“Our AC stopped cooling during a really humid stretch, and the upstairs stayed around 79 even with the thermostat set much lower. The outdoor condenser was running, but the air from the vents was only slightly cool, and there was a strange buzzing sound whenever the system tried to start a full cooling cycle. The house felt damp and uncomfortable, and it was hard for my kid to sleep. A technician named William came out to Needham and diagnosed the problem quickly. He checked the refrigerant pressure, tested the capacitor, inspected the contactor, and found the evaporator coil was beginning to ice up because of restricted airflow and weak blower performance. He cleaned the system, replaced the faulty capacitor, cleared the drain line, and restored proper airflow through the AC system. After the repair, the supply air felt much colder, the humidity indoors started dropping, and the house cooled the way it should. What stood out most was how patient and easy to talk to he was. I had a lot of questions about the AC repair, airflow, and cooling cycle, and he explained everything in simple terms. By that evening the system was running steadily again, the bedrooms felt comfortable, and the whole house finally felt normal. It was a big relief to have the air conditioning working properly again.“

“Don once again saved the day for me, with a quick response and by showing up the next morning to have a look at my furnace, which was starting to make some noise from the blower area. I had others suggesting that the motor or the ball bearings were going, all costly fixes (from listening to a recording of the sound). Don thought it was more of an intake airflow issue, and asked me to try dropping down the air filter MERV rating from the 10 and 12 which I had been using. I went out and bought a MERV 6 rating filter, which is fine for my needs and the condo. The noise went away. A quick visit and solid advice! He has always found time to come by quickly, and assess situations, clearly spelling out a plan and cost, and then does what he says. He never tries to upsell me on anything that is beyond what I need to solve my issue. I have to say, some of the other larger companies have done exactly that. He has helped me with HVAC, Water Heater, and general plumbing in the past, and I have never had any issues or surprises.“
