I supervised a big roofing job by Boyle Heights and WCR did a great job outlining every detail and issue we had with the commercial roof. They are good at what they do and hope they keep getting business for many more years.
With the last two big rain storms in SoCal, we had water dripping through our kitchen recessed lighting. Two families in San Marino referred West Coast Precision Roofing. I called right before Christmas Eve and was able to get scheduled for the first appt on Saturday, December 27th between 7am and 8am. The lady scheduling was kind, professional, and fit us in quickly, as I'm sure everyone calling is stressed out about a leak. I had already read all their great 5-star Yelp reviews mentioning the owner, Mike, as well as the foreman Vicente. Vicente showed up with a big friendly smile and was able to immediately find the source of the leak. He was able to repair on the spot, as well as carefully inspect our entire roof. His communication skills and knowledge were excellent, in relaying missing shingles blown off as well as parts of the roof that had incorrect materials installed - risking future leaks. We always love supporting local small businesses and look forward to receiving their estimate on other repairs. We are grateful that this minor leak issue was repaired today by Vicente!

Took a refresher course in preparation for a trip this winter. Instructor was very friendly, patient, and helpful with getting me comfortable in the water again. He was able to tell me a lot about the area I'll be diving in as well and seemed very knowledge. I just had a custom facial+ dermaplaning with Lulu and my skin is seriously glowing. I’ve been wanting to try dermaplaning for awhile and have had a few non toxic facials at other places and they totally pale in comparison to the results I received here.

Really enjoyed my experience here. Roy and Sylvia are very knowledgeable. The organic treatment I received in February lasted me about 5 & a half months which was amazing. The air ventilation room is amazing as I’ve never seen this in other salons before but is definitely great when doing any sort of hair treatment. Overall, I definitely recommend and find the prices to be extremely fair in comparison to the area.

This is the only salon where after getting my cut I was receiving attention in public. Both my son and I are very picky with trusting just anyone with his hair cut but the staff at Fade LA were amazing! They did a great job with my son's hair cut. Went for a cut with Marquis today for my first-time visit. Absolutely stellar. Hadn't had my hair cut in at least two months because I've been so busy with work and he tamed that mess. This was the first old-fashioned scissor cut I've had since moving to LA twenty years ago - everyone else used trimmers. Small little storefront on Ventura, plenty of metered parking on the side streets. Hot towel, aromatherapy, he even touched up my shave at no charge. He was focused on the work the whole time, very professional. I was a little nonplussed at first by the various instructions I received via TXT about how they handle appointments and payment, but once I saw Marquis in action it made sense. He runs the place like a well-oiled machine. Tipped him double the usual. Totally worth it.

I started going to the House of Blends Barber Studio when Apolonia went here from a previous salon. She is always a delight! She is interesting, entertaining, and knows her business. My hair and beard are always on point after visiting her, and I know yours will look great too. Apolonia is my favorite, but any barber here can do a great job for you, whatever your needs or style. To top it all off, the price is right! Treat yourself!

Very clean atmosphere
I've been doing red light and infrared sauna and it's my favorite spot to go to.
The staff are by far the friendliest and most helpful when visiting. You can tell that this establishment wants their customers to enjoy their experience every time.
They have parking in the back of the building and I have never had an issue getting a spot
I called at 11:30 interested in getting a powder dip manicure. Scheduled the appointment for 1:30 and got seen right as scheduled. The lady walked me through the differences between powder dip and gel. So far I'm super happy. Got the regular pedicure and he did a great job and gave an amazing massage.
If you're in Sherman Oaks and looking for the perfect nail salon, this place is a gem! The staff is incredibly friendly, professional, and detail-oriented. The salon is spotless, with a relaxing atmosphere, and they use high-quality products. My nails always look flawless and last for weeks. It was a nice experience, got my appointment worked on on time. Since I'm pretty picky for little details, I didn't have to worry much, the lady worked on me kept checking with me if I'm satisfied and if I needed any adjustments before moving onto the next step, so that was great! I was doing gel x for the first time and it turned out perfect!! So beautiful, I love it! Will need to come back to get these removed and future work done.

