I can’t say enough about the excellent service provided by Carl and Cale in replacing the Poly-B waterlines in our home. Carl R is a very detailed and diligent plumber with a remarkable ability to carefully analyze the existing waterline infrastructure and come up with very creative solutions, saving us a lot of expense for drywall and tile repairs. And he explains everything that he feels needs to be done.
Their extensive cleanup was very appreciated.

What a wonderful experience we've just had! We finally made the uncomfortable, rather embarrassing (to us) decision to bring someone in to help us with tasks around our condo. We both have physical limitations that have resulted in the housework getting away from us.A quick reply to my first inquiring email, and a very sympathetic, understanding and non-judgmental phonecall later and we were setup for the first visit.Oh my!! The first visit was awesome. The young lady who came did more in two hours than I can do in two weeks. She had swept and washed all our floors, stripped and remade the beds, taken all the accumulated garbage and recycling out, and I can't remember what else.To say we are "happy" with the service is a severe understatement. We would cheerfully recommend Emerald Maid Service to family, friends, and strangers.
Drew and his crew at Starke Contracting LTD were great to deal with. They were professional, punctual, and most of all, they were personable. Drew met with us to discuss our project (remodelling a shed, and building our dream deck), and not only was he able to turn our ideas into a physical reality, he added some beautiful touches of his own. We are very pleased the outcome! Owner was professional from start to finish. He was very responsive as we added on a small amount after the original quote and it was no problem. He and his team did all the drywall repairs and painting. We asked him to come back for some small touch ups in the evening and it was done by 9:30 the next morning. He explained the quality of the paint, helped with colour choices and cleaned up all through the process. Price was fair and the quality of the work shows. Wow, went in for a scalp treatment and came out feeling like a new person! 10 out of 10 for, service, treatment, ambiance and result. Erin, the certified hair practitioner explained each step of the process along the way, showing me realtime images of my scalp revealing all the imperfections. I learned a lot about hair, how it grows (or doesn't) and had a few Aha moments too. Once my scalp and hair treatments were finished (including a fabulous scalp massage, shampoo, conditioner and blow dry etc), I was shown the before and after pictures using a microscope on my scalp. What an amazing transformation. I'll definitely be recommending this much needed service to family and friends and booking again for myself to continue the care and attention my scalp needs to produce a great head of hair. I felt an instant calm the moment I walked into Elements, with it's relaxing decor and warm, friendly staff. I was treated with an herbal tea while I waited for my hot stone massage (which I have never had before). Mila was amazing and she could totally read my body. Recently suffering from an injury, I feel (2 weeks later) completely realigned, my body hasn't felt this good in years. Raving about the whole experience would be an understatement. I had the loveliest afternoon at Rozis day spa. She was so kind, warm and welcoming from the moment she greeted me at the door. She has a beautiful and clean private space in her home. So incredibly impressed with Jordan and his team! Came home yesterday to our hot water tank leaking, and Jordan FaceTimed with me to show me how to turn it off - as well as got me in touch with Jason at PuroClean right away so we could start the drying process. Jordan + team came the very next day to remove the old tank and install the new one, and discovered we also had a pressure issue that might have contributed to the leak. A call to Twin Peaks for a second opinion, and wanting to find a trust worthy company I could build a long-term relationship with in Nanaimo, to have a look at my heatpump AFTER another W Van Is company said reason for on/off of our ac was I had numerous leaks on the coil in crawl space, and it was going to cost what would have been a almost 7gs repair!!?? 1st company had sent 2 different people 10days apart to diagnos!? my gut was telling me something fishy(scam) was going on.
Twin Peaks sent their tech Tom over, diagnosis was done on the spot in less than a couple hrs, ZERO LEAKS, NONE!!
Tom's professionalism shows and he kept me informed as he went along (unlike 1st company)
Issue was found, and traced to the interior txv and I was told a very reasonable cost for repairs before he left.
I booked the repairs with Twin Peaks and Tom returned to complete the job when the part arrived.
We are very pleased with Tom and Twin Peaks and would fully recommend them for any work that this company could do for a home owner! 5 plus ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

We were renovating our master bath and bedroom and used Den Mar Electric. Wiring for seven light sconces, several new switches, updated USB-C plugs and wiring for a heated towel rack were required. Ben and Al did a fantastic job. The re-wiring through the attic and into the walls was expertly done.
We were particularly impressed with Al's attention to detail and valuable insight into where to position things and why. Al was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, always let us know when he was coming and always cleaned up afterwards. Simply put, Al was amazing.

I recommend this company to clean stair carpets. They communicated really well leading up to the appointment and did a great job on ours. They did require a water outlet on the outside so it was lucky that we had one easily available. Would have been good to check that beforehand so they could prepare. Had Dan install new hardwood flooring throughout our home. Dan is a true craftsman, no store bought add ons but everything was custom made from the flooring to match. Not only was Dan amazing at his craft but he is a really nice guy, someone you don’t mind having in your home ;-) we will be doing our upstairs in the spring and Dan will definitely be back for that!!

