“Gil is the best personal trainer i have ever worked with and i say that because; - he is extremely knowledgable and is able to teach what he know in the simplest form. - he is keeping all sessions fun while exhaustive and effective. He knows how to motivate different personalities and bring them to end of session with no more energy left in them and a smile on their faces. - he really cares about safety and ensures you will not be hurt or incur injuries. - he keeps the environment friendly and pleasant at all times. - he gives you enough reasons to return! Also the studio is nice. Well equipped and clean. Parking is easy and the area is nice. Whatever your fittness goal is, he can definitely help you.“

“It's an Honor for both of my children to be training at Dragons Den MMA. It truly helps , keeps my kids focused, and motivated to protect themselves. It's fun and my kids love it! It's nice to see how the instructors are so passionate and involved with all the children. Not just at the Den, but to their School and Education. Investing themselves so much about Kajukenbo. The teachings to their students making sure they work hard. To learn every move and form of Martial Arts.. It feels like we're part of an awesome family supporting community of people. I Highly recommend Dragons Den MMA to everyone in Union City, Ca. OHANA!“

“Steve is absolutely THE BEST!I look forward to our sessions ( only with a little dread )I have been going to Steve for about 6 months now ( and don't plan on stopping ever) - my core strength has improved so much I never thought it was possible for me to do some of the things I do with ease now. A sweet side benefit is the chiseled looks Steve always keeps it challenging and fun.If you don't see many reviews, it's likely because people who get a spot with Steve keep it forever like me.“

“This review is long overdue. Rob, the trainer at 3Strong, has been training me on-and-off for years now and he's helped me reach goals that I previously thought were completely out-of-reach. Originally, I was a self-taught weightlifter with dreams of seeing an Arnold-type physique staring back at me in the mirror. I read Arnold's encyclopedia, I frequented all the bodybuilding websites, I read the science-y sounding articles sprinkled across the web... But eventually I realized that it was both foolish and risky to trust the wellbeing of my body to my interpretation of what was mostly bro science. These "simple" movements that weightlifters rely on (i.e. the squat and the deadlift) can lead to serious injuries if done improperly. I felt like I knew a lot, but like the saying goes, you don't know what you don't know. There are a lot of personal trainers in this area, and I wanted to find a trainer whose credentials and experience stood out from the rest. So I did a little reading up on the various personal training certifications out there, and I felt the NSCA CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) seemed to require more out of its members than did the other certification associations. For instance, the NSCA requires its candidates possess a Bachelor's degree to earn the CSCS certification, whereas the NASM-CPT certification only requires a high school diploma. So after looking around for a CSCS trainer, I stumbled on Rob's name in some trainer database. From what I could tell, a CSCS could technically have a degree in Basket Weaving and be allowed to join the organization. I saw that Rob has a Masters in Kinesiology (the study of human body movement), which demonstrated to me that this guy knows a lot more about the human body than does the average Joe. Not only that, but he had been a trainer at that point for years. Between his certifications and his experience, I felt Rob was the best choice on paper. I signed up. Rob works out of a gym with a really interesting mix of equipment. There are the requisite barbells, dumbbells, and squat racks necessary to safely perform the big compound movements (bench press, squat, deadlift), but when you get bored of those tired old exercises, there are kettlebells, gymnastic rings, Bulgarian bags, sandbags, tires... It's pretty hard to be bored! He was able to critique my form and help me execute movements with confidence. Also, he structured a personalized workout program to get me to my goal in a smarter way. And eventually, after sticking with the plan, I got to a point where I was pretty happy with the aesthetics of my body. These days, my goals are less aesthetic and more functional. For instance, I was inspired to run an ultra-marathon awhile ago. Rob helped me figure out a training plan as well as an effective race-day plan that ended up working really well. Also, I find that though I'm able to push myself pretty hard at the gym, Rob motivates me to push far past my typical limits. And to be honest, there is a certain satisfaction to exert myself to that point (and it really helps that Rob always has interesting things to talk about to distract me from the muscle fatigue). If you're looking for a trainer who has both the knowledge and the practical experience, if you're looking for a trainer who will work with you to figure out how to reach your physical goals (whether they be bodybuilding, powerlifting, or sports focused), if you're looking for a trainer who knows a million ways to push you to where you need to be - I couldn't imagine a trainer I'd recommend more highly than Rob.“

