Our family took the non conventional route and opted to do a tear down. Meeting with numerous builders and viewing endless model homes in the DMV area, we went with Anchor Homes for their craftsmanship and spacious floor plans. The team has exceeded our expectations on every level. We had limitations with an RPA but was able to overcome the challenges with the help of the builder. We appreciated their consistency, efficiency, and flexibility during the planning and building process. Like any major project, we had minor obstacles along the way and Anchor Homes ensured there was dialogue/options to reach a resolution. Having gone through the home building process, we would highly recommend Anchor Homes and would do it all over again with them with no reservation.

We added onto our 1938 Cape Cod style house in Arlington, Virginia to accommodate a three generation family of five. Winn Design did a great job incorporating the requests from all of us. For Gramma, me, there is a lovely first floor suite with a wide ADA compliant hall and a private bathroom. For my son and his wife there is a new bedroom with beautiful skylights and a master bath bath on the second floor and an art studio with lots of light in the basement. For the tween and teen granddaughters there are bedrooms for each of them and they only need to share a bath. For all of us there is now a large comfortable screened porch right off the kitchen. Everyone we worked with at Winn was pleasant and capable. The onsite supervisor kept us informed every work day by text and photographs about the progress being made and what to expect next. I couldn't be happier with our "new" house.

My 5 stars is only about the stylists, not colorists. I have been getting my hair cut at this salon for almost 10 years. My current stylist is Alexis Kim and she is wonderful. It really comes down to the details. Most stylists can generally do a good haircut, but Alexis points out where a slight change could make a big difference. She has suggested areas to grow out and areas not to layer towards the front where hair is thinner. And she always listens to my concerns and what I like and don’t like. And she’s just a lovely person in general.I used to do color here, too, but stopped for some of the reasons other reviewers mentioned. The last time I did a color there it was a touch up of the roots that had grown out about 1 inch. Instead of black like the rest of my hair it came out a dark brown, then within a couple weeks faded to like a medium reddish brown. They couldn’t get me in right away for a fix so by the time I got back in, I had mostly black hair, a medium red-brown stripe, then roots even lighter. The 3 distinct stripes made me look ridiculous and it was embarrassing. What was worse, when I got back to the salon, they still gave me a hard time and had a manager get involved. They eventually redid it, but it still wasn’t fully black. And it was pretty absurd how they gave me a hard time about it as if I had done something wrong. I never went back for color.I’ve had problems with the shampooers, too, who sometimes get your clothes soaking wet and get your makeup running down your face but that seems to have been fixed and I’ve had only wonderful shampooers in the last 2 years.Services: Haircut

Been taking my (very young) kids here since their first hair cuts. Ms Peggy, Lou and Tom are excellent. They engage the kids and offer to turn on cartoons etc if they’re having a hard time. Highly recommend for kids. Sometimes a short wait on the weekend, just call ahead to secure your spot in line. Great hours to get a haircut in during the week as well.

Such a lovely nail salon! The general manager was so kind and welcoming. I got a regular manicure and the technician, Noda, was excellent. She had a lot of attention to detail and I felt that my nails were in great hands. The salon also has a relaxing vibe and such a pretty aesthetic with self-care products lining the walls. I decided to treat myself for a pedi on my birthday. It was a Thursday afternoon and surprisingly busy! I had to wait a few minutes, no big deal. This is a smaller salon so make sure you come prepared to wait if necessary. The massage chairs are excellent. Seriously I'm dreaming about coming back even though my toes are still in good shape! The service was wonderful and I will definitely be back. One tip: credit card tips are not enabled, bring cash.
The Kosmo Nail Bar at the Chesterbrook Mall in McLean is nice. The stuff you'd expect to see at their downtown McLean location has relocated here for a short period. Plenty of parking here with a great juice/ smoothie place nearby. Pro Tip: Make a reservation online!
I had a great experience at McLean nails and spa. Kay did my nails and she did an excellent job. The nails were very similar to the reference photo and I'm happy with how they turned out. She has done my nails before too and they also turned out really well. I will definitely be coming back.

