Having Progressive come to place a reinforced pad for a silo was a seamless experience. The first time meeting Beau when he came to do a site inspection, I knew this job was going to go well. He immediately offered suggestions to improve upon the plans we already had to help with the particular sub surface on our property. He and his crew were also able to adapt to changes that I requested (before the pour of course). All in all, Beau and his crew will be the only concrete contractors that I call on for any of my projects. Highly recommend!

We purchased our house a year ago and have been enjoying our radiant floors. One day during the cold snap, we noticed that the floors weren't emitting any heat. AB Tech was recommended by a friend of ours so I called Bruce and explained the situation. Good news/bad news: it was a Friday and he was in the middle of a big job and couldn't come until Monday. Then an hour later, he called to say he was breaking away from the big job to come look. He noted that the boiler wasn't serviced in a while and the pilot needed replacing. He spent a couple hours on this when I know he had to get back to the big job, but he was committed. He just came back today to finish the service. I'm grateful to Bruce and his crew for taking the time to help us. It would have been a cold weekend.

This company has just completed our kitchen counter tops (Island and Sink) with Quartz. I can honestly say I have never experienced such an amazing group of people who did the work for us. Our contractor, Billy Boyes (Boyes Contracting) was the one who introduced us to Spectrum Stone to check out the quartz designs. The workers were professional , respectful and definitely had full knowledge of what they were doing. I have never experienced such a hard working crew. They had to put in some over time and they did it willingly and without a whimper. They went over and above their duties and I want to thank them for all the work they did. Billy Boyes came so well and highly recommended (and he too did not disappoint) and the entire job has been a wonderful success. I have been there many times in the past ten years, and I feel more and more confident that I can leave all my car problems to them. The boss is very kind. He explains the problem clearly every time and proposes the most affordable solution. This time, the exhaust pipe of the car was damaged. A nearby repair shop quoted $2,500. I thought it would be safer to go to MTTM. Sure enough, after going there, the boss explained in detail: which part needs to be replaced, how much the manufacturer's quotation for this part is, the other part is damaged but does not need to be replaced, they can repair it, and how much they charge for labor. In the end, the problem was solved for less than $200. Highly recommended, this is a repair shop with great skills and integrity.

I recently had a fantastic experience at the Mophead, and I wanted to give a special shoutout to my stylist, Yu. I opted for the wash and long haircut service, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From the moment I walked in, everyone was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The staff even asked if I needed something to drink, which was a nice touch!
Yu was absolutely amazing—she put so much effort into transforming my 2-year growth of long hair into a neat, clean, and stylish look, all in just an hour! Her attention to detail and care throughout the process made the experience enjoyable, and I’m really grateful for her hard work.

After my most recent haircut experience ending with me sobbing my eyes out in my bathroom, I was absolutely blown away by the skills, kindness, and education that Juby showed me while helping me achieve the hair of my dreams!
Not only was he extremely communicative and patient, but he took his time to understand exactly what I desired and, throughout the appointment, educated me on my hair's texture and needs.
As an autistic person, I get extremely nervous when getting haircuts. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they use extremely quiet hairdryers, and they even brought me tea, which eased my nerves. ♡
Overall, this was one of the best hair salon experiences I've had in a very long time, and I look forward to coming back to Juby for my next hair adventure!

I’ll try to base my review on others because this place was recommended by a few friends. This was my first time at any barber shop because I didn’t have time to book an appointment with my normal person, I had an unexpected day off and really wanted a haircut. Well, I suppose it’s normal for a barbershop but I’ve never been in so much pain getting a cut before. The back of my head/neck was so red I was surprised it wasn’t bleeding as the guy went fast and rough. He actively tried to not give a complete haircut as he didn’t even bring out scissors until I saw he was trying to finish up and then requested he do so. I understand they are busy and speed is the name of the game. The most astonishing thing to me is men pay $30+ for 13min (I asked around and this is normal). But, like I said, this place was recommended to me by more than 1 person. They are clearly very popular and they are quite welcoming upon entry to myself and to all who came in even though they’re so busy. I’m clearly not a barbershop type of guy.

Heisman Barbers is my go to for a professional cut. They know the lastest styles nothing they cant facilitate. Sal's attention to detail and consistency keeps me coming back every week. Recently I have taken my 3 year old son and his gentle approach and fresh styles has my son leaving happy and confident he enjoys coming back.
The shop itself is very welcoming, it's decor is top notch and fun.