Abba Floorcoverings supplied and provided install of the wall tile, in-floor heating and laminate flooring in our sunroom project. Sarah was very helpful on sales, as was another receptionist that I'm sorry can't recall her name, their installers Murray (laminate) and Shea (tile and heated floors) did a very high-quality job on the install. I was able to borrow multiple samples overnight without fuss and the pricing was good. Thanks for being an important part of our sunroom project.

We hired Smart Site to do interior work on a house. In addition Andrew discovered there wasn't enough insulation in the attic and it was causing our roofs to fail prematurely. We had put in 3 roofs in 23 years. Not a good record for a roof. Yet the previous roofers never sorted out the problem. This job did not benefit Smart Site. The job was for another roofer. Andrew cares. He was helping us out as homeowners, not just looking out for himself and what money he could make. Another company quoted us over $15,000 to do what Andrew did for $5000. He recommended a realtor for us that was excellent and coordinated with the realtor. The house sold within a month during a pandemic. It doesn't get much better than that. We highly recommend Andrew. A most trustworthy guy. A good communicator. Great guy. 5 stars are not enough for this guy. He is the best!!!!

We had a water claim due to a hot water tank failure. Water damaged the floor in our basement that required the replacement of the entire floor. We've already arranged for Island Eco-Scapes to do regular upkeep through the summer and fall and I'm pretty sure we'll be talking to him about a few special projects. My husband and I are seniors with health issues and it's such a relief to just turn it all over to Island

Strain Landscaping has provided multiple services in our backyard renovation. They created a patio with drainage, levelled a large sloped yard into two sections - a large lawn with landscaping beds and a garden with raised beds, and installed irrigation for the whole yard. So glad I reached out to Eucalyptus Tree Service they were flexible, available, courteous, acted professionally and safely. I needed the job done quickly and Ivan made it happen. Took the time on short notice to drive out the next day to evaluate the job and provide me a quote. Ivan was on time, friendly took the time to explain everything that needed to be done and even with the urgency of the job his quote was very reasonable .I asked if I could get the job done the next day and he said he would make it work and he would call me later that day. Shortly after Ivan called and had an opening the next day and then surprised me with a lower quote. I was ecstatic and the guys arrived the next day and did a great job safely and professionally removed the big hedge and cleaned all the debris. We had the best experience with Flex tree service today. A pine came down in our yard as a result of today’s wind. I contacted Spencer and he was able to come and take care of it from its precarious position. He also felled numerous other dead trees and a few likely to come down due to the “flag” top. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable arborist who responds promptly to inquiries, shows up on time as scheduled, and performs the work quickly, safely, and neatly, we highly recommend Brett and his associate Joe. We watched them take down our very tall, dead Douglas fir with precision and without compromising each other’s safety or any of the other trees and plantings in our front yard. We hope we never lose another tree, but if we do, we’ll be calling Holly Wood Tree Co.

Dr. Sertic and Dr. Simmons are hands down best dentist I’ve seen. They are very understanding, caring, and accommodating. I have a phobia due to past experiences with other dentist’s and they have laid that to rest. I no longer go in full of anxiety and worry.

I've been seeing Dr. Glen at The Wellhouse for the past 2 years, and I can't recommend the practice enough. I initially came to them due to old injuries that finally caught up with me. I was experiencing chest pain that felt like a heart attack, along with hip problems, lower back pain, shoulder pain, and neck discomfort.
Dr. Glen took the time to thoroughly examine me and discovered that one of my vertebrae in my back was missing a piece, which was pinching a nerve and causing my chest pain. Thanks to their care, I've learned so much about my body and my health. I can honestly say I haven't felt this good since I was a child.

I’m a doordash driver and as such I get kinks in my legs from driving in the seated position for too long. I’ve been a courier for years. Add to that my age, 52, and the fact that earlier in the year I overdid it by joining an Ultimate Frizbee league and severely damaged my calves…so, as a gig worker i don’t have extended benefits nor a lot of extra cash lying around…I read the positive reviews for Pin’s Thai Massage (and I live minutes away). I decided to give it a try. I was a little bit apprehensive at first. We’ve all heard about the quality of massage parlours in shady alleyways.My experience was amazing. Pin is an elderly Thai lady who is planning to retire and move back to Thailand in a couple of years. She is completely professional and not at all inappropriate. I called her number and made an appointment same day. I knocked and Pin let me in. $65/hour. She asked my to take off my clothes except for my underwear. I came wearing shorts so I just removed my t-shirt and lay down. I’ll be honest…she’s strong and really dug into my damaged calves. It was wonderful and painful. I felt safe and wonderful. I highly recommend that you call and book a massage before Pin retires and moves away.

I had been dealing with sharp pain in my lower back for about 3 weeks, and no amount of rest, stretching, or pain killers was relieving it, in fact it was getting worse, extending into my glute and leg. I also have been dealing with my hands falling asleep at night for several months. After one acupuncture treatment this week, both the lower back pain and hands falling asleep have been resolved, immediately. My body is feeling free of pain at this moment.
