After a very disappointing experience at another salon, we walked into The Strand Styling Studio hoping for something better and we found so much more.
My son was in need of a haircut after just getting over a cold, so he was wearing a mask as a precaution. He is also autistic, though he usually does well with haircuts as long as there is a little patience and understanding. From the moment we walked in, Joy made us feel completely comfortable and welcome. I asked if it would be okay for him to keep his mask on during the haircut, and she immediately reassured us that it was absolutely not a problem.
When I shared that my son has autism, Joy responded with genuine kindness and understanding. She even mentioned having a family member with autism, which truly showed in how she interacted with him calm, patient, and compassionate.
My son had a wonderful experience, and Joy did an excellent job with his haircut. It meant so much to feel accepted and cared for without hesitation.
From now on, this is where we will be going for all our haircut needs.

I have been going to sweet Joanna for 10 years now. I will never switch up. She is so bright and happy every time I go in. I explain the things i want and she knows exactly what I mean when I explain it to her in my crazy ways with pictures and and she delivers EXACTLY what I want every time. My friend got her hair messed up one time by a stylist trying to highlight her away from her normal stylist and we drove 5 hours to Joanna the very next day and of course she fixed it and gave my friend exactly what she was picturing for herself! Looking for a nail salon, I googled nails near me and found Nail Max. I hit the jackpot! This place is beautiful, clean and fresh. They have the largest selection of polishes and dips I’ve ever seen. I chose a gel manicure. My nails are perfectly polished with a thin, natural shape. I will definitely be back! The only problem is my husband says I can’t fly down from home in Buffalo every three weeks to have my nails done. I asked Tom to come back home with me, but the next customer said she won’t let him go!

I did the package and started with a body scrub (which was heavenly and the best I’ve ever had), a massage (that blasted me into another orbit), and a facial the perfect end the spa day (that was extraordinary). The products were all natural and my skin, spirit, and face feel soooo good. Better than they have in years. And I smell SO good lol. To start they got us scheduled very fast and on the day we needed it to be on. Jason was ready for us as soon as we got in the door. Matt just fixed our bath drain overflow that was causing leaking into the first floor. He was friendly, on time, and brought all supplies needed for the job! After an unpleasant experience with a different plumbing company, it was great to have him come in and fix our issue in around an hour and a half. Will continue to use him for any plumbing issues that come up in the future.

Bill is the man! He stayed in touch from my first phone call, and I knew exactly what was happening with my job from start to finish. After initially diagnosing the issue and taking some measurements, he personally ordered the fans I picked out (so I didn't have to go out and buy them), then he showed up on time and installed them both in half the time I figured it would take. Plus he's a funny guy, and I really enjoyed talking with him. Can't recommend this business and this employee highly enough!

Unfortunately they weren’t able to do a service call for me because they were fully booked, but the woman on the phone was incredibly polite and helpful. She offered me tips to try with the issue we are having with our refrigerator, even after I told her I wouldn’t be able to use their services since I needed something more immediate. I have been struggling to find a repair company for my equipment. The manufacturer is across the country and it is industry specific. I called other food service repair companies and they didn't even want to try. I called Carroll food service and Andrea was most helpful. They contacted the manufacturer got specs on the machine came out and fixed it in an hour. I had an electrician spend dozen hours trying to figure it out prior. First class operation all the way.

Elite Carpet cleaned carpets in our new home before moving in. We still lived 2 hrs away, but when we arrived on moving day we were happy to see fresh clean carpets. One room had a sizable stain of unknown origin. They were able to get the stain out, which means no need for new carpet in that room. Win win! Two small bedrooms, a large upstairs loft and a set of stairs.

