I joined Club Pilates in July of 2023. After the trial class I signed up for 2 classes a week (8 per month). After my second class, I decided I wanted to go more often! I signed up for the biggest package. I had taken private Pilates classes many years ago. I did them because they were good for me. I didn't love it. Something about the instructors here or the energy of smallish classes (12 max) has made me LOVE Pilates and especially Club Pilates. My daughter kept hearing me and when she came in, she too was hooked! Did I mention how much I love the instructors? I do! Especially Whitney, Alaina and Jari. They're great teachers and very knowledgeable and helpful. No judgement...read full review
It is very rare that I give a place an excellent review. I have been to a lot of different Pilates studios over the years. Club Pilates in Sherman Oaks has quality teachers, each with their own style of teaching...all delightful. Plus the Pilates workout is amazing, don't get me started! I have been doing Pilates since Pilates wasn't a thing yet and it has saved my joints, plus my body looks great for an old broad! I realize that it's a bit overwhelming to walk into a studio with 12 reformers, especially if you are new or are used to working out in a smaller studio. The teachers make it work....they teach you the techniques in the beginning classes and kick your butt...read full review
I had never done Pilates before and never tried a reformer machine class until going here. I really like the intro class before joining just so you can get more step by step instruction before you officially join. I started off with one class a week and I’ve enjoyed it so much that I’ve upgraded to start doing two classes a week. I’ve done yoga, rock climbing, and CrossFit before but due to the pandemic and still working from home, I wasn’t feeling ready to jump back into either of those workouts again. This has been the perfect easing back in to regular activity and I notice how in several of the movements I’m reengaging mind/body connection that I’ve built...read full review