I’ve been coming here for the past year, and I usually go to Veronica for my nails. However, since she is currently on mat leave, I had Suzy do my nails instead. She was so good!! I was very impressed by not only her customer service, but also her skill set in providing nail care. She gave great advise when I was choosing colours based on what type of nail style I wanted to get. She was incredibly meticulous in making sure every single step was done to perfection. I’ve now added Suzy to my list of go-to’s next time I come back for nail service :)

I have been coming to Nicole regularly for shellac manicures for more than a year now, she's always taken extra care to do a quality job on the nails and it really shows. I've been to many nail salons, a lot of them just find all sorts of ways to get as much money out of you as possible and from they way they provide service they can't wait to get you out the door to get the next client. With Nicole she's not like that at all, I can tell she takes pride in what she does. My nails last a long time if I'm not aggressive with them while cleaning etc. I also really enjoy chatting with her, she's very sweet and has a good heart. The nail salon is very petite and modest, but if you care about getting good value for good results more than anything then it's more than worth a try!
Update in 2024: Back here after moving back to Van and Iris does it again. She is amazing! I’ve been to many nail salons (both Japanese and North American techniques) in Toronto downtown and Calgary and nothing beats her skill. These are the only nails that will stay on 2+ months. Not to mention the best customer service. Can’t recommend more highly enough!

The techs were so nice, lively, and professional. Girl KNEW what she was doing and I appreciate that. I’m from the states, but getting my nails done over here was way more affordable! Paid $55 CAD for a full set, plus tip of course! She did exactly what I wanted. 10/10 best nail salon I’ve ever been to.
The experience at Nibeauty was exceptional! Despite us arriving there 20 minutes late, the beauticians were incredibly understanding and professional. They completed our head/scalp spa treatment with great patience, the essential oils and hair products they used were top-notch. Ire did such a wonderful job with my hair - both the cut and the colour. At each step, she explained things very thoroughly and always made sure I was happy with the direction before continuing. She was very knowledgeable with colouring; she explained how the coloured hair would look now, in the future, and how it would work on your own hair. It wasn't one of those salons where you show them the photo, they do it, and off you go - Ire explains how that colour would work for you specifically. And because seemed so knowledgeable and genuine, she made the whole process so comfortable. I trusted her judgement and my hair turned out so well! Really recommended!!

I've been visiting Bellatudo since it opened and it is hands-down THE BEST nail salon in Vancouver. Nancy and her team are so thorough and the manicures/pedicures literally last a full month. Not only do I save time by having less frequent visits, but I also end up spending less money throughout the year on manicures/pedicures. This salon is also super good at intricate nail art and designs— both Nancy and Belle are expert level. I've had so many compliments on my nails and referred so many people to them. My mom also goes to Bellatudo and loves it. We both have the strongest nails we've had in years and the 30-day Manicure stopped me biting my nails completely. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed. I've also done the lash lift from Nancy and I couldn't believe how great it looked; lasted a good 3-4 weeks too!

Without a recommendation I may not have considered Reviva as it is a nondescript clinic in an older building, but I was very pleased with my experience and with the results. The staff were friendly, professional and customer-oriented, both over the phone and in person, and I found Dr. Ngai to be comfortable and trustworthy.
A beautiful and clean space with lots of parking out front. I did a signature facial with Christin and enjoyed it start to finish. They also provide you with a complimentary drink at the end which is a nice bonus after your session. Would recommend to anyone!
Absolutely loved my experience at Greenfield Spa! The environment is clean, calming, and beautifully set up — from the soothing music to the relaxing aromatherapy scents. I had a meridian massage and the therapist was incredibly professional, with just the right amount of pressure. I felt so much lighter and more refreshed afterwards. OMG, Lillian was just wonderful! I went in for a lower leg wax and she instantly made me feel totally welcomed and comfy. The room itself was dimly lit, super clean, and cutely decorated with all those pretty Himalayan salt rocks.

I've been to Allranell a few times, mostly because I received a gift certificate from a friend. I haven't had their pedicures but I've heard from knowledgeable sources that they do one of the best pedicures around. I have had waxing done and I absolutely recommend their waxing services. I never felt overly self-conscious, especially considering the area I was having waxed. They were very good about making me feel comfortable and that I didn't feel any unnecessary pain. Also, throughout the experience, I never felt any pressure to buy products of any kind from them. My only complaint is that occasionally, it seems reception isn't quite sure what they're doing and/or they're not sure how long to book appointments for, as they seem to run late-ish.
My kids bought me the rejuvenate retreat for last year's mothers day.

