“Many years ago we had Jenna Bayer Garden Design completely remodel the backyard of our first home: new plants & trees, water saving irrigation system, a charming water feature, Adirondack chair area with a granite boulder as coffee table and the perfect deck roof addition with overhead gas heater. It was perfect!We loved her work, her eye for great design and her attention to detail so much that many years later when we moved into out new larger home (and larger property, we had her completely redesign the front, back and side yards. This included again all new plants & irrigation, plus a brand new deck (with 2 electric louver roofs, copper hammered fire table, water feature between two raised vegetable garden beds, several salt and pepper granite boulders added to complement the several existing 85 year old Redwood trees, a decomposed granite pathways and a wandering bluestone walkway leading to a new stone lined driveway.Today the garden and ground look wonderful and as our hobby is maintaining the garden ourselves, we are always being complimented on how beautiful the yard looks. So much so that we keep the landscape summary binder we received handy so we can answer the multitude of questions we receive about the plants in the yard. “We contacted Terra Rubina after seeing her signs in some very nice looking yards in our neighborhood. Juliana was (and still is) great to work with. We had an outdoor space that had to be completely reimagined - floor, fences, gates, planting etc. Juliana was extremely flexible in finding a solution that fit within our budget. Step by step we converted a previously non-usable area into an outdoor oasis that we are looking forward to fully taking advantage of this spring and summer. Juliana understood our needs to come up with a planting plan that is low maintenance. She was also always very honest on what investments make sense now vs. what we should first have 'grow' on us before we make further decisions. Juliana was also a great help as we discovered a leak in our watering system and she was able to quickly come by and fix it. “The crew from Jim Lord is GREAT!! Our sprinklers in our gardens here in California had not been working in two years. Other companies had tried to fix them with no luck and just made things worse. Gilberto from JL got them all up and running in no time. The lawns and shrubs are finally green again. We also had Victor come and do some re-landscaping of my veggie & cutting gardens. “Mike Hertzer and his team at Modern Landscaping recently completed a front and backyard installation for my husband and I at a newly built residence in Morgan Hill. Mike is truly a dedicated landscape professional. Mike was organized, on top of the job at all times, respectful and caring of his crew, and informed of the latest and best materials and techniques for the job. What's more, Mike is extremely knowledgeable about a wide range of plant material. He was very patient with my many questions; I learned a lot from him. He also had a great working relationship with our landscape designer who clearly respected Mike's expertise. Our site had several challenges that Mike easily handled, including poor drainage and poor soil quality. And although not an extremely large project, our design included several types of hardscape (Mike's crew did an absolutely beautiful job of cutting and laying a stone patio), multiple planting areas, two water fountains and a variety of other details. Mike didn't take shortcuts. Every step of the installation was done carefully. I especially appreciated Mike's attention to detail, such as building the AC enclosures in such a way they could be easily removed for future access. Or covering the openings into the underground drainage pipes with mesh so that leaves and other debris would not fall into them. Mike even provided extra parts for the irrigation system and provided me with an "as installed" diagram showing where the underground electrical and water lines were located - not just a paper copy, but a laminated one I could take outside. In short, Mike truly cares about the quality of work done under his name. I am so glad we chose Modern Landscaping to install our yard and would absolutely recommend them for any landscaping project.“

“We contacted Peninsula Concrete to help switch out the old water meter box at the sidewalk and repaired the sidewalk back to initial stage. This includes cutting the existing sidewalk, removing the old box, and dropping in the new larger water meter box. Dennis and his team (family business) did that flawlessly. First, Dennis stopped by onsite to discuss the job scope, then followed by a quote the same day. We explained to Dennis that we need this job done ASAP. He is able to help by sending his team to perform the job within the next few days. Most importantly, he scheduled & passed the inspection the same day they perform the prep work, which is extremely efficient. And we got our final approval the week after. Adrianna from his team is also very helpful, by providing all the required paperworks for City permit application before we start the project. We highly recommend Peninsula Concrete for sidewalk or concrete services because they did a great job and they are very helpful and accommodating.“

“Brothers Service Tree Care just pruned nearly 30 trees on my property and did an outstanding job from beginning to end.The project started with a free estimate from Angel, their arborist. Compared to talking with other arborists, I felt much more confident in Angel's knowledge of trees and recommendations for their care. Angel did a great job of explaining the why behind his recommendations and walked me through how the work would be done. Angel and the front office (Monserrat) were super responsive to my follow up requests and questions before we finalized the agreement.As discussed, Angel stopped by with the crew on the day of the job slightly early to do a walk through with my wife and me to make sure our expectations were clear. In the walk through, he noted a few extra plants that needed some trimming and kindly offered to take care of those for no extra charge.Within a day, his crew did a beautiful job of topping off and thinning out a lot of overgrown trees.
