I've had quite a few massages in the past, but my experience with Puni stood head & shoulders above the rest. I really appreciated how she addressed comments about my strained areas prior to the session, and I truly felt like she paid extra attention to them during the massage. The studio was comfortable and clean, and the relief I felt persisted into the days following the massage, unlike after others in which it has often lasted mere hours. I'll definitely be recommending her & returning in the future!

Niki was fabulous! I had a less than desirable experience at another location where it took 3 hours, faded almost completely by the time I was supposed to get a touch up and would have need to pay MORE for a touch up. I decided to find another artist instead and am delighted to have found Niki! She was quick but not rushed, it more just showed her confidence in doing what she does. She had to fix the uneven flares at the end so was a bit of a challenge but it came out beautifully! Now I can run out of the house without makeup. Pic included is me on such a day. Mahalo Niki!!

Lesha is the most professional and amazing hair artist I’ve ever worked with ! I had a seperate stylist put in hair extensions and ended up with rly bad results days before my wedding, but lesha heard I was looking for someone to fix my hair and days before my wedding she pulled it off perfectly. Not only did she fit me into her busy schedule on very short emergency notice but she also offered to put them in on a house call which was AMAZING. Lesha was able to understand what styles I wanted to do with my extensions and created an entire pattern for laying the extensions down based off my scalp so they would be invisible when I pull my hair up or have it down. She was also very paitent with my lack of knowledge about how to properly care for and retape my extensions even helping me retape some. She awnsered all my questions about after care of my hair as well as any I had about the whole process. Also I am someone with autism and she is incredible to work with and checks in often to ensure your comfortable. Over all I’ve never had a more respectful and perfect hair stylist especially during emergency circumstances she will be my stylist from now on :) 5 stars all around !

Laura is the best hair stylist I have ever gone to and I found my girl to take care of my hair from here on out. I drove from Kona to Hilo to find someone that specializes in curly hair and she did such an amazing job! I haven't had my hair professionally cut in 7 years and asked for her to cut the dead away and help my curls come back. She's very professional and friendly and extremely knowledgeable about all hair. Any question I asked she happily answered and she taught me how to take care and style my hair at home. I've never been able to so easily achieve the curls I have today and I'm so beyond happy with my hair. I have received countless compliments weeks after getting the haircut and I can't wait to go back.
My first visit to Studio 58 in downtown Hilo was great. My stylist was Manny and I had a shampoo, haircut and blow out/curl. I'm a kupuna with very thin hair past my shoulders. He listened carefully to what I wanted. I have been trying to find a good salon in Hilo for a while now since Kathy Romero, who did my hair since 1990, retired. I've been getting my hair done when I travel to Honolulu and that's not as often as my hair needs attention. Now I can trust in Studio 58 as my place and Manny as my stylist. Prices are very reasonable. Check them out!! I believe you will be very happy you did.

Taty is great. Not sure why I haven’t left a review before. I like that I can make an appointment online. She’s very communicative via text if there are any issues with the appointment time. She’s got one chair in a little room which is great for me and my mild social anxiety lol. She’s very nice, always super cheerful, and it makes the experience really comfortable and chill. She did a great job when I kept my hair short, and she also did a great job helping blend the length when I decided to start growing it out. She’s very knowledgeable and I trust her to give me a cut that looks good with my face shape and texture of my hair. Totally recommend.

Absolutely the best. I called last minute as I desperately needed a pedicure. They were so kind on the phone and accommodating. The pedicure was delightful and the place is so lovely. Brand new everything! New massage chairs were wonderful and helped my aches. My nail tech was so sweet and kind to me, I almost started crying in gratitude. Lately I book a time and when I arrive, we decide together what kind of treatment I'll get. Sometimes it's a hydrafacial, sometimes oxygen treatment, sometimes a custom facial with microcurrent. I love the variety of treatments, the products used, the retail options, and the quality of Srita's touch in general. Srita has incredible bedside manners and a super comfy setup. I highly recommend her services!

From start to finish, this was the most amazing tattoo experience I’ve ever had. I was stopping in Hilo for just a few hours while taking a cruise. I wanted a simple Line art tattoo so I started doing some research on artists in the area. I came across Desi‘s page and fell in love and knew I needed more than just some simple line art. She was flexible with me and the time I had available. She designed a custom piece that I am absolutely obsessed with. The studio was clean and beautiful she has thought of every cute little detail. You can see the ocean from her studio. She offered me the most amazing apple flavored Matcha, green tea and snacks. I really felt like she cared about me as a person and not just another tattoo she was doing. I wish I lived closer because I’d be getting tattooed several times a year by her if you’re in the area and you have the time I definitely recommend her.
I had a great experience at South Seas. I walked in and Lex was able to tattoo me the next day. I wanted to get a tattoo of a native bug species and she worked with me to pick out the Koa bug, endemic to Hawai’i. She was so kind to me and my family and I will never forget the experience.