Got referred by my friend, I have been with this spa for since few years before covid. Their environment is clean, neat and nice so you can be worry free when being in there. Strongly recommend Nancy with her skillful hands for any service! She is just amazing with alot of massage knowledge. Others like Amy & Cherry & Ruby are all very good too. I learned alot about body maintainence or facial routine from them too. Therefore, anyone in there is well trained and you will for sure satisfy for your time in there!
Had a great massage here! Fell asleep during it. Masseuse listened to my issues and put the right pressure for me. Very clean space. I could hear the washroom down the hall which was a bit weird, but overall a pleasant experience.

My one and only complaint would be, when we went back to pay for our parking, it came to over $60! For 2.5hrs. My friend and I freaked out. There needs to be parking validation for people going to the spa or at least a discount. We sadly won't be back just due to the parking situation. Was not worth it.

I had a lovely experience with Alison at Love Team who did my hair and makeup for my wedding day. No trial. It was really easy connecting with her prior and sharing my inspiration for my bridal look. She understood what I was going for immediately and I appreciated how she checked in throughout the makeup process to ensure I loved the look. I was so happy with how it turned out and it looked beautiful in the natural light and photos. I also got my maid of honour's makeup done by her assistant, and she looked fabulous as well. I appreciated the touch up kit, which was helpful when I needed to reapply lipstick and re-powder. So so happy and I'll cherish this for a very long time :)

Charge was $300 +; steep, but slightly lower than others.
Thanks to other reviewers’ input, I could find a reliable, reasonable, local and smaller scale company to do this work.

This is my second or third experience with Westrim and this company does not disappoint! Jared came by and fixed a minor leak most expeditiously - and even had enough time left to re-spray the galvanized piping. Double checked all appliances and reconfirmed all items before leaving the premises, with a very reasonable rate to boot. Will definitely get another call from me when it's time for annual boiler maintenance. You are in good hand with Westrim!
I was very satisfied with my technician Bali's service. He provided several choices for me with the cost of each. He was courteous and worked quickly.
Yesterday evening (Oct 28.25) we discovered that our furnace was not providing warm air although the fan was functioning. As an Ashton Advantage Protection Plan subscriber I contacted the emergency number and scheduled a service call for later in the evening.
Although on another call, the Service Technician (I believe his name is 'Japn') estimated and achieved an arrival time and proceeded to rectify the problem quickly, efficiently and courteously.
I trust that this 'gold star' service will be recognized by the Ashton Group!

Like some of you, I checked online to see who could accommodate my particular conundrum. Looking at the wall of key blanks, I hoped they may have one that would fit a deadbolt mounted in the 80's. Not only did Amy find my key blank but was able to cut it in moments. Yes! It fit and works incredibly! $12 dollars and change, I was on my way with 2 keys in hand

The folks at Tile Town are soooo helpful! I went in just to look at a few tiles for a job I had coming up and they gave me a ton on awesome info. Then they suggested I take the Schluter two day course. I went to the Schluter website and sure enough there was a two day course I could go to in a couple of weeks. I went and I would highly recommend going if you are into doing tiles. Next I was stuck trying to find a specific Schluter profile. I phoned Tile Town Richmond store and they could get what I need by the next day! These people really know their stuff and are willing to help. If you have questions about tiles, tiling or Schluter product you shouldn't go anywhere else. Thanks.

We hired Reno Stars to do our bathroom renovation in our condo. Their pricing was competitive to others we received and we wanted to support a local business. We proceeded with hiring Ryan and his team to do the project. They were incredibly professional and even with material delays of over a week which were out of their control they were able to complete the project on budget and on time. The tile work we had done is SPECTACULAR and worth every dollar. They did everything to our specifications and when we had feedback on small concerns they were addressed immediately. We also had them install a dishwasher in our kitchen at the same time and that was done perfectly. We would recommend them to anyone looking to do a renovation in the Lower Mainland. We will definitely be contacting them for any upcoming projects we may undertake.

We purchased our house a year ago and have been enjoying our radiant floors. One day during the cold snap, we noticed that the floors weren't emitting any heat. AB Tech was recommended by a friend of ours so I called Bruce and explained the situation. Good news/bad news: it was a Friday and he was in the middle of a big job and couldn't come until Monday. Then an hour later, he called to say he was breaking away from the big job to come look. He noted that the boiler wasn't serviced in a while and the pilot needed replacing. He spent a couple hours on this when I know he had to get back to the big job, but he was committed. He just came back today to finish the service. I'm grateful to Bruce and his crew for taking the time to help us. It would have been a cold weekend.
We purchased a kitchen from this store some 8 years ago and have been enjoying it ever since. Lately two of our door hinges have lost their soft close ability, so we have contacted the store if they can help us order new ones. Although the hinges were discontinued, they have contacted the manufacturer and were able to order them for us. Working with Eileen, the store Principal, was a pleasure. I began bringing my kids to Dr. Bonnie around the age of 4 and 5. I was noticing my son would run into walls a lot (resulting in huge welts right on his forehead) and originally just thought it was clumsiness. Some further research showed that some Chiropractic adjustments could actually help reduce these kinds of trips/falls and I was happy to find Dr. Bonnie as I felt very comfortable with her treating my children. She thoroughly assessed my kids, and noted that he had one leg longer than the other (which means he was probably tripping over himself, literally, all this time)! We met with her just for several sessions where she re-aligned him and we have not had issues since! My kids are now 9 and 10, and we schedule to see her anytime the kids have bigger-than-usual falls or trip ups, so we usually schedule an appointment for times when we have noticed the kids playing a little more rough on the soccer field or more falls in gymnastics, just to get them realigned. We are so grateful for how she's always so thorough each session and Seema, the receptionist is also very welcoming and friendly! They always give my kiddos a treat when we leave, which of course, the kids love.

