“Mancill used to be a top notch company. Ever since Richard Mancill passed away and the new owner Jimmie Cummins took over the company has gone completely downhill. It is a shame that the name Mancill has become synonymous with poor customer service and shoddy workmanship. My elderly father's $500,000 house got flooded out after a sharkbite fitting that they installed gave way in the wall of his second story bathroom. I contacted the company and Debbie was extremely rude saying it wasnt there problem. She claimed that we were trying to scam them and told me to stop calling. My father ended up having to foot the bill of $10k to fix the damage caused by there shoddy workmanship. The plumbing company I called to fix the leak said only DIY hacks use sharkbite fittings and the water line should of been properly soldered back together since it was concealed in the wall. Never again will I use them and I tell my story so others dont get literally soaked like my father did by this company. Quite a few of my father's friends have said the same thing about the company has gone downhill since old man Mancill passed away and its no longer a reputable service provider.“

“Our duct work under the house was falling apart and when we asked for someone to come give us a quote, they were there the next day. Then they replaced the very bad spots within the next few days. We appreciated how quickly they got us on their schedule. The humidity in our home has disappeared and we are grateful we were able to get this fixed quickly.“

“Bill is the man! He stayed in touch from my first phone call, and I knew exactly what was happening with my job from start to finish. After initially diagnosing the issue and taking some measurements, he personally ordered the fans I picked out (so I didn't have to go out and buy them), then he showed up on time and installed them both in half the time I figured it would take. “Service provided on 06/25/2025 in Myrtle Beach, SC: I live in Virginia and the A/C at my Myrtle Beach, SC, vacation rental condo suddenly stopped working properly on a 90+ degree day while guests were occupying the unit. My go-to HVAC company would not confirm whether a technician could go over that same day to diagnose and fix the issues, so, I had to look for someone else who could. I called a few companies and setup appointments with two of them. At about 2:15pm, First Choice Heating & Air told me that they could have a technician over between 5-7pm. However, at 2:25pm, I received an automated message telling me that Josh was on his way and that he would arrive in less than 30 minutes, which he did. Josh was very professional, respectful, knowledgeable, and patient. He explained everything that had gone wrong with the indoor AC unit and what he had done to fix it. He also checked the outdoor unit and found it to be working properly. Josh is an asset to this company! I am very, very pleased with the timely service provided by Josh and First Choice Heating & Air. They both proved to be responsive, reliable, and reasonably priced in an emergency. Five days later, my FORMER go-to HVAC company has yet to reach out to let me know when a technician will be available. First Choice Heating & Air is my new preferred and go-to HVAC company and I recommend them to anyone in the Myrtle Beach area who needs their system maintained, serviced, or repaired!“

They came out the same day, discovered that, while the part the other company diagnosed as the problem was a problem, there was another part that was also needed, and fixed ALL of the issues for less than the other company charged. It was immediately evident that they are far more knowledgeable and professional than the national chain company we used before.