Four years ago, Iwamoto's team added some wiring for my carport. We learned two months ago that they mis-wired the ground in a way that was not initially apparent, but slowly leading to catastrophe, as lights began to flicker, then a sudden power surge which destroyed several appliances. When notified of the problem, Ross took full responsibility for the error, came by to fix what he could, and compensated me promptly for all damage. Even the best teams sometimes make mistakes; fessing up to them and making good on all consequences of it is absolutely top-notch professionalism. I would not hestitate to use Iwamoto again, or recommend their work to others.
Had Kyle come out to install a whole house fan, can’t recommend him enough. He was professional, showed up on time, and did incredible work. Had him install the fan, 3 vents, and the switch/ timer and it all came out flawless. Can not recommend him enough and will continue to use his services from here on out. Don’t mind the gecko warming up on the vents in the last photo lol

I was initially scheduled for fumigation with another company, but the wait was almost a year out! I called Pacific Termite (Veteran's Termite) and they were able to schedule fumigation earlier. There were a few glitches initially with getting the estimate (person didn't show up when scheduled, but I suspect it was because the person couldn't find my house and the phone number was incorrect....communication with the person at the office who took my call was also lacking). However, Kandy (who followed up with scheduling, etc) was AWESOME and very responsive to emails/calls.

I had a very good dentist appointment a few days ago. As usual, the dental hygienist (Shantel) who cleans my teeth was and always is fantastic. She is very kind, professional and knowledgeable. I was also checked by Dr. Sakata which was informative and thorough. The receptionist (Jovan) was also professional, friendly and efficient. All in all, I give the whole experience an A+.

Since moving to the island in having to find new doctors and other necessities. I found Dr. Hilton at Hilo Chiropractor clinic and he is awesome. He is gentle and he gives you the results. The receptionist is awesome. She takes care of your insurance. Definitely will be my chiropractor for this island.
Dr. Klein and Dr. Kim are both excellent and very skilled at making adjustments. You might need more than one visit for them to do all adjustments, but that’s OK considering they are in network and it is not expensive. Highly recommend.

As a movement practitioner & bodywork lover, I think this might have been the best massage I've ever had in my life. Intelligent, connected, grounded. There is an obvious understanding of the human body and the way it works together, plus a deep ability to connect and to listen. He is very strong. My shoulder's been locked for as long as I can remember and he helped me release it. After a massive cross-country move, he shifted me out of fight/flight. I am so excited he's here and we're here. I can't wait to continue to work with him.
I wanted a deep tissue massage, and I got that x100!!! This is the place to go if you want a knowledgable masseuse who can really work through your muscle issues. Im also a nosey person, and Laycie was so kind and willing to verbally talk through what she was doing and why! Hi, I’m a WC referral and client of Zander Carver and I’m writing a review for him as he has helped me immensely. As his bio listed on Vagaro states he specializes in Myofascial Massage and Structural Integration, focusing on problem solving client’s muscular and facial imbalances and postural issues with breathing dysfunctions, he’s doing just that. After having what seems like 3 back-to-back (3 kids in 3 years) gutted C-sections, I haven’t till this day, been able to feel my lower abdomen (no nerves) that no gym equipment, crunches, reverse crunches could fix. With that, I’ve lost muscle control of my pelvic floor that having a loose tilted my hip caused me to walk incorrectly. That misalignment caused me to split and fall and I had to wait 18 months in the height of covid to get a hip replacement. Which led to NOW a torn meniscus in my right knee. Zander has helped by showing and explaining to me how to regain strength in my lower abdomen with some simple breathing techniques and postural changes. He also, besides providing relaxing massages, helped loosen fascia of knotted areas surrounding my injuries—calve, hamstring and quads and has provided videos showing me how to relieve pressure and pain myself with a lacrosse he gave me. After each weekly session especially after PT, leading to the following week, I cannot wait to our next session. He’s also explained the anatomy of my body and how every part is intertwined and connected. When performing massages whether it be on the left, right or upper, lower portions of my body. While providing relief, it makes sense as to their relation and connectivity and I’m able to understand more of its function and purpose. Looking forward to more follow-up treatment post-surgery which is coming up soon.

I had a session yesterday with Hasse, and it was exactly what I needed after a lot of time out on the water canoe paddling and training. Hasse expertly combined deep tissue work, sports massage, and myofascial release to completely reset my tightest muscles.

Nancy was able to fit me in within two days, and her warm, inviting nature immediately put me at ease. I booked a 60-minute medical massage focused on the pain in my neck and shoulder. Her experience was clear in every movement. When asked, she was able to tell me exactly which muscle group she was targeting and why. The results were almost immediate—my pain went from a 7 down to a 2. I highly recommend.

I've had quite a few massages in the past, but my experience with Puni stood head & shoulders above the rest. I really appreciated how she addressed comments about my strained areas prior to the session, and I truly felt like she paid extra attention to them during the massage. The studio was comfortable and clean, and the relief I felt persisted into the days following the massage, unlike after others in which it has often lasted mere hours. I'll definitely be recommending her & returning in the future!

My sister and I and our two husbands all had massages at "Balanced Life Acupuncture and Massage" in Hilo and they were probably the best massages we have ever had! We are all massage junkies and so we know our stuff :-) Also the positive vibe of the masseuses was incredible and stayed with us even after we left the facility. I got acupuncture at a different place but I would definitely come back and try the acupuncture if I am back over to Hilo from Honolulu because they are so knowledgeable! We all said we would have come back the next day if we weren't on a cruise and forced to leave. My masseuse was Micha but they were both fantastic TRY THEM
