Best hair salon- Fifi is such a sweetheart and an absolute magician with hair! I got a long overdue curtain bangs cut with layers and she absolutely delivered. My hair was some of the bounciest and shiniest right after, she gave me tips on blow drying and product recs. And not only that, but the cut has grown out so naturally! Really looking forward to my next cut with Fifi, and hopefully planning on some color too!

My six year old got his first barbershop cut by Mr. Norman and he loved it. He felt grown with all the other men getting their hair and beard trims. Norm was so patient with him and took his time. It was $25 for his cut, which is significantly less than the other local salons are charging for kids. Plus they have all the same fun item: books, toys and huge screen tvs. There's also an ice cream shop next door which is just a bonus!
I get a haircut every few weeks with Dave and it is a great cut and experience. He is very attentive and personable. There are not a lot of local barbers since Golden Shears closed down but this is the old school barber experience, if this is what you are looking for.

Have lived in the area for a while and was looking for a new nail salon - found Sky Nails based on their reviews and have had a wonderful experience! The first gel manicure I got for a vacation lasted a full 3 weeks, and when I got the gel removed there they were careful not to file down my natural nails, leaving my nails looking healthy and smooth. Prices are competitive for the area and the shop is cozy, the people working there are kind and efficient - I would absolutely recommend it.

First time having my home systems serviced (AC, tankless water heater and furnace). Both Sal and Matthew are friendly, courteous and professional. Sal answered all my initial questions and booked by service right away. And Matthew was very polite and I hardly noticed he was there while he did his job. Showed me what he did at the end and answered any questions I had. Definitely recommend and will be using them again.
I've used Commando Plumbing for quite a few plumbing jobs over the last 3-4 months - replacing three toilets, swapping out a kitchen faucet, fixing a clogged sink, replacing a broken garbage disposal, replacing two broken shut-off valves at the kitchen sink, replacing a shower valve, fixing another shower's hot/cold water imbalance, and I'm probably forgetting a few other things! Throughout my experience, I dealt with Leo, who was a pleasure to work with. He was transparent about options and their costs, and never tried to sell me on anything or pressure me in any direction. Originally, I wanted the caulking around our tile/glass shower replaced as well. However, when Leo started working on it, he found water and calcium build-up where there shouldn't be. He recommended talking to a specialist for a permanent fix rather than him doing a "band-aid" that could potentially lead to further damage in the future. (He was right - we actually need to replace the glass walls and the frame holding the glass in place.) If I have plumbing problems in the future (and given my recent last few months, I am sure I will!), I have Commando Plumbing's number ready.

I called in the afternoon for a bad leak in my son's bathroom and 24/7 had a plumber, Mike, come out to see the leak. He left to get the proper parts and then he returned to finish the job! The first thing I liked was the short amount of time that he repaired the leak, and how knowledgeable he was! ?? I will use them should another problem arise!
We had a biohazard situation with a broken sewage pipe, so time was of the essence. I called a few other companies who couldn't work us in or didn't return calls. Ryan, the owner of Aqua Plumbing, was communicative and came out to inspect and eventually do the work himself. He had to saw through large tree roots to cut the pipe and replace it. He also fixed a toilet. He may not have been the cheapest, but he respected our natural surroundings, understood the urgency, and completed the job quickly. I would use him again and hope he stays in the area.
Had a dangerous short in our switch box over the weekend and called Go Brilliant on a Saturday and they came out quickly. After diagnosing the problem and making sure the remaining wiring was safe they came back Monday morning to rewire the box and add a new junction box. Angel and Carlos were great and explained things with great clarity. Very appreciative of the prompt professional service.
We've been working with Ray for years now on anything related to electric needs around the home. He just installed new path lighting around the front and back yard. We remodeled our house in Belmont by adding a second floor and completely reconfiguring our first floor. We received bids from several builders but decided to go with Tony. We were living in Menlo Park at the time, and it turns out he lived on our street! Tony presented us with a reasonable bid for the work, and in the end, we are very glad we went with him. Tony has gathered a team of subcontractors over 30 years in the business that he trusts and that do excellent work. He is a great communicator, and he always kept us informed what was being done, what was next, and what additional things he recommended should be/needed to be done. The remodel took longer than we wanted but this was due to our choice not to hire an interior designer but to do all the work in choosing the kitchen designer, tiles, pulls, designing our bathrooms etc. ourselves. But that aside, Tony’s crew did a fantastic job with the new addition even navigating through issues with the design that looked fine on paper but didn’t quite work out as planned. For example, when a door (that would lead down to the garage) would not fit under the new stairs to the second floor, he just moved the garage stairs and made it part of the house (see pics) which turned out very nice, making our great room look even more open! Another positive for Tony is that he gives an honest opinion, especially given we were choosing our own accents. This saved us from a few mistakes we would have regretted, like our kitchen backsplash. In a way, it felt like we were designing our interior (and exterior) together, so Tony was sort of an interior designer (free of charge). Overall, it was a pleasure working with Tony and his crew. Their attention to detail and being sensitive to our needs was top notch. We highly recommend Nolasco Construction.

We had a great experience with Lifetime Remodeling. We engaged them on a full basement remodel covering over 2,000 sq ft, including a bathroom, multiple bedrooms, converting an old workshop room to a wine room, and opening up a family room and children's play room. We're thrilled with the results. The team (James, Holly, Stacey, Matt, Stefan, and others) were all great to work with. The design support was excellent. James, the project leader, partnered with us through the entire project and drove it to conclusion. We also appreciated his frequent updates and constant availability for questions or follow-ups. The team was respectful of our house and delivered on everything they said they would do. We'll continue to use Lifetime for future projects.

Slightly overdue, but I had a wonderful experience at my appointment with Karen. I arrived on the dot and was able to easily find my way to her apartment complex where she practices. I opted for 1.5hr massage and from beginning to end was a very relaxing experience. I suffer from issues in my upper torso, neck, and lower back specifically and I felt at ease as Karen began to work out the sections of my body that had problems. The pressure of her massage wasn't overbearing, but more so methodical and thoughtful. I've had some massages in the past where I felt genuinely awful, but with Karen I only felt slightly sore. I'm a smaller wire build and Karen really put me at ease as she targeted the points of my back and didn't overdo it like so many people tend to do.
