was trapping lint. He removed the mesh filter and the problem was solved! Also, their forced air unit was noisy and struggling to get heat out. A simple filter change fixed the problem.

Fantastic experience working with this company: from the office staff and customer service, to the techs in the field, so glad I found them after months of being jerked around by others. No gouging with these guys (other companies had proposed drastically more work for thousands more), just an honest assessment, great communication and explanation (I even pushed back to make sure more work didn't need to be done, and received a thoughtful and detailed explanation justifying the work plan). They got me into the schedule promptly, work was executed in a timely manner, and all my correspondence with both the office reps and the guys in the field that I worked with, was both professional, and personable. In the nine months since Armando's careful work, I haven't seen a bug, roach, or rodent. Nine months! To tell the story: I rent in a nice old wooden building in the Castro. A new management company took over on January 1. My first request was for exterminator help. I'd found a mouse hole under the kitchen sink, which their handyman quickly covered with a 2x4. Bugs large and small remained. On January 15, Marina Pest Control arrived. Armando, a 20-year veteran, uniformed and carrying two tackle boxes, spent almost 90 minutes with me. He searched in and under everything in the kitchen and bathroom. He baited and set a dozen mouse traps ("three in one place gets their attention"), attached glue strips to likely surfaces, and squeezed pea-sized dabs of bug poison onto bug travel routes. Armando found water collecting under a counter, which was mine to fix. We walked downstairs to find points of entry in the garage and storage areas, possible nesting places in the garden, and he checked the inspection dates of another firm's work at an adjoining restaurant. Armando was meticulous, un-judging, charming and eagle-eyed. Since that day nine months ago, bugs haven't returned. Cause for celebration. Thank you, Marina Pest Control!

Dr. Zhu is kind and highly skilled acupuncturist. She was able to relieve some of my knee pain. Both of my knees are level 4 bone on bone so you might think, how could acupuncture help? The needles and electricity helped circulation. Dr. Zhu would also preform cupping on my knees. It was a "no pain, no gain" type of pain. My treatments would last 2 weeks. I was able to postpone my double knee replacement surgery due to relief provided!!!Highly recommend trying this office. My insurance covered with only a $15 copay. Office assistant verified my insurance coverage, so no guessing.I am moving out of state and will definitely miss my biweekly appointments with Dr. Zhu!!

I have had the privilege of having Dr. Ron Desmarais as my chiropractor for over 20 years. Because of preventative care from Dr. Desmarais during my pregnancy, I went full-term with twins with no back issues and no swelling (being less than 5' 2" and 37 years old). Prior to pregnancy, I took a bad fall where I was on my back for two weeks. With support from Dr. Desmarais, I healed completely. I also had a car accident where I experienced whiplash. Again, Dr Desmarais worked with me over a few months to bring me back to health. Over the years I have referred more than a dozen family members and friends with every single one having had a great experience and always thanking me profusely. I can confidently say you are in great hands with Dr. Ron Desmarais.

I went to see Dr. Ressler after my niece begged me see him just before I was scheduled for back surgery at Kaiser. He asked me questions regarding any previous fall in the past and explained that the fall caused misalignment in my spine. The regular doctor Never asked about my history nor shared X-rays. Dr. Ressler showed me the X-rays and pointed out the cause of the injury. I decided to cancel the surgery and, instead, receive chiropractic treatments from Dr. Ressler. It was not a short recovery but when I did, I was taking Zumba classes! Prior to his treatment I needed a cane to walk and could not even bend over to touch my knees. I highly recommend Dr. Ressler, a miracle worker!
Dr. Patrick is a very effective chiropractor. I am over 60 years old and have visited many chiropractors in my lifetime. Sadly, my own father who was just an old farmer, and self employed home remodeler while having no formal training was a better chiropractor than almost all of those I visited around the Bay Area. This was because my mother had life long posture related and genetic osteo problems and we thru the years had to help her when we could not afford professional services. Why mention all this? Simply to state that Dr. Patrick is not one of the run of the mill, "Want to see you weekly for the rest of your life back docs" but a real help when you need his expertise. I have utilized his services now off and on for more than 10 years, and he has never pressured me to come in, just saying, "Call me when you need me!"Dr. Patrick is now a good friend who helps me manage my back related issues effectively.

I was visiting family in NorCal and realized I didn't bring enough contact lenses to last my trip. My prescription was also expired so I wasn't able to purchase more contacts. But luckily I was able to make a SAME day appointment at SFO Family Eye care Optometry inside Costco! The exam was quick and easy and getting my prescription was a breeze. Since I didn't have enough contacts, the doctor was able to give me some trial lens to last my trip. I also picked up a $5 chicken on my way out. It was a win win situation. Faig! He is a true professional in his field and a master of years of experience. I gave him a call, we schedule an appointment for a diagnostic on my LG washer, which was coming up error code: LE. Faig knew what the issue was: the stator. Needed to be swapped out and replaced new. Luckily my washer was still under 10yr warranty with LG for the Drive/ Motor. I spoke to LG customer service got all the paper work squared away and the part was sent to Faig to have the motor replaced. He came out right away to replace the motor and he got my washer up and running. It was worth the 2 weeks of waiting, rather than paying for a new washer. Faig is a problem solver and a true professional.