Just wanted to leave an update because once again, I had a wonderful experience and just felt it was important to keep this review out there for anyone looking for a great experience.
Arpi is the Manager/Owner, and she always ensures that guests are well taken care of. The staff is always exceptional in their services, and patient with their interaction with guests.
The pricing is also very very reasonable considering that you’re getting a five star service in a gorgeous Spa salon.
You can understand why people from “over the hill” would make the drive. Take a look at the photos and the other reviews and you’ll see why.
Besides resembling a five star spa, owners and management are considerate and the 2 technicians are excellent.
Everybody is welcoming, the services are very detailed, and they check in with you to make sure you’re happy.
Add to that that the pricing is competitive compared to other Russian manicure spas ($60 for regular polish mani), and parking is easy and accessible, and this is a great way to relax, do a little self-care, and walk out feeling “painted pretty”.
It’s clean, and the manager oversees the schedule with warmth and communication.
While both of the nail technicians are expert, I love going to Anna- but again both of them are wonderful.
Suggestions and minor complaints I’m ethically bound to share as a local guide:
As with most Russian manicure salons, the technicians themselves aren’t always able to clearly communicate sometimes. Which requires going through the manager to work out more detailed, nuanced conversation.
The manager sometimes leaves at 4, though clients are scheduled until 6 or 630 on some days, which leaves both them and you to sometimes need to make a call to the manager. They think this is perfectly fine, but it shows a lack of consideration for the client and their business in general.
Owners should ensure that there’s always someone who speaks fluent English there, or ant least someone to assist the manicurists, out of respect for clientele, if you’re charging $60-$140 + tip for services.
Also, they only have 2 technicians at present in this beautiful large space that clearly was intended originally for at least 8 technicians (there are over 8 pedicure luxury stations).
Given most of the Russian manicure spas have at least 4 technicians, it’s curious they only wish to employ 2- it means scheduling sometimes can be (very) challenging-
- it necessitates often going to other salons, honestly.
ONLY DOWNSIDE: I’ve been frequenting the salon for about 12 months, and to my knowledge they have not added new technicians in the 4 months, so still have to go elsewhere at times.
But besides these issues, the place still is a delight, and when you can book in, it’s generally a great experience!

Great place for a Mani Pedi. They have massage chairs and are a friendly group of people. It's always easy to get an appointment on a weekend and they get you in and out quickly while doing a great job.

After visiting a few times and trying a few of the many spots in the area, X Nails has become my go to salon. I’ve gotten pedicures, gel x and regular gel manis, everything has been great. They are always getting new trendy and seasonal gel colors. Love the clean atmosphere, friendly techs, and reasonable prices. I was literally in shock that my regular pedi with an add on extra scrub and cat eye gel mani was only $90!
I’ve been going to Lynn’s Nails for years… I’ve gone to other places for research and they’re either much more expensive or lack on their service. Lynn is good and consistent. They’re always clean. It’s a small saloon (not many workers) so call ahead if you can, cash is better for them, they do take credit cards so you must use it at least do bring cash for the tip. She’s old style and hard work.
Updated Review as they are now in Sherman Oaks next to Casa Vega on Ventura near Fulton. The new space rocks! High ceilings so there is no chemical smell of nails...Great decor and super clean. Owner Lani has a talented crew- I recommend Diana for pedicures- Kevin for both and Lani is the best of the best for hands and massaging my hands. They have reasonable prices- do gel, dipping powder, and she has a great personality. GO and check it out. They do take walk-ins and are honest about wait times. Still my #1 nail place!
I have been going to this nail salon for over 25 years. It used to be All Star Nails and now has a new owner and it’s called Naillywood. All of the ladies are very nice. Sandy, the manager, does my manicure and Michele does my pedicure. Sandy is a very talented nail artist and also hand paints flowers on my toes. I always get lots of compliments! I love this salon and highly recommend it!!!
Nail to cute! I went to get my toes done for the first time ever I usually do them myself. I called in to check their availability and they told me I was able to walk in, which was great. Kim did my pedicure and did a fantastic job. She took her time and I love how they turned out. Stuff is super friendly and salon is clean.

Tried this salon for the first time today and I was extremely nervous, but my nail tech made me feel comfortable. She suggested I try GelX and even though I was hesitant I decided to give it a try and they look AMAZING. She was so precise with every bit of shaping and picked the most beautiful shade of red for me. I will be back for sure.