“The gym is for tenants of PRC, so it's not public. You register on their website and sign in at the front each visit, but there's no limit to the number of visits. They have a good selection of equipment, with some free weights, several machines, and a range of cardio equipment. The hours are a bit limited, but it's still an extremely convenient gym.“

“I have been an athlete and a trainer. I've always been active and know the importance of staying healthy but as with many people, life took over and I let myself become more and more sedentary as I focused on other projects. I really needed a jump start and found that at Own It Fitness. Miguel, Taylor and the entire team could not have been kinder when I approached them about starting, and there was absolutely no judgement. Miguel sat down with me to discuss short and long term goals. They focus on the whole picture and help guide you as you set your goals. The semi-private training and one on one training is held in an inviting studio environment, and is thoughtfully personalized for each individual. Alberto (my trainer while I was there) is extremely patient and passionate about what he does. Whether you are a beginner or experienced with working out and training, the Own It Fitness team is amazing. They will support you in reaching your fitness goals while helping you find a way to fit it into your lifestyle.“

“Esther is a great personal trainer and I am very happy to train with her. She is very kind and supportive. She pays really great detail to how the body is responding every workout and adapts as necessary which has kept me going. I have worked with many in the past and working with Esther has been truly transformative in my attitude to working out and seeing the difference in my body in a short period of time. I now look forward to working out!“

“This man changed my life. I am not exaggerating.I started working out with him last year in 2021 and at the time I was skinny-fat, had no stamina, and was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Now my body definition has changed drastically for the better, I feel more energized on the regular, and I'm en route to diabetes remission! I no longer see the belly sticking out when I wear some of my shirts and I'm in perhaps the best physical condition ever. Also he knows exactly what type of workouts you need in order to reach your goals. If I had worked out by myself, I would've made little progress. With James, he knows very well how and when to exercise certain parts of the body for ideal results.I think what's the best thing about working out with James is that he's not only a mentor and trainer for me, but also someone who I would consider a friend. I fully recommend training with James if you have the chance. If you put in the effort, you will see results!!“

“I have been training at this dojo for 12 years, and I can confidently say that Taekwondo has had a positive impact on my life. Through the life-applicable guidance of Master T and Master Fong's engaging lessons (along with Master Brian), I have learned a variety of techniques, and along with that, I've developed a persistent mindset. In addition to the art itself, I learned about the values that are essential to daily life. Even in my life outside this art (in school or other activity), I value the tenets of Taekwondo: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit. I hope that I use these traits to become successful.I initially joined because my dad wanted me to learn self defense. I was hesitant at first, but now I realize that dedicating more than half my life to Taekwondo is a decision I will never regret.Thank you so much, Martial Arts America! I am honored to be a part of this wonderful community!“

“This place is EVERYTHING. I started coming to Body Mechanix in Feb 2022 with the intention of shedding a few lbs before my wedding in August and became addicted. My goals have changed -- instead of just looking good, I go to BM to feel good, to challenge my mind and body and to build community. I am genuinely happier and more fulfilled since becoming a member.Body Mechanix offers group classes every morning and a 6pm and 7pm class in the evenings. You can also sign up for open gym during the day. The classes vary between trainers and conditioning and strength focuses but ALWAYS leave you feeling satisfied and challenged. The trainers provide variations and encourage you to challenge yourself. When I first started coming to Body Mechanix I had never lifted a bar bell, I now know the safe mechanics of lifting and performing other exercises.Body Mechanix is all about community, the trainers and the BM team plans events, outings, parties, challenges, and celebrations for the members. The trainers care about the members and their clients and the memebers are all so friendly! It is so refreshing to be part of such a genuine community.Special S/O to the trainers current and past trainers -Terrell, Angelo, Nico, Melvin, Remy, Andy, Miguel, Jorge, Joseph. “The price for membership is very reasonable. I went ahead and got their top membership so I could access the massage chairs and hydro massage beds. And I'm still paying LESS than my old gym, which was not as clean and professional as Planet Fitness.“