I have been going to Rachel 11+ years. My first appointment started with a consultation and she addressed all of my concerns including hair loss after pregnancy. She recommended products and showed me how to use them. I was nervous but she kept me encouraged during my transition to natural. Before I knew it, my hair was back! Now I go from curly to straight and back to curly in between appointments. I've done everything with Rachel...cuts, long layers, color, highlights and have been happy with all of them. My daughter also enjoys going to see Rachel. During their appointments she talks to her about her hair, answers questions and is always patient. I’m sorry to see some of the comments left here. I have been coming here for years. This is my go to place when I’m in McLean and DC area. I find them to be consistent and efficient with my pedis. I don’t come for the conversation. I’m grading on the service I receive and it’s always good. Tools always sterilized. They mask. Calming music. I find it very relaxing.

Really like this place- she was very nice, the place was very clean, and she clearly knew what she was doing. Minor thing for me is that she moves her fingers around very fast and that wasn't very relaxing - like she was rushing. Price was also right. I will say bc it's not in a "spa" type setting, I could hear the mailman come in and someone talking to them, I could hear the door opening and closing to the front, etc. Also detracts from the atmosphere.But generally I really liked it here and will be back - for the money it was great. My skin felt great afterwards

This massage was by far one of the best massages I’ve ever gotten! Lisa really took her time to get my stubborn knots to relax with a deep tissue massage. She used hot towels and amazing massage/stretching techniques which I hadn’t experienced in the past. She’s definitely very talented and experienced. She has magical hands with the perfect touch.The atmosphere of the place itself is very clean and welcoming! The blue color of the walls is calming and the massage table was so comfortable with a type of memory foam which I would love to have on my own bed.Pim was very sweet. She was able to schedule an appointment for me last minute which I truly appreciated. I’ll make sure to obtain another massage when I visit McLean again! Hands down the best facial ever. I personally love the lymphobiology facial with microdermabrasion. I have been recently going to Nikki but everyone there is wonderful and extremely knowledgeable about treatments and skin care routines. My skin is always glowing after I leave and I always get compliments on how it looks. With an almost 91 year old mother who was struggling with the lack of bathroom access they were determined to get things fixed. They went above and beyond! Ben's Remodeling did a fantastic job on our hall bathroom update. We had Ben's rip out the entire bathroom and install a new tub/shower, tile shower walls, glass shower doors, vanity, recessed medicine cabinet, toilet and tile floor. The work was meticulous, and Ben was very hands on and in constant communication. Ben also provided great assistance with selecting materials and accessories. Lastly, I appreciated the transparency in pricing, along with all of the attention to detail and the friendly workers. I would not hesitate to use Ben's Remodeling for another project.

For my first visit, he took an x-ray of my knee, and went over the reasons why I am having issues. In just a few sessions, I experienced significant relief.Along with chiropractic adjustments, they also provided exercises to do outside the office.The combination of adjustments and exercises has made a noticeable difference in my knee pain. My overall experience with Dr.Dave at Old Dominion Chiropractic is outstanding…I really appreciate that he can schedule an appointment at a short notice….and either he or his wife Dr.Kristina will always return my call and always get me in to see Dr.Dave…his adjustments are awesome and healing and both he and Dr.Kristina have beautiful and welcoming personalities…I highly recommend their practice….
Absolutely incredible place with the best people! I have/had an ankle injury from over a year ago and surgery was the next step, but this step sounded much more appealing since my mom religiously comes here, and I decided to just join her on the adventures of acupuncture. It’s been super great! I used to have pain after propping my foot up sitting on the couch, but that has almost disappeared thanks to Dr. Sniezek :)
I typically don't write reviews but have to say Dr. Sanford is the best. Been going to him for years with Lower Back pain and various Tennis related injuries. His work by far is the most effective in healing the body and getting rid of pain the quickest. Love his Acupuncture approach with Electrodes. Very effective. Overall, he's a good guy. Very laid back, not pushy at all. Highly recommend him.
Saw Dr. Sanford for chronic pain in knees, tried many things before he treated me with ultrasonic sound wave machines and in 6 weeks I am back to biking and pain free going up and down the stairs and back to my yoga practice
The receptionist on the 1st floor doesn’t seem to be happy. The rest of the group is so nice! especially Doctor Olivia and her associate.