We thoroughly commend the staff and doctors at Richmond Animal Hospital for their compassion and hard work. They have been vital in developing a treatment plan for our medically complex cat, including diagnosing her rare disease when other clinics could not figure it out. They were even able to make time to provide advice over the phone when we had spontaneous questions about her healthcare, which is really amazing and allowed us to make more informed decisions. Everyone we met with have been very patient and kind and we truly appreciate the care they showed.
I have had many pets throughout my last 24 years including dogs, bunnies, guinea pigs, hamsters and gerbils. Hence, I have many experiences seeing different vets for the last 24 years. Fortunately We were recommended by one of our dog’s training classmates about 9 years ago to Dr Chaudhry, we had been staying with Dr Chaudhry since then. He is the only vet we would go to for our family pets and we also recommend him to many of our canine training schoolmates as well. Unlike many other vets which we had tried before, Dr Chaudhry is very caring, skillful and knowledgable. To us, our pets are our family, we love them like they are our kids and we would only provide them with the best we can. We always get very informative advises from Dr Chaudhry and we feel his love & caring to our pets. His pricing is very reasonable as well. But to be honest, I would definitely choose a vet with care & love for my pets over prices. I would not want someone who just wants to make money but do not care if my pets are suffering or not. I have seen many others are like that, but Dr Chaudhry is def not one of those. We are lucky that we have finally found the one vet who actually cares and skillful! Thanks so much Dr Chaudhry!

I started going to Past Tense when we first moved to Steveston about nine years ago. I've received treatments from a few different RMTs, they've all been excellent, but for the past many many years I've only been booking with Carina. I was sorry to have to leave the RMT I had been seeing before moving to Richmond, but Carina is excellent and made me glad I had to move - she is the best! I feel like brand new with every treatment. The location is wonderful and the place is cozy, charming, and calming.

I have been a patient of Dr Jeff since his days on No 5 Road and Steveston. Even though his new location on Cambie road is not as close to me as his previous location, I’m glad he is at least still in Richmond. Dr Jeff takes the time to listen. He doesn’t just treat your symptoms he tries to get to the root cause of the symptoms and treat that. He is always professional and his assistants Jessica and Nicole are the best. They are always quick to respond by email or phone. Dr Jeff also treats my mom and my brother and they report real improvements in clarity and overall health.

Wow, this was one of the best massages I've ever had! I know that sounds like an exaggeration, but it's been tough to find a massage place that does deep tissue work with this much commitment. I love it when the masseur is very hands-on and gives it their all. Usually, I'm not sure if I feel any better after a massage, but this place really helped. They did an awesome deep massage that made my stiff shoulders and neck feel very relaxed. I'll definitely go back and I highly recommend them if you've been frustrated by other lacklustre experiences.
I enjoy a good strong massage. I came in with a sprained ankle and he used natural oils for pain relief and I received an excellent foot and ankle massage. Super professional and excellent. My shoulder massage was done so well that I didn't feel shoulder or neck pain walking out! David was great ❤️.

I took a few lessons with Mike before my road test. He took me on different test routes and was very patient throughout. During the lessons, he gave me useful tips on what to expect on the road test as well as general driving advice. His parking advice for parallel parking, and especially reverse parking really helped me leading up to my road test. He is also a very funny and talkative guy, which not only made lessons more enjoyable, but also helped me practice talking while driving. Overall, I enjoyed my learning experience with Mike and have recommended him to my parents, who will most likely get my younger siblings learn from him as well in a couple years’ time.
I just passed my Class 5 road test and I couldn’t have done it without the amazing help and support from my instructor, Nicholas ??. He was patient, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. Every lesson with him was clear, structured, and full of useful tips that really helped boost my confidence behind the wheel.
