We were visiting from Sunset Beach from Virginia. Our 13 1/2 year old miniature schnauzer, Katie, had been getting medication for congestive hear failure for over a year. When her CHF was diagnosed the cardiologists told us we could expect 6 months to a year. Katie did very well on her medication and remained playful and energetic. She took a drastic downturn while we were in NC. Lethargic, not eating, and drinking infrequently, etc. We tried many vet offices, in NC, but none of which was seeing new patients. One of them recommended Coastal Veterinary Care. They had us bring Katie in, examined her, and did lab work. Evidently, the CHC medication had taken a toll on Katie....read full review

Dr. Black this message is for you and your staff. Weeks ago I found a cat roaming the streets. He was mangled and emaciated. Still a beautiful cat. I named him Kitty. I took him in, cleaned him up, fed him and loved him(he even slept with me). After a few weeks I was worried about some health concerns so I brought him in to get checked out. Upon meeting Kitty you cared for him as if he was your own. We talk about options as the cat was older and had some issues with his mouth. During his checkup you found that he was chipped. Dr. Black, her vet techs and staff are all extremely knowledgeable and caring. They care for all 3 of my dogs, and my puppy can't wait to get in the door when we go. As a trainer and a pet owner, it is very important to me to use a Fear Free Certified practice. I know they think of my dogs' comfort as well as their well being.