Jen and sarah are the best! I go to Jen regularly but went to sarah while Jen was on maternity leave and they’re both great (medically and cosmetically)! They are straightforward and real with you about your care and I now feel comfortable going out in public without makeup with their help!
I was very happy with the services received. My puppy needed a spay as well as a hernia repair. She also had three baby teeth needing removal. The cost was very good. Staff were clearly caring and communicated well. I would definitely use them for services in the future.
McLean Animal Hospital has cared for my cats for 10 years. The veterinarians are caring and gentle, especially Dr Sullivan. She explains everything very well and keeps us up to date on new developments in cat care.
A hidden gem in McLean! I've been going to Irwin for prenatal massage and it has been the best self-care choice. You are bolstered by pillows everywhere and he takes the time to understand and explain pain points which have really helped during my pregnancy. Highly recommend!
I visited Lori at Dynamic Integrations Wellness after several months of on and off pain from a sprained ankle. I had seen a foot specialist, who told me there was little they could do since it wasn't broken - the area just needed time to heal. After one massage session, I felt a noticeable improvement! I highly recommend consulting with them if you need pain relief or have questions about the benefits of massage for your needs.
Echo did a great job with the massage. I would recommend them; however, there was lots of noise from Dolly Madison during the massage, even with the music being on. Especially the trucks that would drive by. It made it hard to relax.
Duante worked really hard to relieve tight hamstrings in 30 minutes. Very thorough ; nice place

With nearly 30 years dealing with back spasms SI sessions with Jill have been life changing. Over time I have seen every type of medical professional I can think of to find a root cause and a fix - no luck there, just drugs, localized treatment then stretch & do core exercises. Since completing a 10 series I no longer fear that I will bend the wrong way and find myself on the floor for a week waiting for the spasms to release. Wish I had found Jill and SI years ago ...

Well I have been giving and receiving California massage also known as esalen massage since I was fourteen and that is quite some time ago. Now I only review neighborhood spas but I can say that these are so true to the California tradition on the phone that I practically think I'm in a school for massage. Hip. Need I say more?
I was in Mclean this weekend to see a friend there. During the day, I had a few hours to kill. Thus, I went to this place to have a massage. I was greeted by rather young lady and started wonder if she was experienced. Anyway, I decided to try any. I was pleasantly surprised by her expert skills. The oil applied was just the right amount and massage was strong as I asked for. She would ask if the pressure was right and if I felt ok once in a while. The place is well decorated with pleasant lighting. I would repeat.
I’m a tourist to DC and walked 10 miles before going in to get some relief. What an extraordinary massage! Moe Moe is truly an expert in her field! If anyone is visiting and don’t know where to go I would like to say the 45 minute drive was well worth it.

I have seen four different practicioners at ITR over the years. Each one amazing in her own way. They are all so smart and caring and truly invested in your total well being. I’m post menopausal and tell all my friends if you haven’t yet, you need to see a pelvic floor therapist — they have helped me in so many different ways. I’ve dealt w frequent urinating, rectal and bladder prolapse rectocele repair and recently the trauma of colon resection due to cancer. Throw in my hyper mobility and Terri has helped me finally understand how it all connects. She goes the extra mile to educate me think out of the box and understands my whole body better than anyone.
Easy to follow exercises and instruction and I'm able to put socks on with out trouble again. It's much easier to go up and down steps too. Thanks for your help!
Angela Gordon is magic and knows her stuff. I refer anyone I know who needs PT to her. It's no wonder she teaches other PTs around the country and attracts clientele from elite athletes to everyday adults trying to heal from injury and get stronger. She's patient, kind, and knowledgeable and her expertise has helped me heal and recover from surgery. The targeted exercises and continued focus on my improvement I have experienced at Advanced Kinetics is unlike any other PT practice I have been to - and I have been to many in the McLean/Falls Church area over the years. It is apparent Angela is also a great boss as her staff seems very happy. After spending over 30 hours in her McLean and FC practices this year I have always felt well taken care of by all staff.
My shoulder pain vanished after seeing Dr. Sarah. She is the best!! She also treated me for my lower back pain. I thought I would give acupuncture a try since I don’t like going to PT. Now that my pain is gone after a few short visits, there’s no going back to physical therapy. Acupuncture works!!
Dr. Liu is an amazing acupuncturist. I have long term stomach and lung problems with anxiety and insomnia and I feel a lot better just after just a few visits. She saved my life!!! I am very fortunate to have met her and would strongly recommend her to anyone wanting acupuncture.
Gira is nothing short of amazing. My son has health issues that impact his ability to walk well. Gira was the only person who could ease the pain and the spasm, not to mention getting him to walk more fluidly. I'm pretty sure we'll be going to see Gira for a very long time!
