Being totally forthright with us, he let us know that based on the building's electric service, the job would not be able to be done legally. I have the most respect for someone in business who knows what they can and cannot do.Biggest regret here is that we can't do business with them based on the dated electric service in the building.“

“I had them install a Mitsubishi mini split in one room of my house. I talked to a few companies and they had the best pricing and were the only one that performed a calculation to determine the best size for my installation. Everyone else quoted systems 2-3 times larger which didn't make any sense. The installation was quick and they kept things clean and protected even though it started pouring out. Brian was really friendly and kept me informed throughout and walked me through the system once it was up and running.“
“Great job repairing a toilet for my elderly parents (tank filled slowly; ballcock was replaced). Charged by the hour, reasonable price, no BS. Responsive - would have come the same day but I could not accommodate so they came the day afterward. Also did a minor faucet repair. Good value for money. Recommend!“

My AC unit was not working & I had a person tell me I had to replace the WHOLE unit plus some but I called Mass Heating, they came right away & fixed it in a 1/2 hour. no parts or anything. The technician was so knowledgeable. I didn't believe him when he came in the house & said you have air conditioning again. WOW they are AWESOME! “I have asked Jon and Artie from Fire & Ice, LLC to do work at the last three homes where I have lived. They have done emergency repairs as well as regular maintenance. Jon found and fixed issues with my boiler that were a result of neglect from the prior owner of my current home. Artie had my heat working shortly after he drove quickly to the store at the end of the day to get a needed part. Thanks to him, I did not have to go the night without heat! Both of them go above and beyond to get the job done. They explain everything in easy-to-understand terms and answer all questions. They are my go-to guys for everything related to heat and HVAC. “Spoke to the owner on the phone while we were having a disaster over the XMAS 2022 holidays. It ended up being a septic issue that he could not personally fix but he spent over 15 minutes with us after hours (6:30 PM during holiday week) answering our questions and providing advice on who we should call/the best way to get our situation addressed given the circumstances + after hours dynamic. “Eric and his crew installed a new central Carrier A/C system for me over the summer. I'm fairly technical and a DIYer but Eric taught me a lot about how the A/C would work with my existing Carrier Infinity furnance, e.g., a 2-stage system might not work as expected with it. So I decided to go with the 1-stage and am very happy with it.DAVCO set itself apart from other contractors I've worked with by the quality of the install, e.g., they used a new solid platform for the condenser and it is perfectly parallel with the house. Their measurements and recordings of the A/C output after the install were a nice touch as well.I highly recommend DAVCO and will continue to use them for all my HVAC servicing needs.“

We found ourselves in a predicament and needed a delivery as soon as possible, with a huge storm on the way. The morning of the delivery, we had easily 18in of snow, and our delivery man absolutely hauled through the snow to get to us. We hadn't even had time to clear a path for him and he still made it happen. So grateful that people like this still exist in the world, he went above and beyond. Unfortunately my original plan couldn't be accomplished due to clearances and regulations, but the rep was extremely knowledgeable and was not only able to give me an alternative option but also explain why my original plan wouldn't work. I appreciate his promptness, I left him a voicemail late Monday afternoon and got a call back the next day where we were able to schedule a time for him to come out on Wednesday. He also quickly provided me with a proposal with all the information we discussed. “Our house has a non-standard heating and A/C arrangement, and the gas furnace for the upstairs developed a crack in the heat exchanger. James was one of three contractors that provided an estimate for replacing the system with a HE furnace and new A/C. He was very responsive, and actually spent time with me explaining various system options, and working out the details of how he would install the intake & exhaust piping. This was very important to me since the furnace is in a difficult location, and it required a lot of thought as to how best to route the pipes through the walls and through side of the house. We were also very impressed by his high BBB rating, so we selected him to do the work. James had the equipment delivered within two days and began installing it the next day since the nights were getting colder. He was very much hands-on working directly on the project with his team. They had the old furnace and A/C removed and the pipes run on the first day, and the new furnace installed and operational on the second day, just in time for the first really cold night. On the last day, he had the A/C installed and running, ready for next summer. Without adding to the cost, he included new tubing to the condenser, the additional refrigerant needed for the extra distance, and a new thermostat.The new system is working great. James did everything he said he would and we are very happy with the results. This was a significant project for us, and our experience with him was excellent. I can highly recommend him.“