Waxing & Skin Care by Gwen is a hidden gem! It is difficult to find a waxing studio whose services for men includes male Brazilian waxing (aka Brozilian or Boyzilian). I even completed a course of laser hair removal so as to not deal with the lack of this particular service for men, and I wish I had met Gwen before I did! Gwen is a professional esthetician, and she made me feel safe and comfortable. She understood the skin issues related to my experience with laser hair removal, and talked me through the steps to remove any concern or doubt. Her studio was clean, her waxing service was quick and efficient, and her prices were reasonable. Excellent communication ahead of the appointment and parking was easy to find, too. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Stella is amazing! I had been interested in trying a buccal massage for such a long time, because of the health benefits, but I was also very nervous because like many women I have trauma and buccal massage is incredible intimate. Stella made me feel so comfortable, so fast, without even trying. She naturally has a very chill, relaxed vibe. She explained the service to me accurately without feeling stuffy or making me feel awkward about what I didn’t know. She maintained a gentle conversation with me that allowed me to understand what was going on and talk through my discomfort. The entire service was incredibly relaxing and Stella really took the time to get me to a relaxed state and feeling safe prior to the actual buccal massage. If you’ve never tried, it will blow your mind when you feel the weight and tension lifted. It’s really interesting how much tension we hold in our faces without realizing. I recently received a gift card for a 75-minute bespoke facial with Kathryn and, my goodness, am I glad I did. My experience at Skin Serviss was superb. One of those rare experiences that is just so good from beginning to end. The space is clean and beautiful. Easy to access off the 101 with a private parking lot behind the building.The space and Kathryn's professional attention is all yours while you're there. Kathryn is the perfect blend of direct and very-detail oriented while also being incredibly warm and a joy to be with. The facial was tailored to exactly what my skin needed and she talked me through each thing she was doing and why. Kathryn has over 25 years of experience and you can feel it when you're there. She answered questions I had and was wonderful to refer me to several things she thought might benefit me that she does not offer (i.e. only offered in medical offices) -- which I really appreciated. I also appreciated that when I mentioned certain products I already use, she acknowledged when they were good formulations rather than trying to sell me something else. It feels good to know that if she offers me something it is because she truly believes it would be of service to my skin. The facial involved many steps that exfoliated, brightened, and nourished my skin -- all while Kathryn massaged my neck, shoulders, arms, hands and feet. I left feeling like I was floating on a cloud with my skin absolutely glowing. That was yesterday. My skin looks even better today. I will be back.

I’ve never felt the need to review her as her work speaks for itself as photographers and models always rehire her for future work. I felt the need to review her to actually address the last 2 reviews posted in the las 24 hours....Firstly Penny Albritton or Adrianna or whatever your name may be.....even if you did ever work for Shannella why are you reviewing her for her work? If you used to be an employee why are you personally reviewing her? Did she ever do your makeup? If not you should remove your review. Secondly, I called Tribez Salon in Danville and they’ve had an employee under that name several years ago but currently there are no employees under that name. Which is super weird.The weirdest thing of all is the amount of false reviews claiming Shannella offers hair services. Because she never has ever. It’s always only been makeup. Everything feels nice and solid now!They came in and fixed this without trying to sell us a whole new doorknob and lock.We’ve had them come in previously to install deadbolts in our house when we first moved in, and they did a stellar job on that too.

You have to hire Mike if you want your floor done right! We are doing a kitchen remodel in an 85 year old house. We have the original floors in our entire home and wanted to match them in the kitchen. Mike and his team did an outstanding job matching the floor so it is flush and seamless with NO threshold from the dining room to the kitchen. They had to remove four layers of flooring, about 1,000 nails and screws to get to the original layer of the home which had sunk (5 inches) in one area and swelled in another. They spent a lot of time and paid close attention to resolve the underlying issues and make them level. The floors are stunning. I am so pleased with the quality and fantastic service. They also cleaned up everywhere each day and when they were done. I would never hire anyone else to do our floors now.

I've been going to dr. rob for over a decade. He has cured EVERYTHING you can imagine - from skin problems to digestion issues. Things conventional medicine could not - I originally went to him because I had exhausted so many specialists that could not find out what was wrong with me - I am healthier now today then I was younger because of him - he cured them all where conventional medicine could not. I go to him every month whether sick or well to keep my body tuned up and I'm in great health. I don't understand all the techniques he uses how it works or what, all I can say is it works - stick with it - trust - sometimes it takes time to solve a problem - being on supplements a few months a year or more, finally it's gone, sometimes it's literally the next day. I've even had things healed that conventional medicine said there is no cure for. I've sent numerous friends and family to him that have had the same experience. His staff is wonderful. He's the real deal, a true healer. As a side note, I am not against conventional medicine, it does some amazing things, I use both. But mainly , Rob, as he actually has CURED me, not put a bandaid on things like conventional medicine sometimes does.

