“I had never had personal training, but I needed to do something different after a couple years behind a desk. Hitting the gym in isolation was sounding tedious, and was too easy to put off.Even after 15 sessions, I am noticing a huge different in my body, flexibility, and energy levels. Aside from being a great guy, Max has a vast portfolio of exercises, stretches, rolls, and cardio to pull from. He tailors every session and constantly introduces me to movements I have never done before.The result is a super engaging workout, with a ton of compound movements mixed with new variations on conventional exercises, and a very holistic approach to balance, stability, and health. I plan to continue working with Max, but a lot of what he is teaching me will stick with me for the rest of my life.Very highly recommended.“

“The coaches are very welcoming and meet you where you are. They work with people of all sizes and abilities and make the workouts challenging yet fun. They also assign a coach to help you with nutrition, goals and healthy habits over Zoom every week. This was an added surprise and benefit. If I had been able to continue with Fittrac, I would have happily done so. IT is really a great program for over 40 people looking to get in shape.“

“My experience with Matty at More Than Fitness PT has been great! I started several months ago with the goal of increasing muscle and strength in a safe and injury-free manner. As a woman in her 50's with previous injuries, that's no small order. But Matty has delivered! He even makes it fun, or as fun as it can be, I should say. I honestly feel stronger and am so happy that I took the plunge and called Matty. He set me up with an assessment and from there I purchased 5 training sessions. He wasn't just a trainer, he was a motivator, a mentor, and a genuine cheerleader throughout my fitness journey. “I contacted Training Spaces late one night when I was feeling frustrated with my lack of progress. Let me back up a bit... I'm a woman in my early 40's, two young kids, and I run about 2-3x a week. After my youngest became fairly self-sufficient, I decided to get back in shape. I thought it would be pretty easy because I'd done it before with my first kid. But this time, after working out for 3 months straight, I saw no progress. I even increased running to 7 days a week. And yet, every morning when I woke up, I felt like a truck hit me. I also noticed other changes, like falling/staying asleep became difficult, my cycle was off, etc. I did a bunch of research and realized I was going through perimenopause. One of the suggested methods to get through perimenopause is to build muscle and regain strength, so that's why, late one night, I found Training Spaces and decided to sign up.I'm now in week 7 with Charles, and here are the results I'm seeing:- My sleep is more regulated. I can fall/stay asleep for at least 6-7 hours a night, versus erratic 2-4 hour cycles before.- My cycle is closer to what it used to be, and I no longer have heavy symptoms.- I can eat almost anything I want without huge blood sugar spikes.- I am much stronger. I'm able to lift my 5-year old without taking out my back.- I have so much energy now. I wake up at 7 am, and literally go all day until 11 pm, and I feel fine. I used to crash around 3-4 pm, and wonder how I'd make it to the kid's bedtime, and by 9 pm, I'd be so exhausted (and still couldn't fall asleep!).- Lastly, though this wasn't a goal of mine, I'm now back to my pre-kid weight from 10 years ago.If I had known I'd feel this way, I would've started this process much sooner. I wouldn't have waited until I lost this much muscle before trying to build it back up again. I am grateful I found this place, and my trainer Charles, who's been so helpful and a joy to work with. So if you're a new mom, a new dad, a woman going through perimenopause or menopause, and you just feel exhausted or not quite yourself, I'd highly recommend taking the first step and reach out to these guys. They know what they're doing, and you'll start to feel much better very soon.“

“Candy has to be the best Personal Fitness Trainer in the MountainView area. I trained twice a week, and felt the workouts were customized and kept changing every single time to have the interest and excitement increasing. I found the workouts impactful based on my goals. They were intense but Candy definitely checked in on the form, motivated through it and made the whole process fun. “The gym is for tenants of PRC, so it's not public. You register on their website and sign in at the front each visit, but there's no limit to the number of visits. They have a good selection of equipment, with some free weights, several machines, and a range of cardio equipment. The hours are a bit limited, but it's still an extremely convenient gym.“

“My wife and I have been working with Jason for years and we truly cannot say enough good things about him. He has everything you want in a trainer: professionalism; unparalleled expertise on all things health and wellness related; and a kind, friendly approach that will appeal to anyone. He knows just how hard to push you so you are always advancing, but not so much that you risk injuries, or become too intimidated to continue. He is open-minded, creative, and collaborative. For people who are pregnant or thinking of becoming pregnant, know that he helped train my wife throughout her pregnancy and afterwards. Without a doubt, he is the reason that my wife was able to follow her own birth plan-the doctor was skeptical that she would be able to deliver without a C-section given the size of our baby and because she had spent 2 days in labor before beginning to push. But Jason had helped prepare her-both her core and her stamina-and she was able to deliver our kid safely in under 2 hours. The doctor called her the 'best pusher' she's ever seen-and that is because of Jason. In other words, he is perfect. Jason is also just a funny, smart, and interesting guy to be around-we have enjoyed not just working with him, but becoming his friend. We trust him with our life, and you will, too.“

