“Rashod is definitely about his business of helping his clients reach their goals and more. I have known and worked with him for over a decade and he never fails. When I was pregnant with my daughter he continued to train me throughout the whole ordeal. To my knowledge, I was the first pregnant woman he worked with and my doctor was so amazed at my abs at 7 months. He is reasonably priced, attentive to his clients needs, always on time and overall a great trainer. If you’d like to see yourself in a new, strong, defined body, he’s the person to see.“

“I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Dedicated Strength working specifically with Larry three days a week. Larry was very friendly, easy-going, dependable and knowledgeable about his craft. The gym itself is clean, well-maintained, and has a lot of great equipment. The skill level of lifters ranges from expert to novice and all are clearly welcome. I was completely comfortable in each of my sessions and the gym itself was perfect for focusing on the workout.It was a very pleasant experience and Joe and his team were very professional. Personal circumstances forced me to put a pause on my training, but the team was understanding and I will be back in the future.“

“When I first read about Classic Barbell, I was skeptical of three things: (1) barbell training in general, (2) the “semi-private” / small group style format, and (3) the cost of the membership. After training here over the past five months, I’m happy to report that my doubts have been completely dispelled. Here’s why:(1) Barbell training is the only physical activity that has ever produced any tangible performance benefit in my life. I’ve spent literally thousands of hours hours running, swimming, cycling, rowing, doing yoga, CrossFit, blah blah blah. They were time consuming, and at the end of the day - I still sucked at arduous physical tasks. Nothing has improved my athletic abilities more than barbell training; I even find myself able to swim faster / longer despite having largely given up that sport years ago. Oh and I almost forgot: the enhancements to my physical appearance have been far greater with barbell training than with any other activity.(2) The “semi-private” / small group training format has worked well because the coach, Danny, knows human performance like the back of his hand and is able to quickly diagnose and offer solutions to pretty much every issue that comes up during training. Danny is also extremely reliable; I have never seen him late or bail on a workout. He uses apps to help coordinate scheduling and programming - so workouts flow smoothly even when it’s a full house. Perhaps most importantly, Danny is a great people person—a skill that should never be underestimated! He knows how to make everyone feel welcome, seen, and how to motivate people to do their best.(3) Regarding cost, it’s expensive for me, but I think it’s worth it. Thanks in large measure to Danny’s skills as a coach, I’ve been able to overcome a training plateau that I was stuck at for years. The benefits of this improvement arevaluable to me because my work is physically demanding, but there are plenty of other intangible benefits, including improved self-confidence and mental health.Overall, I would say this is the best experience I’ve ever had in any fitness-related investment. If you want to learn barbell training, get stronger, look more athletic, and do it all in a friendly, welcoming environment, then I highly encourage you to start training at Classic Barbell!“

“I just came across this when booking my first class and went to book another session and these reviews are really confusing. I've been to about every Reformer studio in the city and this and the Shaw studio are the Best I've ever been to in DC and maybe ever. I agree with the last review. This studio has not requried masks since they were no longer mandated nor do they require vax cards. Maybe they saw someone in there with a mask which is that persons right but it's for sure not manditory. With all the other fitness studios out there, my first session there the instructor noticed every single one of my injuries and showed me what I should be doing and focusing on to help even myself out and improve my form. I think there might be a couple haters out here :) Life is full of them!“

“I was hesitant to join at first for the price--but I credit my entire membership to Anna at the front desk. I joined about six months ago when I was having a really terrible day and Anna was welcoming, kind, and has been every day since. Going to the gym feels like a great community event when I go. The workouts are challenging but it's a nice mixed bag of tasks each week. Jamie, Mike and Andrew are the coaches I sign up for the most. They're energetic, quick to offer alternative workouts for injuries, and ensure my form is correct. Hands down the best gym I've ever joined.“