I cannot express how much I adore Avenue Of The Paws. I've been a loyal customer for about a year and a half, and l've experienced service from two groomers. The first groomer, Tahlia, was sweet and kind to my dog Maisy, a purebred golden retriever. She was efficient, usually finishing within an hour. Unfortunately, Tahlia no longer works there.
When Tahlia left, I was assigned a new groomer, Frankie, who is nothing short of an angel on earth. Frankie is the best groomer l've ever had. From the first visit, Maisy was overjoyed to meet her, which was quite surprising since she'd never reacted that way before, not even with Tahlia. Frankie has a special touch; she quickly got Maisy into the grooming van, something that Tahlia occasionally struggled with.
Frankie's grooming sessions take a bit longer--around two hours--but the results are worth it. The first time, I was concerned because I was used to the quicker turnaround.
However, when Frankie opened the door, Maisy looked like she'd lost 20 pounds of fur! The deshedding was incredible.
Maisy was soft, fluffy, and smelled wonderful, feeling like silk to the touch.
Since then, l've only requested Frankie, and she consistently does an amazing job. She is highly knowledgeable about different dog breeds, knowing exactly which ones can be groomed in specific ways. Her gentle and caring nature makes her exceptional with the pets. Maisy adores her, and I always feel at ease leaving Maisy in her capable hands.
The only downside is the cost. At $235 per grooming session for my golden retriever, it is pricey. However, the quality of service and care Frankie provides makes it worth every penny.

I've been taking both prenatal yoga and Aqua Mamas classes with Georgina at Two Hearts Yoga since around 14 weeks of this pregnancy. I absolutely love how Georgina runs her prenatal yoga classes. Her flows and poses feel safe and supportive for our growing bodies and babies, but they aren't overly easy and still feel challenging. She encourages you to modify depending on how you feel and I always leave class feeling strong and empowered - exactly what I want and need as I prepare for this birth. The Aqua Mamas classes are just heavenly. They take place in a heated pool in an oasis that is her back yard. We use pool "weights", bands, and noodles during class. Similar to her yoga classes there is room for you to modify and get a good workout or take it easy and just enjoy stretching and being buoyant in the water. Class sizes are intimate and on the smaller side. It's a treasure to be surrounded by other pregnant women sharing stories, milestones, or just our latest aches and pains! I'm in my 39th week now - still taking yoga at Two Hearts and still feeling great. I attribute that to moving, stretching, and feeding off of the strong feminine energy that permeates her classes.
I have been an avid yogi for over 20 years but felt it was time to step up my exercise game...My sister started coming here and kept telling me to join. Finally I took an introductory class with Julia and boom!!! I was hooked. My daughter came along and together we signed up for 2 months at their introductory rate. After that the price is the normal monthly rate for 8 classes, $249. I really enjoy every instructor here. Each one has their own vibe, but they all are very clear on how to keep your body aligned and guide you through each movement. Whitney is awesome with a very calming and effective voice. Alaina is easy to talk to but don't let that fool you, she will kick your body into shape...Julia, also wonderful and works your body. Candice, also awesome!!! Can't say enough about the staff & instructors. My body is definitely more toned and my behind is very happy. Lol! *They are very clear on the membership and you can freeze it if necessary but they do still charge $25 a month until you release your freeze. Then it goes back to your monthly rate. *You can pay class to class but that most definitely will cost you more money *Memberships are 4, 8 or unlimited classes per month. *The rates are locked in once you sign up.
Clean, bright space. Liz is a great instructor, patient and takes her time to make sure to explain the moves and proper form.
The place was clean. Equipment was well maintained. Octavia is super focused on form and keeping her clients safe.
Best massage ever. Jenna is awesome. Knows EXACTLY what she is doing, hands are magic and she really cares about making you feel good and giving you relief! Went while pregnant and now I’m postpartum and plan on cont to go to her!
Marybel is the best massage therapist I've found in LA. Talk to her about your pains and aches, she will find them and make them feel better. Her deep tissue skills are for real, and she will always check in to make sure the pressure is right for you. Marybel cares about her clients and their wellbeing, her massages are the perfect combination of relaxing and therapeutic.
Just had a nice 1 hour massage in a clean and very friendly establishment. My appointment was confirmed and my session started and ended on time. Soothing music while I was being massaged - complimentary water provided at the end. I will be back soon !