“Melanie Worthy has been wonderful to work with! I've struggled with bad headaches and neck pain for years due to muscle spasms around my shoulders. I'd tried working with a couple PTs and acupuncturists in the past, without seeing much change. But Melanie is trained in trigger point therapy (also known as dry needling), which is much more effective at addressing muscle spasms--and I've experienced a big reduction in tightness and pain after only a couple sessions. Thanks a lot Melanie!“

“Let me preface anything I say here with the fact that I am neither a natural athlete, nor have I ever liked working out.With that said, the Tosetti team has somehow gotten me to a point in my life where I can’t imagine a life NOT doing squats, punching bags, wrestling, and swinging swords. It’s probably high time I left a review, since I’ve been going here since September 2018.Fitness classes are like a giant game of “Simon Says.” Coach Melissa and Coach Geralyn are amazing, and some of the warmest, most welcoming people I’ve ever met. Their patience and encouragement when I started these classes went a long way to bolster my confidence. Again, I’ve never liked working out, so I also had no idea what I was doing, and being told what to do did me a whole lot of good. They were happy to start me off with baby steps and add challenges as I progressed, and are always ready to show you alternatives if you have certain limitations, such as joint issues.Wrestling classes—when I say I knew nothing about working out, I knew even less about wrestling. I actually started these classes because of the sword classes (that’s a long story). Coach Paul officially teaches these (with the occasional supervised wrestling sessions from… another Paul), and has somehow shown me, at 5’4’’, how to throw people who tower over me. The classes tend to be a mix of all levels of experience and weight classes, and Coach Paul will often cater his lesson that day to the needs of the class demographic. It’s a whole lot of fun.Lastly, sword classes are what I joined Tosetti Institute for (and since I joined, they’ve added a polearms class to the weapons repertoire). These are not the kind of sword fighting classes that usually come to mind in the modern era, such as the foil fencing you see in the Olympics. We’re talking historical martial arts here, with swords in a variety of sizes and styles—and Coach Paul definitely emphasizes the martial part of the art. This was EXACTLY what I was looking for. He draws form historical texts, but he’s a fighter first and foremost, and that’s what I think really sets his teaching off from other historical fencing schools—if you want to learn how to fight, he will teach you how to fight. I’m going to do a bit of bragging here, but some of our sword fighters are competition-winners (I’m not among them—I’m actually mediocre at best, but I love being able to learn from these awesome people).Really, I could go on and on about how much I love Tosetti Institute, and the people there. This was unfortunately the shortest I could keep this review while doing them any sort of justice, and it’s only an inkling of how much I love this place. Even sadder is the fact that I’ll be moving out of the area in the spring/ summer—of all the things in the SF Bay Area, Tosetti Institute and the people I’ve met there are what I will miss the most, and I don’t think I’ll ever find their equal.“

“Kathy @hartforhealth is as good as it gets! Ive tried to get motivated and enjoy the gym for so very long. It never seemed to happen. I have been a member of a well known gym for years and to make it in even 1x a week was usually boring and tough. When my husband found Kathy he said I should try her that I would love her. Of course who listens to husbands right...? SOme time passed he trained for a marathon with her and finally I caved...I went once and instantly bought a package. Her energy, her liveliness, her dance moves, her music, her smile, her over all workout made me excited and actually enjoy myself. It has been almost a year now and I have seen massive changes and not only do I go to her 1:1 sessions my mom and I go to her Cardio Boost classes. Never does 1 hour go by so quickly! I have grown to enjoy working out WITH her and also still try and make it to gym on my own. She motivates me and makes me excited. I now wear tank tops more often and completely confident.. and shorter skirts than I have in years.. recently I trained for my first Spartan race and not only did she train us she did it with us! “I've been going about 8 months, my first exposure to Tai Chi. The teachers seem to have a martial arts perspective, but even if you are not interested in that perspective (I'm not particularly) it gives a certain focus and emphasis to the teaching, and you can really see the layers of learning you can acquire if you stay with it. I have noticed not that many beginners make it all the way through (it takes 5-6 months continual attendance), but there are a core of experienced attendees, and any one of them can be your teacher on a night ... even if they aren't the designated teacher for the night they are happy to emport some of their "body wisdom".“