Coastline Pest has had our account for the past 10 years, they have done an outstanding job in servicing our needs.
Cannot recommend them enough! I found an ungodly huge spider in my backyard and called The Carolina Bug Guys the next day and they got me right on the schedule. They did a thorough search inside and outside the house to see what my problems were. Found black and brown widows as well as a fire ant problem. They even took care of the mosquitoes because I get bit 3-4 times every time I take my dogs out. This was exceptional service and you should want the best that they provided!
These guys are awesome. I noticed a pretty big Wasp nest in my back yard today and I'm very allergic to stings so I needed a fast response. Called a couple places and they all wanted a contract and $150+ for a one time thing when all I needed was some help. Call these guys, super professional, came out a couple hours later, got the nest and all the other smaller ones I didn't even see and sprayed the easement of the house to prevent it from happening again ALL for 1/3 of what all the other places were asking. Absolutely the best veterinarian clinic that we've found on the Grand Strand (and we've tried a few). We were impressed from the parking lot all the way through to the end of the visit. As we were walking through the parking lot one of the veterinarian technicians was on her way in. We could tell she was genuinely happy to be going to work. As a matter of fact all of the staff seemed to enjoy their job. Our dog loved everyone there too. Dr. Duncan and the technician took time to explain what they were doing, to answer our questions and to love our girl.

EDIT: Updating this to say that three years later we're still tremendously happy at River Oaks Animal Hospital. They are kind and caring. Our girl (dog) loves to go. They truly love animals and it shows!
2nd EDIT: Another year in and we're still loving River Oaks Animal Hospital.
3rd EDIT: I don't know when was the last time that I updated this review but I'm back again to say that we're still loving River Oaks. I recommended them just the other day.
They have grown a lot since we first starting with them but are still providing great, individualized care. I don't know how Dr. Duncan finds her staff but they are all friendly and seem to enjoy their work.
4th EDIT: Here I am again providing another update... We very much appreciate the staff of River Oaks Animal Hospital. They are thorough, kind, and knowledgeable. We've experienced annual visits, snake bite envenomation, raisin ingestion, and nose bleeds with our girl. I often say that she (our girl) is trying to send me to an early grave but in every case the River Oaks staff have been right there letting us know what's going on, calming me, and most of all providing exception care. I wouldn't even think about trusting our girl to anyone else.
5th EDIT: I continue to say that River Oaks Animal Hospital is the best veterinary office that I've experienced. They all sincerely care about our girl and I would assume all of their patients. I appreciate that they have always been there for us and our active girl with knowledge and compassion. I trust them and that is invaluable.
IGGY James usually whimpers when getting a Rabies shot ,or blood drawn for heartworm test,he didn't even realize it was happening very quick and precise, GREAT JOB

I truly cannot say enough good things about this veterinary office! The entire staff is friendly, compassionate, and always makes both me and my dogs feel comfortable. Dean has been absolutely AMAZING — never once making me feel silly for worrying about my pets and always taking my concerns seriously.
They’ve gone out of their way to work my animals in when they’re sick, and every time we leave, my dogs are on the road back to their happy, normal selves. Finding a vet you can completely trust is priceless, and I am so grateful for the level of care they provide. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, kind, and dependable veterinary team!

Rachel and Dr Hurt were terrific dealing with our new puppy’s first visit to the vet. They treated Louie very nicely and we couldn’t have been happier.
I could not be more appreciative of the care they provided for my sweet Maltipoo Molly! We were seen on an emergency basis. When I called there was no hesitation about seeing her . Upon arrival, we were greeted with such care and compassion. Dr. Black was so knowledgeable and thorough. Her staff were exceptional as well . I am having our records transferred to this office ! It is such a comforting feeling to know that she is and will be in such good hands with this team of professionals.
We have used Meadowlawn for 7 or 8 years now. The past two years we have used Market Commons. Love all the staff there. They just love all the babies that come in. Robert in the boarding will take care of your babies when you can't. He sent us pictures and texts while we were on vacation with updates on how our babies were doing. The boys just love him. I would highly recommend Meadowlawn of Market common for boarding and Vet needs.

I want to thank them so much for helping my handsome boy, Cooper. We have been going there on and off throughout the years and he’s always been well taken care of. He’s an absolute menace at the vet (he’s a crier and drama queen to the max) but the best boy at home. They don’t ever treat him badly because of it. He’s had checkups here, surgery, and more. They always make sure he’s healthy and not in any pain!
This is the place to be! Dr. Mike and his wonderful staff: Catherine, Renee and Natalie are the BEST! I had an emergency situation and Dr. Mike and his great staff did a wonderful job of working with my cat and putting my mind at ease. They are professional and caring, putting my fur baby and his care first. The prices are very reasonable! If you re looking for a caring and loving vet, Dr. Mike and Myrtle Beach Animal Hospital is the place to be!