Very clean space, the person who gave me a massage was incredible strong for their small stature. Excellent technique and they were very responsive to any tender spots that were causing me pain in the beginning of the session. I felt like a million bucks walking out of this business. Well worth the money!
My girlfriend and I had a couple's massage at Linda Lue's last week and had a wonderful experience. We worked with Saifon and Tina. Both of them were kind, professional, and great masseuses. The atmosphere was relaxing, and in my opinion, they used the perfect amount of pressure (enough to release tension, but not so much to where it would be painful). We also felt that what was included in the massage was a great value compared to other places we've been to (full body massage, hot stones, hot towels, oil, etc). The front desk staff accommodated a last minute change which we appreciated. We had only scheduled for one person, but they were able to add me on at the last minute. We will definitely go back!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Femina PT! Kasia, in particular, I have worked with for five years. When I met her I had just had abdominal surgery for colon cancer. She not only helped in my recovery with pelvic floor therapy, but also helped resolve a shoulder injury that was 5 years old at the time. She helped me through two more very serious abdominal surgeries, as well as a pregnancy! Because I have had so much success with Kasia and physical therapy, I work with Kasia on a weekly basis for strength and conditioning training. We do a combo of Pilates, Yoga, weights, interval training and meditation. This keeps me pain and injury-free, while also improving my fitness and promoting longevity as I age.
I have also worked with Anna for strength and conditioning training. She is also excellent - highly recommend! I learned so much about the science behind different strength exercises. She is also trained in Yoga, Pilates and meditation.
Truly an amazing place if you are looking for help from surgeries, injuries, anything pelvic floor, pregnancy, and strength and conditioning. It is a particularly safe and welcoming space with a wonderful group of people.
Earlier this year I completed my ACL repair rehabilitation at Bechtel under the care of Dr. Daniel Echeverry, and I can't express enough how grateful I am for the experience. As a high school athlete this injury was both physically and emotionally challenging. However, Daniel, along with the entire staff, made the journey not just bearable but incredibly fun as well as educational. Daniel was phenomenal as he was not only knowledgeable, but he was patient and genuinely invested in my recovery. He tailored my therapy sessions to meet my goals, ensuring I regained not only my strength, mobility, but most importantly my confidence in my ability with each progression. His expertise kept me motivated, and his encouragement made a huge difference during tough sessions. The entire team at Bechtel was also fantastic from the moment I walked in, everyone was super kind, caring, and genuine which was awesome being in a new environment. Thanks to Daniel and the amazing team, I got back on the court in time for my senior year and had a fantastic season which no further knee issues. I highly recommend Bechtel to anyone needing physical therapy, especially to other athletes. Their dedication, expertise, and family like atmosphere made all the difference in my recovery process!
When my acupuncturist moved to Calabasas, it was like a break-up - I loved her, but the traffic on the 101 finally wore me down. So I searched for someone in my town, Sherman Oaks, and found Kelly, who was right around the corner. I didn't know what I was getting into - yes she has glowing reviews, but don't they all? I walked into her office with few expectations . . . and a mass of nerves due to the holidays and everything else happening in life.
Well, I was reassured the moment I entered. Kelly and her space just projects calm and thoughtful care. And I noticed right away that she takes her time. She listens, works gently and with a near-miraculous painlessness, and then she gives you all the time you need on the table with the calming music playing. With other acupuncturists it was always 20 minutes - Kelly leaves you to heal with at least 20 minutes extra. This is true, deep-down meditative relaxation that in itself does a world of good.
That was our first session, which was very good. Then, like I said, she listens. We talked over a couple of things during the next session and it was far better, and seems to improve with every new visit.
I respond well to acupuncture, and have a fair amount of experience with it going back 15 years. I can say that my sessions with Kelly are the best I've had. If she wasn't just around the corner I would drive 20 miles to see her.

I want to thank Dr. Neal for giving me back my life. I came back to him in excruciating pain from a pinched spinal column. He previously made the pain on my right side disappear, not to return one year later. Then, I fell and the result was sciatica on my left side. I could barely walk so, I came back. I could tell when I was getting better at about the 12th treatment. I am better with each treatment now. He is more than an acupuncturist with years of experience. He is part physical therapist, part physical trainer and understands his patient's bodies very well. I follow what he tells me because he knows what he is doing. All I ask of a doctor is that they do their job. Neal Harris does just that. His office might seem different to some - but appearances are not everything. I am not exaggerating when I say that he gave me back my life.
I can't wait to see Dr. Kim every week. He makes me feel so much better. You can't go wrong with him and he takes some insurances as well!
