I'm fairly technical and a DIYer but Eric taught me a lot about how the A/C would work with my existing Carrier Infinity furnance, e.g., a 2-stage system might not work as expected with it. So I decided to go with the 1-stage and am very happy with it.DAVCO set itself apart from other contractors I've worked with by the quality of the install, e.g., they used a new solid platform for the condenser and it is perfectly parallel with the house. Their measurements and recordings of the A/C output after the install were a nice touch as well.I highly recommend DAVCO and will continue to use them for all my HVAC servicing needs.“

We found ourselves in a predicament and needed a delivery as soon as possible, with a huge storm on the way. The morning of the delivery, we had easily 18in of snow, and our delivery man absolutely hauled through the snow to get to us. “Our house has a non-standard heating and A/C arrangement, and the gas furnace for the upstairs developed a crack in the heat exchanger. James was one of three contractors that provided an estimate for replacing the system with a HE furnace and new A/C. He was very responsive, and actually spent time with me explaining various system options, and working out the details of how he would install the intake & exhaust piping. This was very important to me since the furnace is in a difficult location, and it required a lot of thought as to how best to route the pipes through the walls and through side of the house. We were also very impressed by his high BBB rating, so we selected him to do the work. James had the equipment delivered within two days and began installing it the next day since the nights were getting colder. He was very much hands-on working directly on the project with his team. They had the old furnace and A/C removed and the pipes run on the first day, and the new furnace installed and operational on the second day, just in time for the first really cold night. On the last day, he had the A/C installed and running, ready for next summer. Without adding to the cost, he included new tubing to the condenser, the additional refrigerant needed for the extra distance, and a new thermostat.The new system is working great. James did everything he said he would and we are very happy with the results. This was a significant project for us, and our experience with him was excellent. I can highly recommend him.“