Sharon is excellent with our wheaten terrier. Thera clean micro bubbles baths have helped our wheaten from his severe skin allergies. Since relocating to SC we have been blessed to have found Sharon the owner. My dog, Finny is comfortable with her with grooming & bathing. Dogzone is a great environment for dog care and I highly recommend her to anyone that needs grooming,Thera clean micro bubble bath or boarding.

I was a little picky about the haircut I wanted my little dog to get and was very nervous dropping her off but Bark In Style did an amazing job!! Chicken Nugget (my dog) looks so good and she feels so good!! 10/10 recommend and my girl was so good and really loves the groomer. Thanks Bark In Style!
I have been going to Canine Oasis for just over 3 years. I have a Shih tzu mix dog and I love the way he gets groomed. Very reasonable prices and a very friendly staff. I would highly recommend!!

Abigail does a great job on my dog's nails! This was our 2nd time there. My dogs are bucking broncos, but Abigail gets the job done calmly. Nails look exceptional!

Our experience with Nicole was excellent! She got our Frenchie in quickly and worked with our schedule. Nicole listened to our pups needs and our likings. The salon had very friendly personnel and was extremely clean. I have already booked our next appointment for my pup to get her pampering.
I can not say enough good things about Sea Yoga. We booked a private bachelorette yoga class and it was everything you would want and more. From start to finish, the experience was so enjoyable. Whitney is kind, professional, knowledgeable and attentive. The experience was beautifully tailored to our bride. Our instructor Rebecca was a dream! She paced the class perfectly, and was so personable and fun. If you’re looking for something to do while here, I cannot recommend Sea Yoga highly enogh!
I had the most wonderful experience at this yoga class! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was calm, welcoming, and peaceful. The instructor, Elise, guided us with such patience and sincerity — explaining each pose clearly and the benefits of the pose. Elise offered modifications when needed, and encouraged us to listen to our bodies.
YOGA in COMMON is a light, clean space conducive to yoga. I’ve especially enjoyed Sue Perley’s class because of her monitoring of her students and modifying poses based on the students’ capabilities.
I love this place. I recently joined and could not be happier. Clean facility & the staff are beyond friendly. My favorite instructor is Jo, but they’re all great. Very challenging, but the instructors are excellent to modify and encourage listening to your own body. No judgement. So glad I joined.

Teesa is a Blessing. You can feel her good intentions as she works out the deepest muscle trauma. She quickly pinpoints the problem and guides you into the release. As someone with an auto immune disorder it was such a huge release. She also listens to what made the stress spots. Her Hot Stone & Deep Tissue are at your comfort level. At one point I had a huge emotion dump and she talked me through it. Worth every penny!

She also tinted and curled my lashes. Despite my lashes being a bit shorter than most she was still able to have them like fabulous!!

Donette really helped me when I was having severe pain in my shoulder and arm. I had tried chiropractors and meds with no relief. She was very knowledgeable about my condition and really helped my pain. She also called to check on me and offered to take care of me if I needed another quick visit. Dr Angela Chen is a wonderful and expert acupuncturist! I am so very thankful I was referred to her. She expertly pinpoints my “pain areas” and I feel so much better after each visit. She is my “Dr Angel”.
Dr. Dong and her team are worth the money. I enjoyed the comprehensive blood exam with her as it was so cool to view live what she was viewing on the microscope. She explained in depth all that she saw and took the time to answer all of my questions. Also I previously had Dr. Rummel as a biology professor at HGTC and she was a funny and informative professor ( I also got an A in her class #humblebrag lol) so it was cool to see she works here as a chiropractor. And another shoutout to my former coworker Joshua who works here as well I found out when we saw each other there the first day I came in. He is a great person. I like all the natural health and healing options they have available here as I’m big into natural health methods which is why I originally came here to try an infrared machine and then Dr. Dong suggested I get a blood exam checkup too, so I did. I’ve heard many local people mention seeing her through the years and it was a pleasure to meet her. I felt like I was meeting a celebrity lol. I would love to work here if I didn’t already have a job but I am happy to be a client here. ?
I’m a Veteran and H Wong takes care of me when others wouldn’t. He has done very good on my old body. I have great respect for him and will continue to use him.
